CHAPTER 5 — “THE BLACK VAULT UNLOCKED”
Noah left the mansion before dawn , he made sure everyone was still asleep before sneaking out, The card was projecting a location in his head and he was to trace it , The streets were empty and quiet, but his mind wasn’t. He kept a slow pace, hands in his pockets, he kept on looking behind him , scared that someone was following him , his eyes on the ground as the strange coordinates pulsed at the back of his mind. The card felt heavier than any object he’d ever held, as if every step he took was dragging him toward something he wasn’t prepared for. “An abandoned facility,” he muttered under his breath. “Of course.” He reached the outskirts of the city just as the morning fog settled. The area was deserted, it was just cracked concrete, rusting pipes, and a storm drain that looked like it hadn’t been touched in years. The coordinates pointed directly to it. “Great,” he whispered. “Very welcoming.” He pushed aside the metal grate. A faint mechanical click responded, almost like the facility had been waiting for him. A passageway opened beneath the ground, there was cold air rushing out and hitting his face. He hesitated only a second before stepping in. The metal tunnel stretched long, it was dark, but lights flickered on as he walked, one by one, following him down . When he reached the heart of the bunker, a massive metal door slid open. “No way…A place like this exist ?” Noah exhaled. The chamber inside looked nothing like the abandoned exterior. Everything was smooth steel and dim blue lights. Screens lined the walls. Machines were humming , it looked like one of those robotic lab he read in books .. A female digital voice echoed from the ceiling. “Identity confirmed. Noah Bennett. Successor recognized.” “Successor? Me?” he whispered. A large central console powered up. Files appeared on the screens, files he didn’t understand at first. Documents, bank records, surveillance images, signatures, confidential memos. They blinked and reorganized themselves as if the system was showing him a puzzle he was meant to solve. “Welcome to the Black Vault,” the voice said. “Designed by Agent Orion. His final directive: transfer all mission data to you.” Noah stepped closer,. “Why me? He didn’t even know me.” “You were chosen,” the voice answered. “Based on pain endured. Based on injustice recorded. Based on compatibility with the system.” Noah let out a humorless breath. “Figures. Even a machine can tell I’ve been stepped on my whole life.” The screens shifted suddenly, showing familiar faces one of them was Lewis family. There were documents tying them to shell companies, offshore accounts, suspicious transfers, transactions that didn’t belong to any lawful business. “This… this can’t be real, how do you guys have all over this ? How long has this been going on for ?,” Noah whispered. Another screen appeared. This one made him froze . . It was his parents, this was one of the reasons he was so interested in this card system, it had answers to his family’s sudden death and loss of their wealth attributed to him . A photo of them smiling weakly at a hospital bed. Another of their car the night of the accident. Another showing a black SUV following them moments before the crash. The Lewis family crest marked one of the linked documents alongside other crest, Seven all together. Noah stared, . “They were involved,” he said quietly. “All this time… and they let me marry into their house just to keep me under their heel.” “Correction,” the system said. “You were married to distract you. They expected you to break and maybe just take your life one day out of frustration ” A bitter smile tugged at Noah’s mouth. “They almost got their wish.” The system projected another set of images, maps, locked accounts, names of powerful figures scattered across the country. “This mission was created to dismantle seven dynasties controlling the nation,” the voice continued. “You now hold access to a fortune reserved for carrying out the operation.” Noah blinked slowly. “So the card wasn’t random. None of this was random.” “Correct.” He ran a hand through his hair, pacing once. “And what if I say no? What if I walk out and pretend I never saw this?” “The Mega 7 already detected the activation signal,” the system replied. “They will not allow you to walk away and whenever you terminate a family….you get a reward and a puzzle closer to discover your parent’s death “ That caught him attention . “So I don’t even have the luxury of refusing.” The lights dimmed and the floor started vibrating slightly. “Warning,” the voice said. “Additional information available.” “What now?” Noah sighed. A hologram appeared, Agent Orion, the dying stranger. His recorded message played in a low tone “ Is the dying stranger from that night ….” He whispered to himself. . “If you’re seeing this… it means I failed. And you… you’re next. The Lewis family is only the surface. You don’t know what they’ve taken from you. You don’t know who ordered it. But you will.” Noah swallowed . “Why give this to me? You could’ve found someone stronger.” “No,” the recording replied. “Strength isn’t what breaks a dynasty. A man with nothing left to lose does.” The hologram flickered off. Noah stood there in silence for a long moment. He wasn’t shaking. He wasn’t panicking. He just felt a cold clarity settling inside him, replacing the years of humiliation with something sharper. “I guess that makes me the perfect candidate,” he whispered. The machines responded as if understanding him. The vault lights brightened, and the system projected a final message onto the air in front of him: “Mission initialization complete.” Noah stared at it, his expression unreadable. For the first time, he didn’t feel small. He didn’t feel powerless. He didn’t even feel like the man the Lewis family enjoyed abusing. He felt something else, something steady and dangerous, he had power …actual power . “Fine,” he said quietly. “If they started this… I’ll finish it.” Before he could think further, a shrill alarm exploded through the vault. Red lights flashed wildly across the chamber. “Alert,” the system warned. “Unauthorized entry detected. Someone followed you.” Noah turned toward the entrance, features calm but eyes dark with a new edge. “Of course they did,” he whispered. “The day just keeps getting better.”Latest Chapter

What did you just say?” Margaret screamed , Mr blackwood had just broken the news of his agreement with Noah , Ivy and their teenage son was there too but they arrived late so they had no idea why their mother was screaming and nobody would speak , trying to calm their mother whose hands were trembling, eyes blazing as if she might tear something apart with her bare hands. Mr Blackwood removed his jacket slowly . “Lower your voice, You are shouting and drawing unnecessary attention ,” he said calmly. “The staffs are watching , please compose yourself “ “I don’t care about the staff!” Margaret snapped. “I care about what you just said to me. You agreed to let him take it. You agreed After everything you promised me ! How could you take su
Forsake your Wife !
Chapter 43 __Forsake Your Wife “ Noah used to be a child of this home “ Theresa added , like they didn’t hear what he had said earlier For a brief second, Either Margaret or Mr Blackwood spoke but they looked at each other countless time to confirm whether they heard the same thing . “You seem to be so shocked , You forgot how you guys always hammered on the fact that I was an orphan when I was in the Lewis house “ Noah said jokingly and Mr Blackwood laughed nervously . .Margaret’s face immediately went pale . Her lips parted slightly like she wanted to say something , but no sound came out. The confidence she had walked in with cracked instantly, replaced by a strange wind of fear , . She looked around the compound again, really looking this time, the worn walls, the faded paint, the children peeking from behind pillars and doors, the older ones standing protectively in front of the younger ones. This place wasn’t just a building she could acquire now, It was his past.Mr Blackwo
Trust Me
Chapter 42 __Trust me The next morning, Noah had woke up with just one person on his mind ,Theresa had insisted she was fine. She even told him not to worry. But Noah knew better. He had lived long enough knowing that when people said they were fine too quickly, it meant they weren’t. And the slight tremble in her voice before the call ended had settled heavily in his mind, He wanted to see her and make sure she was actually okay. .He checked the time on his watch. His meeting with Mr Blackwood was still hours away.Without overthinking it, Noah grabbed his jacket and keys. If Theresa said she was fine, he needed to see it with his own eyes. Words over the phone weren’t enough. Not when Margaret was involved. Not after everything he had just learned about those people , Plus the voice that mentioned that she was assaulted . He changed and grabbed his car keys , heading to the orphanage home , when he reached Rio’s house , Noah saw him outside and made a quick stop . “ You are alre
Drop Your Pride
Chapter 41 __Drop your pride. Noah was shocked but he was enjoying the sight. For a moment, he couldn’t move, neither could he speak. He just stood there, staring down at Robert like the scene wasn’t real. Robert was still on his knees, hands wrapped tightly around Noah’s legs, his grip desperate, even though it was humiliating or people were watching , Robert didn’t stop , he was desperate . His voice shook as he kept begging, repeating the same words over and over, like if he said them enough times, they would suddenly change Noah’s heart.“Please… please help my father,” Robert said. “He’s still your father-in-law in a way. Please.”Noah slowly pulled his legs back.“Get up,” he said quietly. But Robert didn’t move. Instead, he pressed his forehead against Noah’s knees again, Noah tried to shake him off but he held even more tighter .“I will do anything,” Robert cried. “Anything.”Noah felt something twist inside him, but it wasn’t pity. It was disbelief . He had never imagin

Chapter 40– Patterns Noah sat in the living room of his house with a bottle of beer resting loosely in his hand, Rio sat across from him, legs stretched out, a bottle balanced on his knee. They had been there for a while, drinking in silence, but Rio noticed that Noah wasn’t himself. He wasn’t in the mood for joking. He wasn’t distracted by his phone that was beeping constantly . He wasn’t even annoyed, which was worse. His face was unreadable , his eyes looked distance and it was obvious that something was bothering him . Rio took a slow sip of his drink and studied him.“You’ve been quiet,” he said finally. “That’s not normal. You look like someone punched you without touching you.”Noah didn’t answer immediately. He lifted the bottle to his lips, took a long drink, then lowered it slowly.“I went to the orphanage today,” he said.Rio straightened a little. “The one the system assigned a tax for ?”Noah nodded.. “Did you go there to find something? Like clues? Or proof?” Ruo as
A Threat and A Letter
Chapter 39 __A Threat and A Letter Margaret Blackwood did not speak as the car pulled away from the orphanage. Her eyes stayed fixed on the road ahead, but she was trying to still wrapped her head around what had just happened , and Theresa’s strange confidence. Ivy noticed the silence almost immediately. It was rare for her mother to hold her tongue this long.“You’re overthinking it,” Ivy said at last, breaking the quiet. “So he came. So what?”Margaret exhaled sharply. “You are really slow …Did you just say , so what ? Are you blind ?” “I saw children running around and supplies,” Ivy replied. “That doesn’t mean anything. Noah is rich now. He’s probably doing charity to add to his aura point.”Margaret turned to her slowly. “And since when does people do anything without a reason?”Ivy frowned. “People change and moreover I just gave you a reason , To add to his good works .”“No,” Margaret rolled her eyes “ You still don’t get it.”The car continued down the road, the orphanage
