Ethan storms into Clara's office and she smiles. “I knew you would come to your senses, it took you too long. And to be clear, the next time you give me such silly conditions, I won't forgive or allow you to come back home.”

Ethan huffed and chuckled angrily. “You think I came here to talk about coming home? Me returning home would be the least of your worries if you don't do something about this!” He yelled and pushed the iPad to her table.

Clara looked at it with a frown. “What is that supposed to be?” She muttered.

“What does it look like?!” Ethan yelled.

“Hey, don't you dare raise your voice at me!”

“No! You don't get to tell me how to react to this. I know that you have been secretly funneling company assets to Damian Lillard, how could you do such a thing?!”

Clara froze when she heard that. How did he find out?

“Ethan, it's not what you think.” She said softly and stood up to pacify him.

“Oh it's exactly what I think! Now listen to me, you are going to end this bullshit, all of it. If you don't reverse all of these assets back to the right control, I am going to walk away, not just from our home or this marriage, but from the company as well.” He announced.

Clara's heart skipped in fear. She might no longer fancy Ethan but she couldn't undermine his importance in the company, especially now.

“Come on Ethan, don't you think you are overreacting a bit? It was just some million dollar assets, the company can survive without it.” She smiled nervously.

“Are you crazy? First off, the company might be in your name but that is not yours to give. I worked my ass off for everyone of that asset, and how could you just steal it for that good-for-nothing and say it's not a big deal? I am telling you to reverse it right now or I quit!”

“Bullshit, we both know you are bluffing. You can't quit working here or leave me, what would you do without me? You are too obsessed to think for yourself, you need me.” Clara bragged.

“I am not bluffing, Clara. I have put up with your nonsense enough, I am not going to stay silent anymore. In case you forgot, the presentation of the Nexus Home OS to potential investors is tomorrow, the event can't be held without me, the company will fail to secure the investors and it will be a huge blow and possibly the death of the project.” Ethan warned.

“Oh please.” Clara rolled her eyes. “You think too much of yourself, if you chose to leave, don't think I will beg you to stay. You are not as important as you think, Ethan Vale.” She fired.

Ethan was disappointed to hear that. “So you have made your choice then? You won't reverse the assets? Then I am done here, I quit!”

“You are of no importance, Ethan. I am doing you a favor by being married to you, so leave if you want to. I will just replace you with Damian the moment you step out from this building, I am sure he will make a better CEO, after all he knows the project just as well as you.” she mocked.

Ethan laughed. “Replace me with Damian? That's a terrible mistake, but we will see how that goes!” He declared and stormed off.

“Yeah, go ahead and run like you always do. What a weak man, you are so jealous and insecure. You are doing us all a favor by leaving, no one needs an insatiable man like you here.” Clara rambled as he walked away.

“Hmmph!” She folded her arms and stomped her feet in anger.

“So this useless man really left? Fine, I will teach him a lesson, I will make Damian CEO, when Ethan comes begging like the lap dog he is, I will make him regret walking out!” She said in anger.
