11. Shopping Mall Drama

Chapter Eleven

“Yes, that’s the guy I am telling you about. I don’t trust him ,no one has ever come to buy anything with a black card in this mall and it’s suspicious, look at the way he looks, check out his shabby hair for goodness sakes and his clothes are tattered!” said the mall attendant pointing towards me with some few other attendants behind her and there was one that had the tag called “Manager “.

“Excuse me young lady, I will kindly advise you to refrain from making such assumptions” said Xander a little bit loudly feeling really pissed and tat attracted some customers attention and there was a mini crowd already forming

“So sorry, young man. Let’s get to the bottom of this matter and resolve peacefully without attracting unnecessary attention please ” said the manger

“Can you cash this for me and I need to talk to you about something important too” said Xander to the manager ignoring the mall attendants that were sending glances his way.

“Okay, Can I take your card and cash it myself ?”asked the manager in a professional manner which her respected and gave the manager the black card

“Sir, it’s you young master Kings. Please forgive me and have mercy on me . I have learnt my lesson and I will never downgrade or belittle anybody even if it’s a little child in my life again. Please hello, young master , I need my job back” said a man who came out of the little crowd of customers and laid down flat on the ground gripping Xanders legs and crying with tears and mucus all over his face.

“Who are you ?“ asked Xander all confused

“Did you forget about me? It’s me the waiter at the Royal Castle Restroom and I am here to ask for forgiveness and beg you to take me in as the new owner “pleaded the man which made people become more curious even the looks on the faces of the mall attendant and salesgirl changed.

“Young master Kings, pardon and forgive us for our negligence and carelessness.Please don’t pay for the clothes , it’s our way of apologizing “ said the manager bowing down before she turned and gave the mall attendants a duty look

“Won’t you idiots come and ask for his forgiveness , it’s an honour for him to grace our mall but your fish brain didn’t inform you to always be polite” the manager quallarelled the girls who bowed down and started apologizing.

“Who is he ?”

“He seems so influential “

“He is so tall and handsome, is he’s celebrity or a famous athlete?”

“He must be a powerful man”

“Maybe a billionaire in disguise, just like in the movies and books” the customers kept commenting trying to figure out who the mystery person is.The shopping mall was suddenly all rowdy with people whispering in hushed tones.

“It’s alright, I have forgiven you all. Can I have a word with you in private ?” Xander asked the manager, he didn’t have time to waste because these people were begging hun for mercy. He had better things to do and an Elite party to prepare for.

“Yes Young master” said the manager collecting the shopping bags from Xander as she led him to her office while the mall attendants and sales girls kept looking at everything unwinding with horror and fear of loosing their jobs capturing their hearts.

“How can I help you Sir and do you care for wine “ asked the Manager trying to be hospitable but her hands were shaking and she picked up the bottle of water on her desk to drink and calm her nerves.

“I want to buy this mall “ said Xander straight to the point which made the Shopping mall manager to choke on the water till she spit it out out of surprise

“Pardon this mess Sir” she said standing up and cleaning the desk and her body with a tissue paper.

“It’s okay, I need you to calm down so that we can talk properly “ said Xander and the manager took some few breathe before they continued their conversation

“How do I buy it ? I need to see the papers and the profit margins , I need to see the growth development, quality of things sold and also I need to know about the character and quality of the employees '' said Xander as the Manager started hitting down some few things in her notepad

“Sir, you will have to discuss all these with the board of directors . They normally have a weekly meeting on Monday’s and I will suggest you exercise a little patience and wait for monday. Then you can talk to the stakeholders directly because I am a simple employee and have no say in such big matters “said the Manager honestly and she was indeed making a lot of sense, it’s the weekend already.

“Okay, give me your business card and I will have my secretary and lawyers contact you” said Xander using his business tone which gives him a charismatic aura.

“I will need a business card for myself and I will rename all my investments to carry the surname KINGS “ thought Xander and he quickly wrote it down in his journal so that he won’t forget his plans and ideas.

“Please let me hold your shopping bags for you sir “ said the manager but Xander declined , everything he bought fits into a medium sized bag and he can carry it himself.

“It was nice meeting with you” said Xander giving the manager a solid handshake before heading out of the mall with his shopping bags, Xander noticed that people were pointing and staring at him but he ignored them and kept waking out when Karen appeared out of nowhere blocking his view, she was alone this time around, Bianca , Suzy and her so called perfect boyfriend is No with her.

He tried walking around her but she kept blocking his view which made him stop.

“What do you want from me Karen ?” Xander asked her and lifted up her eyes to look at him as she kept twirling the strand of her hair and batting her long false eyelashes at him, her cleavage were all out as if they would fall out if her tight crop top.

“Do you have something in your eyes ?” Xander asked Karen again because he has no idea of what’s going on between them especially when he doesn’t have any business with her.
