The living room was silent.

Dead silent.

Everyone stared at Ethan Blackwell as though they had just seen a ghost.

One hundred trillion dollars?

The richest man alive?

It sounded absurd.

Impossible.

Ridiculous.

Victoria Hart was the first to recover.

Then she burst into laughter.

"Hahaha!"

The others quickly joined her.

Sophia frowned slightly.

"Mother..."

Victoria waved dismissively.

"Do you seriously believe this nonsense?"

She pointed at Ethan.

"This loser?"

"This man couldn't even afford a decent suit!"

"He spent three years washing dishes and cleaning floors!"

"And now you're telling me he's the heir to a hundred-trillion-dollar empire?"

The Hart family erupted into laughter once again.

Even Ethan remained calm.

Sebastian Cole simply adjusted his glasses.

His expression remained indifferent.

"You find this amusing?"

Victoria sneered.

"Of course."

"Now leave before I call security."

Sebastian nodded.

"As you wish."

He raised a hand.

One of the bodyguards immediately stepped forward and placed a briefcase on the table.

Click.

The briefcase opened.

Inside were stacks of documents.

Bank statements.

Ownership certificates.

International business licenses.

Shareholding records.

Every single document carried official seals.

The laughter slowly faded.

Victoria's smile stiffened.

Sophia's eyes widened.

Sebastian picked up one file.

"Blackwell Global Holdings."

He placed it before them.

"Current valuation: one hundred and three trillion dollars."

Another file.

"Blackwell International Bank."

Another.

"Blackwell Energy Corporation."

Another.

"Blackwell Aerospace."

One after another.

The documents piled higher and higher.

Soon the table was completely covered.

Nobody laughed anymore.

Cold sweat appeared on Victoria's forehead.

Sophia's breathing became uneven.

Could it be true?

"No..."

Sophia whispered.

"This can't be possible."

Ethan said nothing.

Because even he was still processing everything.

Sebastian turned toward him respectfully.

"Young Master."

"The private jet is prepared."

"The board of directors is waiting."

"The inheritance ceremony begins tomorrow morning."

The entire room shook with disbelief.

Private jet?

Board of directors?

Inheritance ceremony?

Everything sounded too real.

Too detailed.

Too impossible to be fake.

Then—

The front door suddenly opened.

A confident voice echoed through the house.

"Sophia!"

Everyone turned.

A tall young man entered carrying an expensive bouquet.

His custom-made suit alone was worth more than most people's annual salary.

Damien Sterling.

Vice President of Sterling International.

The man Sophia was planning to marry.

The man who had bought Ethan's marriage.

Damien entered with a smile.

Then he noticed the strange atmosphere.

"What happened?"

Nobody answered.

Victoria quickly forced a smile.

"Nothing."

Damien's eyes soon landed on Ethan.

His smile immediately turned mocking.

"Oh."

"The loser is still here."

Ethan remained silent.

Damien walked over arrogantly.

"So."

"The divorce is finished?"

"Good."

He wrapped an arm around Sophia's waist.

Sophia subconsciously hesitated.

But she didn't pull away.

Damien smirked at Ethan.

"You should thank me."

"If not for me, Sophia would have wasted even more years on a useless man."

The Hart family nodded eagerly.

A few even laughed.

Damien enjoyed every second of it.

Humiliating Ethan had become one of his favorite hobbies.

Then his eyes landed on Sebastian.

"Who's the old man?"

Victoria immediately replied.

"Some actor."

"He's pretending Ethan inherited a giant empire."

Damien burst into laughter.

"Really?"

He looked at Ethan.

"You've become so desperate that you're hiring actors now?"

The room filled with ridicule once more.

Sebastian's face darkened.

But Ethan raised a hand.

The old steward immediately fell silent.

Ethan slowly stepped forward.

For the first time since signing the divorce papers, his expression carried authority.

Real authority.

The kind that made people instinctively nervous.

He looked directly at Damien.

"You seem happy."

Damien smirked.

"Of course I am."

"I won."

"You lost."

Ethan nodded.

"You're right."

For a moment Damien looked surprised.

Then Ethan continued.

"You won a woman willing to abandon her husband for money."

The smile on Damien's face disappeared.

Sophia's face turned pale.

"You won a family willing to sell their daughter to save a company."

Victoria's expression darkened.

"And you won a business that's three months away from bankruptcy."

Silence.

Absolute silence.

Damien's eyes narrowed.

"Watch your mouth."

Ethan smiled.

"Am I wrong?"

Damien's fists clenched.

"What do you know about business?"

"A househusband shouldn't discuss things beyond his intelligence."

Ethan's smile widened.

"I know enough."

Damien stepped closer.

"You think inheriting some fake company makes you important?"

"You know what I think?"

"What?"

"I think you'll be begging on the streets within a week."

The Hart family laughed again.

Then—

Sebastian's phone rang.

He glanced at the screen.

A smile appeared.

"Interesting."

"What is it?" Ethan asked.

Sebastian handed him the phone.

Ethan read the message.

Then he laughed.

His laughter confused everyone.

Damien frowned.

"What are you laughing about?"

Ethan looked directly into his eyes.

"Tell me."

"How much is Sterling International worth?"

Damien proudly lifted his chin.

"Eight billion dollars."

"Why?"

Ethan handed the phone back to Sebastian.

"Buy it."

The room froze.

Damien blinked.

"What?"

Ethan turned around and began walking toward the door.

As though discussing the weather.

"Buy Sterling International."

"I don't like looking at him."

Sebastian bowed.

"Understood, Young Master."

Damien stared at them.

Then he laughed loudly.

"Hahaha!"

"Are you insane?"

"You think you can buy my company?"

Nobody answered.

Because Ethan had already reached the door.

Before leaving, he paused.

Without turning around, he spoke.

His voice was calm.

But every word struck like thunder.

"Today, you forced me out of this house."

"Tomorrow..."

He slowly glanced over his shoulder.

His eyes swept across Sophia.

Victoria.

Damien.

Every member of the Hart family.

"I'll make all of you understand exactly who you threw away."

A chill ran down their spines.

For some reason...

Not one of them could laugh anymore.

As Ethan stepped into the waiting luxury car, dozens of bodyguards immediately bowed.

The convoy began moving.

One car.

Five cars.

Ten cars.

Twenty cars.

An endless procession of black luxury vehicles disappeared into the night.

The Hart family stood frozen.

Watching.

Sophia's heart suddenly felt empty.

For the first time in three years...

She wondered if she had made the biggest mistake of her life.

And far away, inside Blackwell Global's headquarters, an emergency meeting was already beginning.

Because the return of the true heir had finally shaken the entire world.
