The Origin Chamber

The blue light was coming from a crack in the middle of the castle yard. The crack was small at first like a finger width but as Kael put his hand close it became bigger. The blue light was wrapping around his fingers like it knew him. It was warm and cold at the same time.

Borne pulled his sword out fast and stood in front of Kael. He said my sovereign be careful. This could be a trap. The first emperor was known for traps.

Joren also stood close with his new strength. His hands were making fists. He said I will go first my sovereign.

Kael shook his head. He said no. It is calling me. It knows my blood.

He put his whole palm on the crack. As soon as he did the whole castle yard shook. Dust fell from the broken walls. The crack opened wider with a loud sound like stone breaking. The blue light became very bright and shot up to the sky. From far away in the village the people could see the blue light and they were scared.

The ground under Kael feet moved. The stones shifted and formed stairs going down. The stairs were old and covered with dust but they were still strong. They went deep into darkness under the castle. The blue light was coming from down there.

Kael stood up. He said we go down.

Borne lit a torch with old cloth. He said I will lead the way my sovereign. He went first with the torch. Kael followed second. Joren followed last.

The stairs were many. They walked down for about hundred steps. The air became cold. The walls were covered with old drawings. The drawings showed a man fighting many monsters. The man had same gold ring in his eyes like Kael.

Borne whispered that is the first emperor. His name was Kael also. Like you my sovereign.

Kael stopped. His name was Kael too. That was interesting. His father never told him that.

After more steps they reached a big round door. The door was made of black stone and it had no handle. In the middle of the door there was a hand print. The hand print was glowing blue.

Above the door there were words written in old language. Borne could not read it but Kael could. Since his seal broke he could understand old languages.

The words said only my blood can enter. Only a sovereign can inherit.

Kael understood. He put his hand on the hand print. The door was cold at first then it became warm.

A voice spoke inside his head. The voice was same old voice like before but deeper.

It said blood confirmed. Royal blood of the first sovereign. Second awakening requirement met. Open.

The black stone door shook and slowly opened with heavy sound. Blue light poured out from inside. It was so bright that Borne and Joren had to cover their eyes.

Kael walked inside. The room inside was big and round. It was not like a normal basement. It was like a temple. The walls were full of floating blue crystals that gave light. In the middle of the room there was a stone chair. The chair was big like a throne but simple. On the throne sat a skeleton. The skeleton was wearing a simple crown and old armor. Even though it was skeleton it still had power. The gold ring light was still faint in its empty eye sockets.

Around the skeleton there were twelve stone statues kneeling. Each statue was different. One had big sword. One had magic staff. One had bow. They were all kneeling to the skeleton like servants.

Borne knelt down immediately when he saw the skeleton. He said that is the first emperor. I can feel it. My knees want to kneel by themselves.

Joren also knelt. He could not stand.

Only Kael could stand. He walked slowly to the throne. As he walked closer the blue crystals floated brighter.

When he reached the throne the skeleton head lifted small. It looked at him. A voice came from the skeleton but it was not scary. It was kind like a grandfather.

The voice said finally you have come. I have waited two hundred years for another sovereign to be born. I thought my line had died.

Kael said who are you.

The skeleton said I am Kaelen the first. The first primordial sovereign. Like you. The empire calls us f rank servant but we are not servant. We are the master of all classes. All other classes come from us. S rank, A rank, B rank all are broken pieces of our power.

Kael heart beat fast. So that was true. Servant class was not weak. It was the origin.

Kaelen continued my time is short. I have only small soul left. I will give you what I left for you. But first you must prove you are worthy. My twelve servants will test you. If you fail you will die here.

As soon as he said that the twelve stone statues eyes lit up with blue light. They stood up one by one. Their stone bodies cracked and they became alive. They were tall like giants. Their power was very high. Borne could feel it from far. Each one was at least s rank.

Borne shouted my sovereign be careful those are s rank guardians.

The first statue with big sword stepped forward. It swung its big sword down at Kael. The sword was fast and heavy. It could break a house.

Kael did not dodge. He looked at the sword coming and he said stop.

He used absolute dominion. The word stop had power. The big stone sword stopped one inch from his head. The stone guardian froze.

Kael said kneel.

Boom. The s rank stone guardian could not resist. It fell to its knees with loud sound. Its sword fell to ground.

The skeleton on the throne laughed. The laugh was happy. It said good. Very good. You understand your class quickly. But can you command all twelve at once.

The remaining eleven statues came together. They raised their weapons. They were going to attack at once. Eleven s rank at once could kill a whole army.

Kael took a deep breath. He felt his infinite mana inside. One percent was not enough to command eleven s rank at same time. He needed more.

He closed his eyes and spoke inside his soul. He said I need more power. Unseal more.

The voice inside him said request accepted. Second seal broken. Ten percent mana unlocked. Warning body will feel pain.

Pain hit Kael like fire. His whole body burned. He screamed but he did not fall. His gold ring became much brighter. It was now like a sun in his eyes.

He opened his eyes and looked at the eleven giants and said with voice that echoed in the whole chamber.

I said kneel.

This time the word was not whisper. It was a king order.

Boom boom boom.

All eleven stone giants fell to their knees at same time. The ground of the chamber cracked under their weight. They put their heads down. They submitted.

Silence came back.

The skeleton of Kaelen the first clapped slowly. He said perfect. You are stronger than I was at your age. You are worthy.

He stood up slowly from his throne. His bones were shaking. He walked to Kael and put his bony hand on Kael head.

He said I give you my inheritance. My knowledge. My second skill. And my throne. Take them and rebuild what I started. Make the world remember what a sovereign is.

A huge flood of blue light entered Kael head. Kael saw many memories. He saw battles against dragons. He saw how the first emperor made the empire from small village. He saw how his own family betrayed the first emperor and sealed his bloodline making them become weak f rank servant. So that was why the empire hated servant class. They were scared.

Then new words appeared in front of Kael eyes.

Second skill unlocked: servant creation unlimited.

The skeleton smiled and then turned to dust. The dust floated and entered the throne. The throne now became clean and waited for Kael.

Borne and Joren ran to Kael. Borne said my sovereign are you alright. Your nose is bleeding.

Kael wiped blood from his nose. The ten percent mana was too much for his young body. He felt dizzy but he was happy. He had gotten strong power.

He walked to the throne and sat down slowly.

As soon as he sat the whole castle shook. Outside the villagers saw the ruined castle on the hill start to repair itself. Broken walls stood up again. Fallen towers rose. Blue light covered the whole castle. The castle was coming back to life.

In the village people shouted with joy. They said the castle is alive again.

Inside the chamber the twelve stone guardians knelt around Kael new throne. They said in stone voice we await your command new sovereign.

Kael looked at them. He had now an army of twelve s rank stone guardians. Plus Borne and Joren. Plus a growing kingdom. Plus infinite mana with ten percent unlocked.

He sat on his throne and said first order rebuild the walls of Ashenfall. Make this place a real kingdom.

The guardians said yes my

sovereign.

Quest completed enter the origin chamber.

Reward castle heart obtained. Territory expanded.
