The sleek convoy glided through towering iron gates forged with intricate golden dragon crests. Beyond the gates lay a sprawling private estate that looked more like a royal fortress than a residential property.

Endless manicured lawns, marble fountains, and private security checkpoints swept past the Maybach's tinted windows.

When the car finally rolled to a smooth stop at the grand portico of the main Benson Manor, the front doors swung wide open.

Standing in a regal line along the marble steps were dozens of house staff and uniformed guards.

At the very center stood an imposing old man with snow-white hair, leaning lightly on a carved wooden staff. His face bore the weathered lines of absolute power, but his dark eyes were bright with unshed tears.

It was Patriarch Wynn Benson—the undisputed titan who built the global Benson Group into an untouchable corporate empire.

The moment Zade stepped out of the Maybach, cradling baby Jemima securely against his chest, the entire courtyard fell into a breathless silence.

Patriarch Wynn took a trembling step forward. His sharp, legendary composure melted away instantly as his eyes locked onto Zade’s face.

The resemblance to Zade’s late father was unmistakable—the same piercing gaze, the same sharp jawline, the same noble posture.

"My boy..." Wynn gasped, his voice cracking with twenty-five years of buried grief. "My grandson..."

The old titan reached out with shaking hands, but Zade instinctively took a half-step back, his arm tightening around the tiny bundle. He didn't drop his guard.

After dying from bitter betrayal in his previous life, Zade wasn't about to blindly trust a room full of strangers just because they drove expensive cars and claimed to be his blood.

"Stay back," Zade warned, his voice low, sharp, and razor-focused.

"I don't care who you are or what empire you own. My daughter is barely a few hours old. She’s been out in the cold air, she hasn't fed properly, and she needs a sterile room and a doctor immediately."

Patriarch Wynn froze, but instead of taking offense at Zade's guarded tone, a look of profound relief and respect washed over the old man's face.

"You're right," Wynn said, his voice soft with emotion. "Forgive me, my boy. Your child comes first." He turned sharply to Elder Thomas. "Where is the medical team?!"

"Already waiting in the east wing nursery, Supreme Patriarch!" Thomas answered instantly, making a swift hand gesture.

Two senior pediatric nurses dressed in crisp white uniforms immediately stepped out from the grand doors, pushing a high-tech, temperature-controlled infant bassinet equipped with state-of-the-art monitoring gear.

Zade didn't let the nurses carry Jemima away. Instead, he personally walked alongside them into the estate, keeping his eyes glued to his daughter as they led him into a private medical suite.

The room was immaculate, sterile, and fully outfitted with top-tier neonatology equipment.

For the next twenty minutes, Zade watched like a hawk as a top pediatric doctor gently examined Jemima, checked her oxygen levels, measured her heart rate, and prepared a warm, specialized infant formula.

Only when the monitor showed a steady, perfect heartbeat and Jemima began softly suckling from her bottle did Zade finally let out a long, ragged breath. The tight knot of panic in his chest slowly began to loosen.

A quiet sound made him turn his head.

Patriarch Wynn was standing in the doorway, watching silently from a respectful distance so as not to intrude.

The powerful titan looked fragile in that moment, his eyes filled with immense warmth as he gazed at Zade and the baby.

"She is beautiful, Zade," Wynn whispered gently, stepping into the room with slow, quiet strides. "She has your eyes."

Zade looked down at the tiny baby, then back at the old man who had spent twenty-five years searching for him.

Seeing the raw, unscripted sorrow and sincerity in Wynn's eyes, Zade felt the icy wall around his heart begin to thaw. This wasn't Binta's toxic household. This was a man who genuinely cared.

"She carries a rare genetic trait," Zade said softly, his tone dropping its sharp edge.

"Sickle cell. In my... I mean, I know how dangerous it can be if it isn't monitored properly from day one."

Wynn walked up beside Zade, looking down at his great-granddaughter with absolute tenderness. He placed a warm, heavy hand on Zade's shoulder.

"Then hear my pledge, my boy," Wynn said, his voice dropping into a solemn, unshakeable promise.

"The Benson family has billions at its disposal. Starting today, the finest hematologists and pediatric researchers in the world will be placed on exclusive retainer for this child. A permanent, 24-hour medical team will live on these grounds. If she so much as sneezes, an entire hospital wing will be at her disposal."

Wynn looked into Zade's eyes, his expression deeply earnest.

"You have been alone for almost twenty years, Zade. You suffered while we searched in vain. But as long as I draw breath, no one will ever neglect you or your daughter again. You are my flesh and blood."

Zade stared at the old man. The sincerity in Wynn's voice was undeniable. For the first time in two lifetimes, Zade felt the protective shield of a real family standing behind him.

A quiet, genuine breath escaped Zade's lips.

"...Thank you, Grandfather," Zade said quietly.

Wynn's eyes welled with tears at the word, a brilliant, proud smile breaking across his weathered face.

He gave Zade's shoulder a firm, affectionate squeeze.

"Rest now, Zade," Wynn said warmly, looking down at baby Jemima, who had peacefully fallen asleep in her warm crib.

"Get some food, stay by your daughter's side, and regain your strength. Tomorrow, the world will learn that the true heir of the Benson Group has finally returned."

Zade pulled a comfortable chair beside Jemima's crib and sat down, resting his hand gently over her tiny blanket.

As the old patriarch quietly backed out of the room to let them rest, Zade looked out the window at the setting sun.

He was no longer a penniless husband trapped in a nightmare.

He was safe, his daughter was protected, and he possessed the power of an empire.

The reckoning for Binta and her mother had officially begun.

The grand ballroom of the Carlton Hotel glittered like a jewel box under the weight of three thousand Czech crystal pendants. String quartet music drifted softly through the vaulted ceiling, mingling with the refined hum of high-society laughter and the expensive scent of French perfume and vintage champagne. It was the annual charity gala hosted by Lady Cynthia—a woman whose social endorsement was the ultimate currency among the city’s ultra-elite. The rain had long stopped, leaving the night sky over the Benson estate clear, cold, and obsidian black. Inside Zade’s private study, the ambient lights were dimmed to a soft blue glow, cast almost entirely by the multi-screen terminal station set up in the corner. A silent knock tapped against the door frame before Edward stepped into the room. He moved with the quiet efficiency of a shadow, carrying a thick, red-stamped leather binder in his left hand. "Mr. Benson," Edward spoke, his voice crisp and low. "The forensic banking audit is complete. I have the updated intelligence dossier regarding the 1999 vehicular accident." Zade turned his executive chair away from the window, his dark eyes instantly locking onto the file. "Show me." Edward placed the heavy binder flat on the mahogany desk, opening it to a dense, color-coded flow chart mapping a series of complex international banking transactions. He tapped a key on his tablet, synchronizing the physical document with the

The soft, warm morning light filtered through the sheer curtains of the private nursery in the east wing of Benson Manor, casting gentle shadows across the minimalist, sterile-grade interior. Dr. Rena Kennedy stood beside the mobile diagnostic station, her fingers deftly sliding across the glass tablet as she reviewed baby Jemima’s morning biometric feed. The green lines of data pulsed steadily, indicating optimal cellular oxygenation, perfect heart rate variance, and a thriving weight curve. A quiet, soft coo drew her attention away from the screen. Sitting in the comfortable armchair by the window was Zade. He held Jemima cradled carefully against his shoulder, gently supporting her small head with one hand while using his free hand to adjust a soft cotton blanket around her waist. Rena watched them for a quiet moment, a subtle, appreciative smile touching her lips. "Her vital signs are

Heavy mahogany tables, gleaming under crystal chandeliers, were surrounded by the most influential figures of the conglomerate—board elders, major institutional shareholders, and senior executives whose decisions moved international markets. At the head of the long table sat Patriarch Wynn Benson. Though aged, his dark eyes burned with a sharp, vibrant clarity that hadn't been seen in years. "Members of the board," Patriarch Wynn began, his voice echoing with profound pride through the silent room. "We gathered today for the preliminary review of our third-quarter subsidiary performances. I hold in my hand the verified audit report for Dove Logistics." A quiet ripple of hushed whispers passed through the seated board elders. Just weeks ago, Dove Logistics had been universally regard

"You're amazing, Pascal," Binta whispered, smiling through her tears. "I don't know what I would do without you." "You'll never have to find out," Pascal replied smoothly, flashing a dazzling, charming smile. He stayed for another twenty minutes, offering gentle words of encouragement, refilling their glasses with water, and playing the role of the devoted, supportive fiancé. He stayed just long enough to calm their panic, soothe their frayed nerves, and convince them that they were entirely safe under his protective wing. Then, checking his luxury gold watch with a polite apology, Pascal claimed an urgent board meetin
