“PAG! PAG! BUG!” The noise of hitting was screaming all over the backyard. Maverick, with his bleeding and wounded face, murmured, “P-please, stop.”

“How dare you say that, huh??” Dean snorted as he aimed another punch at his face.

“BUKKH!” The punch hit Maverick’s nose so hard that it was bleeding even more. Yet, he remained to endure the pain in his entire body as he tried to apologize for another time.

However, he felt choked. Continuous attacks aimed by Aiden, Cooper, and Dean caused it. In a few minutes, they pushed Maverick to the ground.

Aiden stared at him and snorted, “Hopefully, those attacks are enough to make you learn about a manner of not sitting on our seats ever again!”

“Filthy loser!” Dean sneered. He tugged a nasty smile at Maverick, who was about to lose his consciousness. As the bullies walked away, Maverick tried to get up, yet his body was too weak.

Consequently, his consciousness was gone, leaving him alone on the ground, mercilessly. The pitiful view of him distracted a few students walking around the backyard. Soon, they took him to the nearest hospital.

The doctor moved Maverick to the regular room after he received particular medical treatment, which took about an hour and a half. At that point, as he attempted to open his eyes, a strange noise in his head was heard.

“Wh-what is this?” Maverick murmured to himself. He tried to gain consciousness as soon as he could, but a sharp pain in his head hit slightly harder.

In less than a few seconds, Maverick fully endured the remaining pain. Yet, he could not believe the words mentioned. To him, getting a system that would grant wishes was unreal. It was like a dream coming from a comic book.

“This is too good to be true,” Maverick commented to himself.

Then, the system panel gave persuasion on how his life would totally change, in sum,

[Listen, Master. I’m The Extravagant System, willing to serve. By accepting me to serve you, you will gain several benefits. However, you can obtain them by doing the missions I give. You’ll never know if you don’t try.]

Maverick sighed for a while. Carefully, he observed the meaning of each sentence mentioned. At that point, he agreed with the last statement. “Well, this system is logical. Maybe I should be braver this time. Let’s consider this as all or nothing,” he pondered.

“All right. I’m willing to install the Extravagant System in my life.” He stated confidently in his head. By saying those words, the light blue transparent panel appeared before his eyes. Magically, only Maverick could see it.

Maverick perfectly installed the system, then blinked and stared at the transparent panel appearing in his sight. “This is like real, but can it be?” He still tried to accept the reality he faced.

After that, the panel displayed accurate information about Maverick. It really astonished him because Maverick was quite private about his life. Even he had most of his social media accounts locked or on private mode. He did it so that drama or unimportant gossip would not ruin his peacefulness.

At the same moment, a nurse entered the room and informed, “Based on the doctor’s observation, you can already go home, sir.”

“Gosh, where does this kind amount of money come from?! Is someone out there mistakenly transferred his or her money to my account?” Maverick wondered as he squinted. He could not believe his eyes, for real.

At the critical, intense moment, the system panel appeared in his sight, informing him of the amount of money.

[That amount of money is a welcome present from me. Use it for good, Master Maverick. You don’t have to worry, it is genuinely for you. You will receive more once you have done the missions given.]

The sudden announcement left him at peace. He can breathe freely without being ashamed in front of the nurse and the cashier staff out there.
