With confident steps, Maverick was off from the regular room. Around three minutes later, he reached the cashier's counter. At the place, there was a woman in a navy blue shirt, with her pony tail haistyle, standing behind the cash register. She noticed Maverick and smiled warmly.

"How can I help you, sir?" The cashier staff greeted in a friendly way.

"I would like to pay for the medical treatment bills I had," Maverick stated while taking out his phone and getting ready with the payment application.

"All right, sir. Let me sort out the details first." The cashier stated. She began to take a few documents related to the patients' entrance on that day. Her grey eyes meticulously scanned a document where Maverick's identity was typed.

Once it was settled, the cashier announced, "The total of the treatments along with administration are two thousand five hundred dollars."

"Okay. Can I pay through the banking app?" Maverick made sure that the payment method he got was allowed.

The cashier staff beamed a bit. "Sure," she said shortly.

At that moment, Maverick scanned the barcode provided by the staff with his cell phone. "TING." The noise from the cash register was heard, showing that the payment was successful. It even came with the receipt.

"Here is the receipt, sir." The staff handed in the tiny paper with the finished payment details.

Maverick received the small paper and thanked her. Then, he dismissed himself from the hospital with some bandages on particular body parts which were his hands and around his forehead.

As he stood a bit farther from the entrance, he flagged a taxi right away. Landing his ass on the passenger back seat, he got a sudden notification panel from the system in his head.

[NEW MISSION DETECTED! Save an old woman from thugs. Prizes you will get: 15 Extra Points, USD 100.000, 1 skill card.]

At that point, he tried not to panic. He knew it was his first time dealing with the system mission, but he wanted to set the right strategy. Therefore, he must return to his uncle's house, so he told the driver, "Could you please take me to Evergreen Road?"

"Okay, sir." The driver replied shortly. He then pulled out the car, passing through the crowd of the streets. That afternoon, the streets near the city centre were also pretty noisy due to a large number of pedestrians that included domestic and foreign tourists.

By the way, Maverick stared at the bright blue sky behind the window. Suddenly, he remembered the mission. He then wondered about how to finish the detected mission, "Should I find an old woman dealing with thugs myself? It will be insane for me to do it, only to get a hundred thousand dollars."

[No need to worry or confuse yourself, Master. The old woman is near your uncle's home. Later, you will notice it.]

The statements he heard made Maverick inhale at ease. He rested his head on the headboard. He tugged a little smile and said in his mind, "Right. I'll make sure to get the first mission done. It doesn't matter if my wounds will be worsened afterwards."

A few minutes later, Maverick got out of the taxi after paying for the fare. He gently observed surrounding, trying to capture if a dangerous situation occurred. He even walked past his front neighbors. Yet, it was peaceful enough. A few passersby were strolling around.

"It seems the old woman is not here," Maverick murmured. "Maybe, she is somewhere else around," He concluded.

By the time, he decided to get into the house. While his feet were about to step in, he heard a loud cry near his house, "HELPP! SOMEBODY HELP ME!!"

Maverick immediately stood still. He delayed his plan and resolved to find out where the owner of the voice was. He strolled over as his eyes looked at the certain tunnels, from house to house. After a minute, he stopped his steps when he witnessed two thugs threatening an old woman who was around seventy years old.

"HEY! COULD YOU STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING??" Maverick rebuked bravely. He aimed the death glares at the thugs.

In a second, the thugs turned to him with their mean expressions. One of them inhaled shortly and sighed, "Do we have a beef with you, kid? This is adults' business. You should never mess with us!"

"No matter what kind of business you have. I ask you to release the old woman now!" Maverick stepped closer as he dared them.

"Oh, what a foolish young man," Another thug sneered at him. He even threw out his cigarette and stepped on it harshly. "Trying to be a sudden hero, huh?"

Maverick stared at them madly. He clenched his fists, getting ready to fight with the thugs. In less than a minute, the thugs attacked him in turns. That moment was his first time having a little trouble with criminals.

"DUK! DUK! PAGG!" The noise of fist-fighting was shouted to the surrounding. It came with a few scenes where Logan tries to avoid the attacks many times. Sometimes, he hit or kicked the thugs menacingly.

Once the thugs were weakened and collapsed on the ground, Maverick was ready to shoot the last kick, yet one of them pleaded, "That's enough. We won't disturb the woman anymore. We'll go."

The moment the declaration was uttered, the thugs fled from him and the old woman. Then, Maverick walked towards her and queried, "Are you okay, ma'am?"

"Um, I'm okay, young man. Anyway, thank you for helping me from the thugs." The old woman felt relieved as she thanked him. She even started to take a small amount of money from her purse.

"You're welcome, ma'am. Fortunately, I was about to get into the house, but I heard you scream," Maverick replied politely. He noticed that she handed him a few dollars to him.

"Here is the reward for the help. I really don't know how my fate would be if you were not around." The old woman continued. The amount of money in her right hand was waiting to be accepted.

Feeling like he was a sudden hero at that moment, Maverick smiled while staring at the money in her hand. He really needed a sum of money for his living, but he had no intention of being rewarded after helping someone in need.

Therefore, he refused gently, "Thank you for the reward, ma'am, but I really want to help you. There is no need to return my favor."

"Seriously? I don't mind sharing some of this money with you. Just take it." The old woman was surprised. She barely met youngsters who were willing to lend their hands without something in return.

At that point, Maverick received a notification from Extravagant System,

Raphael, acknowledging the words uttered, felt lighter in his heart. However, he looked unsure if Maverick would apologize his son easily. As he trembled, he queried in doubt, "Is this serious? I'm afraid you just prank me since Aiden has bullied too much, Mr. Parker." "I don't really mind it, for real. You can go now, Mr. Scotch. I believe both of us are chased by duties, aren't we?" Maverick mentioned. At the same time, he reminded the old man about his duty as an important person in his company. Listening to the reminder, Raphael finally stood on his feet. Though the tense in his face dominated, he sighed in relief. However, as he permitted himself to leave, his initiative to push Aiden for fixing the mess up didn't fade. In his mind, he had set up a plan to force his son to do his order no matter how stubborn he would refuse. Sitting on the passenger seat at the back, Raphael clenched his jaw. His grey orbs were aimed to the city view he passed with the car driven by Axel,

  • Getting double paid

Maverick, blinking for a few seconds, decided to obey Pelelope's request. He gripped back her hand, showing off to people that the model was his date at that night. He acted as if he had dated Penelope for years, especially when Davin walked towards them to greet Penelope. "Hi, Pennie. How is it going?" The man in dark brown crisp shirt greeted the model warmly. There was a hint of curiosity while he stared at Maverick standing next to Penelope. "Hello, Davin. I'm good," Penelope replied. She gently cling to Maverick, viewing a string of intimacy accidentally in front of the male model who actually was into her. Thus intimate scenery certainly boiled Davin's blood though he looked chilled out. Davin, softly rubbing his soft beard on the chin, tugged a tiny smile on his face. • Picking up Penelope

Hitting the road with his limited edition Rolls-Royce Spectre, Maverick confidently pulled out to the street. He also lit up his mood by turning on some trending songs through the head unit. At that time, when he was waiting under the traffic lights, the song, on the automatic playlist, was sung by Justin Munchiez with title Not Your Special Friend. Through the pop song's lyrics, Maverick felt like looking at his own situation with his love interests. As a nerd who barely got closer to women, he had no ideas how to express his feelings to them. All he could do was admiring them from afar, just like what he had done to Ella. "I know, it's a waste, but I like you.." One of the lyrics was repeated, and it made Maverick sighed. His orbs immediately noticed the green light's emergence of the traffic light. He gently moved the transmission to the driving mode. Going straight in steady speed, Maverick kept his eyes on the direction given by the GPS. In less than twenty minutes, the
