Malik took careful aim with the RPG, his finger tightening on the trigger. The rocket shot forward with a deafening sound, but this time, the ghoul was ready. It twisted its massive body at the last second, letting the explosive slam harmlessly into a wrecked car behind it. The resulting explosion left a huge mess in the parking lot.

Hadi swore loudly as he and Ali kept up their suppressing fire, bullets peppering the ghoul's torso. But even as they watched, the ghoul's wounds began closing before their eyes.

"Malik! Nawras! Hamza!" Hadi shouted to his comm. "Take another shot now! Look at its shoulder!"

Malik's blood ran cold when he saw it, thick black tendrils of flesh snaking out from the ghoul's severed arm joint, slowly reforming the limb.

Nawras and Hamza scrambled to reload, but the ghoul gave them no breathing room. It lunged at Hadi and Ali with terrifying speed, forcing them to dive in opposite directions. Hadi barely rolled clear as claws tore through the concrete

Ali was leaving work in his car when a traffic officer stopped him at the signal and accused him of talking on the phone, even though he wasn't.Ali told the officer that he wasn't on the phone, but the officer insisted that he had only put his phone away when he saw him and confiscated his license. Ali protested, but the officer threatened to arrest him if he didn’t cooperate. Trying to keep his cool, Ali decided to just go home to avoid further trouble, knowing the officer was deliberately provoking him. Once home, Ali called Hadi and told him what had happened. Hadi reassured him, saying he would handle it, he would contact the licensing department and get his license back, especially since surveillance footage proved his innocence. He explained that the authorities were targeting Knights on purpose to provoke them, and Ali wasn’t the only one. Knights across the country especially in Tulkarm and Jenin, were being harassed because of their large numbers, and because they were mo

Hadi gathered the knights in the headquarters’ meeting room, his expression unreadable but his posture tense. The air was thick with anticipation as they took their seats—Hazim leaning forward with his arms crossed, Marwan silent in the corner, Ali and Laith exchanging glances, while Malik remained as stoic as ever. "We have a new problem,"Hadi began, his voice calm but edged with frustration. "Even after the union leader appeared on television, declaring our need for financial support and our willingness to cooperate with the government—even stating that we already comply with laws and operate legally—the Prime Minister just publicly denied any negotiations with us. He claimed there have been no discussions and no intention to partner with the Knights."A heavy silence followed. Then, Hazim scoffed, shaking his head. "After everything we’ve done? After the battles we’ve fought to protect this country?"Marwan’s jaw tightened, but he said nothing. Ali frowned. "What does this mea

Ali walked into headquarters to find Nawras and Bader sitting in front of a laptop, laughing while scrolling through comments. "What are you two doing? What’s so funny?" Nawras looked up and said "Fadi is still posting videos about us on social media. He uploaded a hilarious clip of Bader from yesterday’s mission with Malik, there were these weird frog-like ghouls, disgusting creatures. When Bader killed one, its slime splattered all over his face. The look on his face was priceless, he was so grossed out! People turned it into memes, and we’ve been laughing at them for an hour." Ali raised an eyebrow, he didn't know Fadi was still making content about them. "It’s strange that people recognize Bader even though he hasn’t done many missions and was away for so long." Hamza chimed in "People know all of us. Fadi’s social media content keeps them updated. Even after he left our group, he kept posting about us, and tons of people share his videos, discussing our work." Ali wonde

The headquarters was quiet, the glow of desk lamps casting long shadows across the room. Laith leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, a satisfied grin on his face. "I'm telling you, Ali, Sedei is something else," he said, shaking his head in admiration. "Now I get why Hazim always runs to him whenever he’s stuck on something. Even Hadi and Haitham go to him for advice. Did you see how people gather around him at the mosque? They just know like he’s got this… this light around him." Ali smirked, flipping through a file. "Yeah, yeah, we get it. Your grandfather is a legend." Laith ignored the teasing, still caught up in the moment. "No, seriously! The way he just knew what to do no hesitation, no fear. Just walked in there, recited the Quran, and then Salim was free. That’s not normal knowledge, Ali. That’s barakah." Ali chuckled. "Alright, I’ll admit it. He’s a good man. Maybe one day you’ll be half as wise." Laith threw a crumpled paper at him. "Shut up." The door to the

The tires screeched as Ali pulled up to headquarters. Before the car had fully stopped, Laith was already striding toward Hadi's office, with Ali close behind.Hadi looked up from his desk, his expression grave. "You're sure he's telling the truth?"Laith nodded. "I don't think he's lying, he looked desperate for help. And we can't turn our back on him, we must find a way to get rid of the ghoul."Hadi leaned back in his chair, folding his arms. "Go to your grandfather."Laith blinked. "My grandpa? Why?""He'll know what to do.""That doesn't make sense—""Just go," Hadi cut in, firm. "Time is running out."Laith hesitated, then exhaled sharply. "Fine."The drive to his grandparents' house was quiet, Ali gripping the wheel while Laith stewed in silence. When they arrived, the familiar scent of jasmine from the garden hit him, a flood of childhood memories. Before he could knock, the door swung open."Laith!" His grandmother gasped, her face lighting up. She pulled him into a crushing

The prison cell light cast shadows across The detainee, whose name is Salim Al Ramhi's face as he began speaking, his voice hollow. Laith and Ali sat across from him, listening intently."It started with my wife," Salim said, staring at the floor. "No, my ex-wife now. We fought constantly near the end. She accused me of stealing her money, but I swear to you, I never stole anything in my life. Not from her, not from anyone." His hands trembled as he spoke."When the divorce was finalized, she got everything, the house, our savings, even our cat." A bitter laugh escaped his lips. "I ended up in a tiny apartment, barely enough room to turn around. But I thought... at least I still had my job at the hotel."He looked up, his eyes glistening. "Then her father got involved. That bastard went to my boss and told him I was a thief, a scammer. Suddenly I was fired with no references. No one would hire me after that. The rumors spread... thief, fraud, dishonest." Salim's voice cracked. "I sen
