Chapter 27: The Old Colleague

William was also taken aback by surprise when he recognized the woman approaching him.

"Kate...?"

Kate was his colleague at the Waste Management company and one of the few persons who never looked down on him.

She would always buy food for him whenever he was done with his shift for the day and had tried to get their boss to promote him several times.

Unlike him, she was a customer care agent who got to sit in front of a screen in a beautiful office.

Kate had suddenly disappeared from work one day and all efforts to find her since then proved futile.

Kate got close to him and whispered so no one would hear her. "William. Is this you? What are you doing here?"

There was a concern all over her small face.

William Miller smiled happily on seeing this old friend of his.

"Kate, where have you been? I've searched everywhere for you"

She tried to keep her head down and stammered, "It's a long story, William"

"Kate, how dare you bring your boyfriend to work?" A female voice suddenly roared
