"General, the Eastside heiress wishes to congratulate you on your Victory and peace-making with this Jade gift worth ten million dollars."

"Here's an instant healer from the King of Battles to congratulate you on your Victory!"

All the expensive gifts were laid off with just a wave of his hands, not sparing them a glance.

"Gather all the Generals under me at the lobby!" His words rolled with waves of authority at his assistant.

Soon, the hall was packed filled with stern-looking soldiers, their heads bowed before the one true God of war.

"There's no need for the formalities. This would be my last day serving as the God of war!" His announcement brought electric thrills running down spines.

"It's time that I return the favor that I have left pending for five years."

Seven years ago, Mazzel the Great God of War was an aristocrat and heir of the Rendell family, and most crowd would do anything to rub shoulders with him.

But everything changed after the death of his mother and his father Got married to a witch.

After his father's death and the property was shared, Mazzle's company rose in fame while his half and step siblings mis managed their assets gradually breaking towards bankruptcy.

While Mazzle would help them in whatever way that he could, they wanted more than just his money, they wanted everything.

And while he was preparing for his wedding with his first love, he was kidnapped on his wedding night and sent off the deadliest island in the world to have a painful death.

However, he was rescued by a general at the brink of death. He learned that all his properties had been taken away, his signatures forged and fingerprints stolen, making it look liked he had run away, abandoning his wife and their unborn baby and giving everything up to the Sinclairs.

With nothing to return with, he enrolled in the military as per the request of his savoir. Training over the years endlessly and rising to the position of God of war.

Even with those seveb years of service. The scar never truly left his heart. Their betrayal, they needed to pay for it and more importantly, he needed to see the face of his long-lost wife, Kira. And he also had one more mission, to restore to name of the military in the corruption infested Eastside.

Everyone crashed to their feet in reverence. "Wherever you go, we will also!" Their announcement rocked the foundations of the building.

However, Mazzel's indifferent expression didn't bulge.

"This is my burden to bear and my ear to fight."

"Hart!" He mused, making a turn to the God of battle who quickly bowed.

"You're in charge now while I'm away. Tend to the estate and make sure everyone is orderly. Hopefully, this isn't going to take long!" He ended.

"I will do as you have said, master!" His voice cracked with a swelling sense of responsibility.

After his meeting with his secret agents. Mazzle learned that the location of his wife was hidden. But however, it was easy for them to find his son.

But at a construction center.

The building was stiff and cold. Sounds of workers running to and fro.

Mazzel's lips tugged against his tongue. This was supposed to be where his daughter and mother stayed according to the Intels that he had received.

Before he was sentenced to death, he had left behind a huge fortune for his mother and daughter to leave.

"You! Stop being so lazy!" His eyes quickly caught up with a seven-year-old boy trying to collect a twenty kg sack.

He wobbled under the weight of it as the owner howled at him.

"If you continue this way, I will be forced to cut your salary in half!"

The expression of the little boy grew frantic. He tried to speak but only a tired gush of air escaped from his lips.

He tried harder, pushing the sack from returning to the chubby man with forward-stretched hands, too exhausted to speak.

"The only thing you know how to do is rob me of my money!" He huffed angrily, pushing into her purse and thrusting a few pounds into the hands of the young girl.

Her eyes quirked. "Is there a problem?" Mr. Chubby inquired.

"I think you forgot my feeding allowance!" He forced the words out of her parched throat.

"Oh did? Or maybe I just think that you aren't worthy of a feeding allowance.

Do you need a soothsayer to inform you to get some leftovers from the trash car!"

The little girl broke into an instant panic.

"Please Lord Nazar... You've held back my allowance for three days now... And my salary usually goes to my family.

I can work extra for the allowance and I promise to be on my best behavior!" The emotions threatened to burst out from her eyes.

He took a dollar and tore it right before the eyes of the boy.

"This is the last warning I'm going to give you, scram... Only if you prefer everything to be taken away from you!"

He turned around to leave, only to turn back a few moments later, an exasperated sigh gushing off from his looks.

"I'm entitled to it Lord Nazar, I worked for it. The law says so.." he summoned all the courage that he had in him.

Nazar lets out a mocking gasp. "Did you pick that up from the trash too? Cause I know that you're nothing close to educated."

"I won't leave until I get my allowance!" The stinging hunger was just enough motivation for the little boy to keep pushing. Just maybe the cruel Lord might find herself a heart.

But it only increased the velocity of his anger.

"Is that rebellion I sense?" His expression turned devilish... Causing the little boy to shiver under her stance.

Two men appeared from the side at his call, picking up the boy while he struggled, tears pouring freely from her eyes and flooding the floor. But no matter how much he struggled, it was just impossible for him to break free.

He picked up a whip and snarled.

"Seems you have forgotten how rebellious dogs are treated, I will gladly remind me!" His lips cracked with excitement.

With the whip coming down at the girl with so much scorn, Nazar's hands were stopped halfway

His face schooled into a grim as he face paired with the dark eyes of the interruption.

"Have you no shame?" Anger rolled off from Mazzle in a deadly wave but Nazar didn't bulge despite the above-dropping temperature in the room.

"And who the hell are you? Someone who craves death badly?" He gnawed.

"You're asking the wrong questions. You should instead be asking what would become of you after this!" Though he remained calm, his cold looks shot deep into Nazar's heart.

The lady had refused to get rid of her smile, but it was not contagious enough to had any effect on Mezzle. He still stared at her with wide eyes, not sure if he was supposed to go any closer to her. “This can’t be happening.” He muttered, taking in a deep breath. The soldiers had not seen him like that before, so it was almost impossible for them to comprehend what was happening. But they couldn’t call it fear, nor could they call it weakness. Nevertheless, it was unexplainable, and the harder they tried to understand it, the more difficult it was for them. So they continued staring while they kept their distance. The lady decided that it was time for her to get rid of the space that was between her and Mezzle. “Come give me a hug!” Her steps were getting quicker, her smile lingering as she spread her arms wide enough to contain Mezzle. “I have missed you so much!” She sighed as she wrapped her arms around him. Mezzle just stood still like a statue, but when he saw that th

Serenity seemed to have returned to the military base, but both the soldiers and the civilians had not stopped talking about everything that they had been through for days. What was more saddening were the lives that were lost. But even the properties that were damaged had taken a toll on them, and it was going to take a lot of time to process. Work was already in progress, but Mezzle was not certain that they were going to finish on time. The soldier in charge of the work was worried as well, walking up to him with a hopeless expression. He saluted and took a deep breath. “What do we do, General? We have little time left.” Mezzle looked around, and seeing that the houses that were destroyed had barely been touched, he sighed. “How many houses were destroyed, Lieutenant?” “Fifteen houses, General.” The Lieutenant said, causing Mezzle to arch his brows. He took a deep breath, and then he let it out slowly. “How many laborers do we have currently?’“About fifty workers are on boa

Seeing that their fate was soon going to be decided by the sharp edge of the dagger, the men shivered, staring with wide eyes and shivering lips. One of them who had refused to speak earlier lifted his hand nervously. “Allow me to speak, General.” He swallowed hard, not certain if he was going to get the permission he was seeking. At that moment, Mezzle looked around, but when he eventually returned his gaze to the man, he gestured to him. “Speak.” The man sighed heavily, looking at his companions left and right. “We are sorry, General Mezzle. We didn’t want to come here, but we had no choice. Our people are dying, and we don’t even have enough food to sustain them.”Mezzle growled. “That’s not a good reason to do what you did, Gentlemen. You killed my soldier and attacked us!”“WE are sorry, General!” Another man pleaded, and the others affirmed his words with deep nods. Mezzle had no time to spend with them. “I want you to go back to wherever you are coming from and speak to your

Mezzle thought that Eren was going to react to what he said just in case he wasn’t aware that the device was picking up the signal from outside Earth, but Eren still maintained his look. “Do you know what that means, Eren?”“Yes, I know, Mezzle.” Eren nodded confidently, and that gave the General a reason to pay attention to him. Eren took a deep breath. “Look, Mezzle. Getting into space is not going to be a big deal for us. We just need to figure out the exact location Yuri could be hiding and get to him.”Mezzle scoffed. “How do we do that?” He asked, still not seeing how that was viable. “By flying with the ships that we have.”“What ships, Eren? I am sure that you know that most of our war machines and even spaceships were destroyed by the aliens. Those were among the first things they destroyed, knowing how that could render us incapable.” Eren chuckled softly. “I am not talking about those ships, General.” He sighed, but realizing that Mezzle was still confused, he had to co

qqAll Eren had to do was listen attentively, and the moment he heard the same sound Mezzle was paying attention to, he sighed. “What is that?” “There is only one way to find out,” Mezzle responded, but Eren didn’t look like he was prepared to make that discovery at that moment. “Come on.” Mezzle was already on his way, following the direction that led to the sound, and he was left with no choice but to go with him.Slowly, they marched along the hallway that had debris and so many other things littered all over, avoiding the objects that could make noise and reveal their presence just in case there was anyone around. “Do you think this is a good idea?” Eren asked, but Mezzle silently continued moving, and in less than a couple of seconds, they had already arrived at the room where the sound was reverberating from. “That’s a portal.” Eren was the first to discover what the glittering opening on the wall was while Mezzle stood in front of it, unsure if it was safe to go closer. At

Olden knew not to waste any time when answering the General’s questions, but at that moment, he seemed to be a little bit overwhelmed by what the ladies said to him.Not only Mezzle, but the soldiers were also eager to hear what he was going to say. “Speak, Soldier!” Mezzle was running out of patience, and his outburst was enough to force Olden to speak. He took a deep breath. “They are from Barmia, General.” Mezzle sighed. “That’s one of the countries in the East.” He stared at the ladies for a while, and then he asked. “What else?” “They said they belong to a group called the Revolutionists.” “Revolutionists?” Mezzle, Eren, and some of the soldiers muttered. “Yes, General. They said it’s a group consisting of about ten countries. They are survivors of the apocalypse who decided to form a group.” Mezzle sighed, but even though he was glad to hear that there were more survivors than they thought, he still had some concerns. “What else?” Olden took a deep breath. “They said th
