CHAPTER 6: Shameless woman

Celeste quickly untied the rope around his hands causing his huge body to collapse on her. He was too heavy for her to carry him on her own but, She acted like a strong person and held him close.

Victor quickly rushed towards them and untied the rope tied to his legs. He took one of his arms and put it on his shoulders while Celeste did the same.

Everyone was just looking at them in awe. They were about to take him inside the house when the guards blocked their paths.

Get out of my way Celeste barked in anger.

“You didn't even ask about what he did!?” “Are you nuts!?” Bridget shouted in anger.

“Am I in a position to ask!?” You tied him to this huge pillar and flogged him with a rod. And you expect me to question you for what he did. Should I?? Will you answer that If I do?? Celeste barked back in anger. She let Vincent lean on Victor while she turned back to face Bridget with her full chest.

“Did you know this fool tried to rape your mother!! You still come here to save him with your full chest. Someone we ought to have killed”. Edward yelled, sending shivers down everyone’s spine. It was evident he was angry but Celeste is not baffled by it. After all, she knew the kind of person Bridget was.

“Ha..ha..ha.” Celeste laughed loudly… Did you say rape? Vincent tried that… She laughed again. “If this was done to someone else I’d believe it!” But not you mom, Vincent can never have done that to you am sure you fabricated everything Celeste declared boldly.

“Paaaaa” A hot and loud slap landed on Celeste's face and all her cheeks turned red at once.

“How dare you say that to your mother because of a wretched bastard like him!” You fool Bridget shouted her voice rising with indignation.

“Hit me!”, “Slap me!” “kill me!” that will never change the truth about the whole matter. You knew fully in your mind that all this was a false accusation. Celeste barked, still not pained by the slap.

“You are insane!” Bridget hissed in annoyance as she walked past her and stumbled inside, and then she heard something that made her stop in her tracks.

“Can you swear on my life that he actually touched you!?” Victor finally talked leaving everyone perplexed.

He was a spoilt brat who only teased Celeste and lazed all around the house, He couldn't even dare to talk in front of their old man because he was terrified of him. But now he did, And he wasn't even afraid of it.

“What did you say!?” Bridget asked calmly, trying to process his words in her head.

Mom!!! You can lie to everyone but not me, Am not a kid anymore and I know perfectly what everyone is capable of in this house. You called him to your room and dismissed all the maids. Meaning you have a huge advantage of doing just anything to him. Even if he is more powerful he wouldn’t want to try it knowing fully that all the maids are out.

Even a ten-year-old will behave himself at that moment. “”But he didn't, because he was insane right!?” Then why did he save my sister when he could easily let her die or give her out to some rich men and take a huge amount of money!?, Then why did he refuse to get married to her and act like a fool because he wants to be obedient? It's all evident he has the lower hand. Just admit it already he has suffered enough.

With that he walked past her still holding Vincent tightly, Celeste quickly joined in and together they helped him upstairs.

Bridget watched them till they were out of sight; she couldn't even reply to him or answer all his questions; she couldn’t even believe in her wildest imagination that Victor would actually say all that.

A smile of satisfaction settled on Mason’s lips; he was happy that his grandchildren weren’t like his sons and they didn't even tolerate injustice.

“Am highly disappointed in you the most, Bridget!” He spat before walking away

Benjamin also hissed in anger and left with his daughter who was giggling happily about the whole situation.

Edward raised his hands and dismissed all the guards leaving only the two of them to talk.

“You are shameless Bridget!” How can you stoop so low to that level? I know we all hated him but what now!? That boy almost died today because of your stupid trick. You are such a shameless woman Bridget. He shouted in rage, his voice laced with contempt.

Edward! “Am sorry” She replied curtly.

Don't even think of calling my name with that stinky mouth of yours. He yelled before walking away.

Bridget bites her lips in anguish, She thought of destroying Vincent's life but she lost her guilt instead.

Victor and Celeste dropped Vincent on the bed and Victor helped him to clean the blood while Celeste rushed out to call the doctor.

Vincent Couldn’t even say a word as he was already losing consciousness while he slowly drifted to sleep.

“Am sorry!” My sister destroyed your life because of her carelessness and my mother put you in this position because of her hatred of you. Victor apologized with a pout.

Vincent only nodded with a smile as Celeste rushed back inside with the doctor.

She excused herself as the doctor tended to him while Victor helped in changing his clothes. When the doctor was finally done he gave some prescriptions to Celeste and told her other things that needed to be done before leaving. She also told Victor to go back and rest while she takes care of Vincent. Victor nodded in understanding before leaving with a smile.

Celeste entered the room and saw Vincent shivering and calling someone’s name. She leaned in closer and heard him saying.

“Mrs Beatrice!” “Mrs Beatrice!” he called out.

“Turns out he was a lover boy” Celeste Sneered but then a huge hand circled her waist and pulled her into Vincent's embrace.
