CHAPTER 6 — “THE FIRST COUNTERATTACK”
Noah ran through the narrow service tunnel as the vault alarms blared behind him. The metal walls shook from heavy boots pounding toward the entrance. He didn’t look back. He kept moving until he reached the surface, slipping out through a broken pipe that spat him into an empty drainage trench. He took a breath and paused for a while . “Mercenaries,” he murmured. “So they already sent people after me.” He wiped dirt from his clothes and stepped onto the sidewalk like a man returning from a morning jog instead of a hidden bunker. Cars were passing and People walked by. No one knew armed killers were searching for him underground, he just looked like any ordinary man . He slipped his hands into his pockets and kept walking. “Well,” he whispered, “if they want to hunt me… I guess it’s my turn to respond.” It was time to plan his first attack . By late morning, Noah approached a tall financial building in the business district. He walked in through the side door wearing a plain cleaner’s uniform, pushing a supply cart and keeping his head down, Nobody thought it was weird that the son in law was here as a cleaner , it was normal only when it Noah . A guard glanced at him once, scanning him from head to toe . . “Hey, you’re late,” the guard said. “Sorry,” Noah replied softly. “Traffic.” The guard waved him in without interest. Noah wheeled the cart into the elevator. His reflection in the metal doors stared back at him, he was looking at a harmless useless son in law , . The same man the Lewis family never paid attention to. “Perfect disguise,” he said under his breath. The elevator opened onto a restricted floor owned by one of the Lewis family’s shell companies. He moved between the desks, empty because most employees were out for a scheduled meeting. Everything about the office looked normal but the card in Noah’s pocket pulsed lightly, guiding him. He reached a glass office. The card projected a faint red dot on the floor directly under a large server cabinet. Noah knelt, pretending to tie his shoe as he whispered, “This is it, right?” A small micro-device slid from the card, smooth and metallic. Noah placed it beneath the cabinet and stood up, adjusting his uniform. “That’s all you need to do?” he whispered. The card vibrated once in answer. Noah wheeled his cart back toward the elevator. As soon as the doors closed, his phone lit up with a silent message from the card’s system: “Transfer sequence initiated.” He watched the numbers on the screen begin to shift. Zeroes moved. Accounts unlocked themselves. Hidden assets drained like water through a cracked pipe , It was one that couldn’t be trace to nowhere just funds disappearing, it was a smooth process. . Noah leaned against the elevator wall. “You took everything from me,” he whispered. “Consider this interest.” Two hours later, the Lewis empire began to shake, there was chaos everywhere, Noah didn’t expect it to happen so fast . Board members called each other in panic. Financial partners demanded answers. One of the Lewis directors shouted so loudly in the hallway that people poked their heads out of their offices. “We’re missing nearly three hundred million! Where is it?! Who ran the transfer?!” Noah smirked and slipped out of the company quietly, he booked a uber for the first time in years , he was humming as they drove him to his destination . “ Ahhh….this is so satisfying “ Inside their mansion, Tara was pacing violently in front of the living room sofa “What do you mean it’s gone?!” she yelled into her phone. “How does that kind of money just vanish?!” Her father barked something on the other end, too loud for her to ignore. Tara pressed a hand to her forehead and groaned. “No, I don’t know where Noah is. Why would he even be involved in this? He can’t even log into a basic account!” She stopped. Her Father yell and she flinched. “…But yes. I’ll call him.” Noah had just stepped out of a quiet café when his phone rang. He looked at the caller ID. Tara. He answered calmly. “Hello?” Her voice exploded through the speaker. “Where are you?!” “Out,” he said simply. “Don’t play games with me, Noah! My father wants you home now. Something huge is happening with the accounts and—” “And?” Noah replied softly. “And he thinks you know something!” Tara snapped. “Just come home. Right now.” “ Me ? All i do is clean and take orders …i don’t even know how to log in to a bank account!” He said sheepishly, smiling . “ You think i don’t know that ? Maybe my father wants to give you orders ! Come home this minute!” Noah lifted his gaze toward the sky and he grinned with excitement. “Ohh what a day ,” he murmured. Tara hissed, “What did you say?” “Nothing,” he said gently. “I’ll be there soon.” He hung up. For a moment he simply stood there, letting the wind brush past him. His heartbeat was steady, unlike before , he wasn’t anxious or scared to walk in that mansion , matter of fact , he was anticipating “So this is how it begins,” he whispered. “Good.”Latest Chapter

What did you just say?” Margaret screamed , Mr blackwood had just broken the news of his agreement with Noah , Ivy and their teenage son was there too but they arrived late so they had no idea why their mother was screaming and nobody would speak , trying to calm their mother whose hands were trembling, eyes blazing as if she might tear something apart with her bare hands. Mr Blackwood removed his jacket slowly . “Lower your voice, You are shouting and drawing unnecessary attention ,” he said calmly. “The staffs are watching , please compose yourself “ “I don’t care about the staff!” Margaret snapped. “I care about what you just said to me. You agreed to let him take it. You agreed After everything you promised me ! How could you take su
Forsake your Wife !
Chapter 43 __Forsake Your Wife “ Noah used to be a child of this home “ Theresa added , like they didn’t hear what he had said earlier For a brief second, Either Margaret or Mr Blackwood spoke but they looked at each other countless time to confirm whether they heard the same thing . “You seem to be so shocked , You forgot how you guys always hammered on the fact that I was an orphan when I was in the Lewis house “ Noah said jokingly and Mr Blackwood laughed nervously . .Margaret’s face immediately went pale . Her lips parted slightly like she wanted to say something , but no sound came out. The confidence she had walked in with cracked instantly, replaced by a strange wind of fear , . She looked around the compound again, really looking this time, the worn walls, the faded paint, the children peeking from behind pillars and doors, the older ones standing protectively in front of the younger ones. This place wasn’t just a building she could acquire now, It was his past.Mr Blackwo
Trust Me
Chapter 42 __Trust me The next morning, Noah had woke up with just one person on his mind ,Theresa had insisted she was fine. She even told him not to worry. But Noah knew better. He had lived long enough knowing that when people said they were fine too quickly, it meant they weren’t. And the slight tremble in her voice before the call ended had settled heavily in his mind, He wanted to see her and make sure she was actually okay. .He checked the time on his watch. His meeting with Mr Blackwood was still hours away.Without overthinking it, Noah grabbed his jacket and keys. If Theresa said she was fine, he needed to see it with his own eyes. Words over the phone weren’t enough. Not when Margaret was involved. Not after everything he had just learned about those people , Plus the voice that mentioned that she was assaulted . He changed and grabbed his car keys , heading to the orphanage home , when he reached Rio’s house , Noah saw him outside and made a quick stop . “ You are alre
Drop Your Pride
Chapter 41 __Drop your pride. Noah was shocked but he was enjoying the sight. For a moment, he couldn’t move, neither could he speak. He just stood there, staring down at Robert like the scene wasn’t real. Robert was still on his knees, hands wrapped tightly around Noah’s legs, his grip desperate, even though it was humiliating or people were watching , Robert didn’t stop , he was desperate . His voice shook as he kept begging, repeating the same words over and over, like if he said them enough times, they would suddenly change Noah’s heart.“Please… please help my father,” Robert said. “He’s still your father-in-law in a way. Please.”Noah slowly pulled his legs back.“Get up,” he said quietly. But Robert didn’t move. Instead, he pressed his forehead against Noah’s knees again, Noah tried to shake him off but he held even more tighter .“I will do anything,” Robert cried. “Anything.”Noah felt something twist inside him, but it wasn’t pity. It was disbelief . He had never imagin

Chapter 40– Patterns Noah sat in the living room of his house with a bottle of beer resting loosely in his hand, Rio sat across from him, legs stretched out, a bottle balanced on his knee. They had been there for a while, drinking in silence, but Rio noticed that Noah wasn’t himself. He wasn’t in the mood for joking. He wasn’t distracted by his phone that was beeping constantly . He wasn’t even annoyed, which was worse. His face was unreadable , his eyes looked distance and it was obvious that something was bothering him . Rio took a slow sip of his drink and studied him.“You’ve been quiet,” he said finally. “That’s not normal. You look like someone punched you without touching you.”Noah didn’t answer immediately. He lifted the bottle to his lips, took a long drink, then lowered it slowly.“I went to the orphanage today,” he said.Rio straightened a little. “The one the system assigned a tax for ?”Noah nodded.. “Did you go there to find something? Like clues? Or proof?” Ruo as

Ivy noticed the silence almost immediately. It was rare for her mother to hold her tongue this long.“You’re overthinking it,” Ivy said at last, breaking the quiet. “So he came. So what?”Margaret exhaled sharply. “You are really slow …Did you just say , so what ? Are you blind ?” “I saw children running around and supplies,” Ivy replied. “That doesn’t mean anything. Noah is rich now. He’s probably doing charity to add to his aura point.”Margaret turned to her slowly. “And since when does people do anything without a reason?”Ivy frowned. “People change and moreover I just gave you a reason , To add to his good works .”“No,” Margaret rolled her eyes “ You still don’t get it.”The car continued down the road, the orphanage
