The Charismatic Return Of Adair Huxley
The Charismatic Return Of Adair Huxley
Author: Little Goddess
Meeting A Strange Woman

Walking into the hospital in his cheap clothes, Adair didn’t fail to notice the people around him wince in disgust. But he was used to it so he just ignored them.

He quickly walked towards a secluded part of the hospital. Upon seeing a figure curled up there, a deep frown found its way to his face.

Why was his weak sister here instead of the hospital ward he had left her in before going to get food for them.

"Why are you not in the ward? Who put you here?!" He asked, his eyes darkening while he leaned down and took her into his arms.

"The doctor… he brought me here." She said innocently.

Biting back his surging emotions, Adair lifted her up and walked back to the ward when he was stopped by a doctor.

"Oh, it’s you, the street rat. Take your half-dead sister and fuck off! Don’t waste my time.”

Dr. Hayes sneered impatiently and stepped back. He didn’t want dirty children to ruin his new white coat.

“Without money, why waste a bed? Just rot away.” He murmured loudly, with obvious disgust in his eyes.

Adair balled his hands into a fist.

He could tolerate any insult hurled at him but not at Halsey. She is so innocent and young.

But life is never fair!

Holding Halsey carefully in his arms, Adair sighed.

He found a concealed corner and put Halsey down so that she could lie more comfortably.

Ever since their parents died when he was 15, he had worked his butts off for what they'd eat and wear.

Then when he turned 18, it was confirmed that his 11 years old sister had brain cancer.

He had tripled his jobs hoping that he could save her.

He also borrowed loans and used them for the drugs which the hospital recommended to keep Halsey alive.

He had tried everything to get money for surgery… but… it seemed…

"Death isn't that bad, brother."

Halsey suddenly whispered, as if knowing what her brother was thinking.

Adair refused to look at her eyes because the innocence in them made his heart hurt.

Bottling down his emotions, he finally promised, "You're not dying today, Halsey. I'll do whatever it takes to raise the money for the surgery."

Just then, a lady in red walked in.

She had short, tinted, red hair which her pale skin didn't fail to accentuate.

Her suit jacket hung on her broad, skinny shoulders.

The evenly pressed one piece suit also accentuated her figure so much that the men around her couldn't help looking at her, the lust in their eyes obvious.

As she walked across the hallway, the Chanel limited edition bag which she held captured the attention of the ladies.

Soon, her eyes settled on the corner of the hospital where Adair squatted.

"Hey!" She said as she walked closer to him and patted him on the back.

Shocked, Adair turned and asked, "What can I help you with, Miss?"

To his surprise, after gazing at him for a while she suddenly drew him into a hug!

What the …?!

When she finally disengaged from the hug, she held up his left hand and took a good look at the blood coloured ring on his fourth finger.

"I have been searching for you for so many years and you actually turn out to be in such a small city like Crest Ville!"

Amidst the enthusiasm, Adair shook his head and took away his hand from hers. "I … I think you've got the wrong person."

However, the woman laughed and questioned, "Be truthful to me, boy. Do you dream of a bright red moon on the 15th of every month?"

How did she know?!

Adair wondered and reluctantly nodded. "Yeah. but how …"

"Good! I have a lot of things to discuss with you." The woman burst out in unrestrained excitement as she pulled him along.

Adair thought of turning her down but after wondering if he might get a little money from her, he gestured to Halsey and walked out with the woman.

They came outside the hospital and stopped beside an eye-catching red sports car.

"Wow! Just how rich are you?" He mumbled underneath his breath as he was pushed into the car.

The woman smiled carefreely, “very!”

She drove off at full speed and Adair glanced down uncomfortably.

His thoughts couldn't help going to his sister and what he needed to do to get money.

"Who are you and where are you taking me to?" He asked.

"You'll know." She replied happily, patting Adair with one hand. "I'm one of your sisters. So for now, refer to me as sister. You can ask for my help whenever you need it."

He only thought for one second after hearing those words.

"Can you lend me 200 million dollars, then?" He didn't mince words. What if miracles happened?

Just then, the woman stepped on the brake.

"Give me your details."

Adair did as he was told. What harm could there be?

However, a second later, he felt the little phone in his pocket and took it out to see an alert of 30 no, 300 million dollars!

"What?! You sent me 300 million!"

After a moment of brief silence, he swore, "I promise to repay you."

"Hahaha, boy, It's just your pocket money." The woman laughed cheerfully.

Adair didn't doubt her words. For reasons which he couldn't fathom, he seemed to know the total worth of her outfit was worth more than the amount she transferred to him.

With the money for surgery ready, his mind quickly drifted back to his sister and he turned to the woman, "Can you take me back to the hospital?”

“Why? We aren’t done yet." She asked, apparently confused.

"I need to return to the hospital." He said in a rush. "My sister needs to undergo surgery as soon as possible."

"Oh, how could I have forgotten that? Well then, let's hurry up and get your little girl's surgery done. The other sisters are already eager to meet you." She said in a mischievous tone.

Feeling more relaxed now that he had enough money, he turned and asked, "How many sisters are there?”

The latter winked and grinned playfully, "A lot!"
