Chapter 8

Kyra and Lucas were very surprised about it. Lucas could hardly believe that he had been invited by the Warlord's family. Especially when they came with quite a large army. This seemed surprising.

Kyra quickly withdrew the invitation that was still in her servant's hand. He hoped that the servant had made a mistake in reading. But when he looked at it, it actually said Rihanna's name. "This can't be."

"How can this invitation be written in Rihanna's name?" Kyra looked at Rihanna sarcastically. Envy and disbelief clashed in her heart. "Even I'm much more dominant than that bitch."

Lucas clenched his fists. "They should have written my name on it." her gaze looked stern.

No one thought that the messengers from the Warlord family were the ones Kaiden had called earlier.

Meanwhile, Rihanna herself was feeling quite confused. She could hardly believe it now that she had the invitation in her own name.

Just as Rihanna was about to take the invitation, Kyra rudely swatted away Rihanna's hand. "Put your filthy hands away. I'm pretty sure this is wrong. It should say grandfather, or me, and not you." Kyra spoke sarcastically. She gripped the invitation tightly.

Kyra became annoyed, but at the moment she was staring at her grandfather. "This can't be. I'm sure this is all a mistake. And we have to meet them."

Lucas nodded his head. "Yes, I agree with you. We have to meet them. I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be my name." Lucas had full confidence in himself.

"Are they all still out front?" Kyra asked with her gaze fixed on the butler.

The butler shook his head politely. "No, sir. They had left. "But they also said that this invitation was intended for Miss Rihanna." The butler tried to explain it to Kyra and Lucas.

Kyra gave him a sharp glare. He was not happy with the butler's words. "Be quiet. We don't need any explanation from you. You shouldn't have let them leave before we went to see her."

Lucas did not say anything. He quickly passed over the body of his servant and rushed out of the room. Sure enough, right now he saw no one outside. They had already left.

This time Lucas returned to meet them. He had a serious look on his face. "I'm pretty sure that this invitation was sent to me." Lucas spoke confidently.

"I am the head of the Adams family and I am a very influential man. They should know that I'm an elder here and that the invitation should be in my name. Who would recognize that woman?" Lucas felt very emotional.

Lucas gave his servant a sharp glare. "They were stupid to give the invitation to Rihanna. Didn't you ask before?"

Kyra agreed with her grandfather. "Yes, even if the invitee is the granddaughter of the Adams family, then I should be the one to get the invitation. I am the granddaughter of the more dominant Adams family. As you can see, I'm smart enough to manage the Adams family business. And that's why I'm so influential in the Adams family." Kyra said many things to the servant in front of her.

Rihanna was silent. She actually wanted to confirm the invitation. But right now the invitation was still in Kyra's hands, and Rihanna didn't dare to snatch it.

"I know that the invitation must have been sent to me, right? I am the elder of the Adams family. I think you heard wrong. They might have said that they made a slight mistake. It's okay, I'll forgive her." Lucas spoke with confidence. He was very confident that they would soon find out about his mistake as well.

The waiter shook his head. "Sir, there wasn't any mistake in the invitation. They also said clearly."

The man's gaze was currently fixed on the invitation in Kyra's hand. He took the invitation politely. then looked at Rihanna. "Miss Rihanna, this is the invitation for you."

With great hesitation, Rihanna took the invitation. Her hand trembled slightly. "Is this really for me?" Rihanna asked for confirmation.

"That's right, miss. You got the invitation and they said you should come." The man reassured Rihanna.

"This seems absurd. How could the great commander's family give Rihanna an invitation?" Lucas shouted to his servant. She was currently giving a sharp look to her servant. He knew that the man might have made a mistake.While there the butler ignored it. He had stated the truth to his master.

Kaiden smiled at Rihanna. There was clear confusion as well as excitement on Rihanna's face. Then Kaiden spoke, "You have now received an invitation from the warlord. The invitation is specifically for you." Kaiden reassured Rihanna again.

Rihanna looked at him. She still couldn't say anything at the moment. But there, Kaiden continued, "And now, you don't have to spend the night with anyone. You're free from here."

Lucas was unable to calm down. He immediately took the invitation from her. Once again, Lucas wanted to check even though it was clear he had heard from his servant who had heard directly from a messenger from the Warlord's family.

Before this, Lucas had no idea that it was the invitation Kaiden had been talking about. He thought that Kaiden was just pretending and fantasizing about getting the invitation. But after hearing Kaiden's words to Rihanna, he remembered everything Kaiden had said before.

"This can't be." Lucas murmured softly. He lowered the invitation and looked at Kaiden's face with disbelief. Lucas wanted to refuse to believe that Kaiden could actually get such a prestigious invitation.

Looking at Lucas who was staring at him with anger, Kaiden grinned faintly. "Do you believe me this time?"

"This is so strange. How can a penniless person like you be connected to a warlord's family?" Lucas urged Kaiden to tell him the truth. This really could not be believed easily.

Kaiden seemed to smile at Lucas's words. "You're a typical person who doesn't want to take anyone's word for it." Kaiden said it casually.

This made Lucas feel angry, but he ignored Kaiden's words. His gaze fell on the invitation in his hand, then he thought for a moment. "I know that it's possible that this invitation is a fake invitation."

Kyra nodded her head quickly. "Grandfather is right. I'm pretty sure that the invitation must have been forged. "Because this makes more sense at the moment."

"A lousy man like him could be stuck with a big family like theirs. Although he was a soldier, but he was an ordinary soldier. He's a disgusting, stupid man. Just because he wanted to get recognition he forged this invitation." Kyra said it with great certainty.

Kaiden's gaze fell on the two people in front of him as they continued to insult him. "they are very bad people." She muttered under her breath, and the insults she received further spurred a grudge in her heart towards the Adams family.
