Lucas looked down at the fifty million dollar loan application on his large wooden desk. He held the heavy red stamp in his right hand. He did not press the stamp down on the paper just yet.

Dropping the stamp now would destroy Julian's company in an instant, but Lucas knew that quick destruction was too easy. He wanted Julian and the Vance family to fall from the very top.

"Hold this file for now, Thomas," Lucas said, his voice smooth and cold. "Let Julian celebrate a little longer. The higher he climbs, the harder he will hit the ground when he falls."

Thomas bowed his head with deep respect. "Understood, Young Master. By the way, your financial team just finished purchasing the Royal Crown Club through our private investment company. You are now the sole owner of the most exclusive club in the city."

Lucas leaned back in his leather chair and looked out the big glass window. "The Royal Crown Club? Isn't that where Chloe said she was going tonight?"

"Yes, Young Master," Thomas replied with a small smile. "Julian Sterling booked a table there to celebrate their engagement."

Lucas smiled, his eyes cold. "Get my car ready. I want to see how rich Julian feels tonight."

Across the city, bright neon lights lit up the entrance of the Royal Crown Club. The building looked like a giant palace made of gold and glass. Expensive sports cars were lined up outside, and rich people dressed in fine clothes walked through the grand entrance.

A glossy black car pulled up to the front, and Julian stepped out. He wore a brand new velvet jacket and a shiny gold watch. He walked around to open the door for Chloe, who wore a shimmering blue dress. Beatrice stepped out right behind them, holding her purse high and looking around with an arrogant grin.

"Look at this place," Beatrice said loudly, making sure the people nearby could hear her. "Only the top people in the city can step foot in the Royal Crown Club. Chloe, my dear, you are finally living like royalty!"

Chloe smiled, feeling proud as she held Julian's arm. "Julian, can we really get into the Diamond Suite upstairs? I heard only billionaires are allowed in that room."

Julian puffed out his chest and raised his chin high. "Of course we can, my love! I have a Gold VIP card here. The managers here know my name very well. Tonight, we will drink the most expensive wine in the Diamond Suite!"

They walked through the heavy glass doors into the main lobby. High crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling, throwing warm light onto marble floors. Many rich socialites and business rivals were standing around, talking and drinking.

When the crowd saw Julian and Chloe, a few young men from rival families began to whisper and point. Julian loved the attention. He walked straight up to the main reception desk where the General Manager stood checking the guest list.

The General Manager was an elderly man named Mr. Vance, who was known for his strict rules and zero tolerance for misbehavior.

Julian slapped his shiny Gold VIP card onto the marble counter with a loud sound. "Good evening, Manager. I am Julian Sterling from Sterling Enterprises. I am here to claim the Diamond Suite for my engagement party tonight."

Mr. Vance looked at the gold card on the counter. Then he looked up at Julian, Beatrice, and Chloe. His face did not show any excitement or respect.

"Good evening, Mr. Sterling," Manager Vance said in a flat tone. "The Diamond Suite is reserved for absolute high-ranking VIP guests only."

Julian frowned, feeling a little annoyed that the manager was not bowing to him. "Did you not hear my name? I am Julian Sterling! My family business is getting a fifty million dollar loan from Grand Dragon Bank tomorrow! I am bringing my new family here to celebrate. Give us the keys to the Diamond Suite now!"

Beatrice stepped forward, tapping her long nails on the counter. "Yes, hurry up! Do you know who my daughter is? She just divorced a useless loser and joined the Sterling family! Show us some respect and open the best room!"

A few rich guests nearby stopped talking and turned to watch the scene. Some of them began to giggle at Beatrice's loud voice.

Manager Vance picked up the gold card slowly. He did not swipe it. Instead, he looked at his computer screen. Just a minute ago, a system alert had popped up on his screen from the new owner of the club.

The message was clear: REVOKE ALL PRIVILEGES FOR JULIAN STERLING IMMEDIATELY.

Manager Vance looked up at Julian with eyes as cold as stone. "I am sorry, Mr. Sterling, but you cannot use the Diamond Suite tonight."

Julian's face turned red with anger. "What did you just say? Are you blind? I hold a Gold VIP membership!"

"Not anymore," Manager Vance said calmly. He picked up a pair of metal scissors from his drawer.

Before anyone could react, Manager Vance snip-snapped the shiny gold card right in half. He dropped the broken pieces of plastic into the trash bin under the desk.

Gasps of shock echoed through the lobby. The surrounding crowd gasped loudly, taking out their phones to record what was happening.

Chloe stared in absolute shock. "Julian! What is happening?"

Julian was shaking with rage. He slammed his fist onto the marble desk. "Are you insane? How dare you break my card? Do you know how much money I spent to get that card?"

Manager Vance remained completely unbothered. "Mr. Sterling, the management has reviewed your file. Your membership has been canceled on the spot due to insufficient character and bad behavior. You no longer meet the standards of the Royal Crown Club."

"Insufficient character?" Beatrice screamed like a crazy woman. "My son-in-law is a billionaire! How dare you insult him like this!"

"Security," Manager Vance called out calmly, ignoring Beatrice's screams.

Four huge, muscular security guards in dark suits stepped out from the side doors. They surrounded Julian, Chloe, and Beatrice instantly.

"Please escort these people out to the public street," Manager Vance ordered. "They are no longer allowed inside this establishment."

The security guards grabbed Julian by his shoulders and pushed him toward the exit. Another guard grabbed Beatrice by her arm, dragging her along.

"Let go of me!" Julian screamed, struggling against the guards' strong hands. "I will buy this stupid club and fire all of you! Do you hear me? I will fire you!"

Chloe covered her face with her hands, burning with shame as their business rivals took photos and laughed out loud at their embarrassment.

The guards threw Julian, Chloe, and Beatrice out the front doors. Julian fell onto his knees on the hard stone pavement outside, his velvet jacket getting dirty.

The surrounding crowd on the street laughed at the sight of the rich young heir thrown out like garbage.

Julian scrambled back to his feet, his eyes bloodshot with pure rage. He pounded his fists against the glass doors. "Who owns this place? Call the owner right now! I demand to see the owner! I will destroy this club!"

Suddenly, the heavy glass doors unlocked with a beep. The crowd went silent as the private VIP elevator inside the lobby dinged softly.

The sleek silver doors of the elevator opened.

Ten tall executive guards stepped out first, forming a neat line. And right in the middle of them walked a man wearing a sharp suit and a cold, powerful smile.

It was Lucas.
