Ernest's awake

A white light went into his retina. His pupils caught the width of a lamp on the ceiling of the room. Quietly, his eyes caught the face of a girl he had longed for.

"Hellen?" he asked in such a surprised voice.

The girl who was called by the man who was lying stiff in the hospital safe was surprised not to play. He immediately stood looking at Ernest, who was conscious of his coma.

"Ernest? Are you aware? Doctor! Doctor!" Hellen called out to the doctor and then pressed the emergency button to help the doctor come there.

" Am I in the hospital? " Ernest asked while watching the surrounding situation.

"Yes, you're in the hospital. You're in a coma, I'm so glad you realize," said Hellen, deeply moved.

Ernest smiled but when he was about to answer Hellen's words. Doctors and nurses entered the room where Ernest was treated, along with Ernest's father.

"Can you come out for a while? I want to examine the patient first," asked the Doctor in response to a nod by Hellen and Lewis.

Lewis and Hellen walked out of the room. They're waiting for the results of the doctor's examination of Ernest's condition now.

"Sit down, Hellen. Maybe it will take a long time for the press," said Lewis, who was rewarded by Hellen's nod.

"Oh, I'm so grateful that Ernest is awake. I'm so grateful that God will listen to my prayers," Lewis said again.

"I'm also glad to see Ernest is awake. Hopefully, the results will be okay," said Hellen with hope.

" Amen, " Lewis replied.

Meanwhile, Lewis and Hellen can only wait while hoping to God that Ernest is okay now.

15 minutes later

Doctors and nurses came out of the room. Hellen and Lewis stood before the doctor.

"How's my son, Doc? Is he okay?" Lewis asked with a worried face.

"He's fine. His concussion is only mild. After this, he will recover as long as he has enough rest and doesn't get too stressed because he will have a headache. Another one, if Ernest has been able to get out of the hospital, he must regularly check-up at least once a week. Later, I will prescribe medicine if he has a headache. If you know that he feels other symptoms, you should immediately take him to the hospital," explained the doctor.

"Ah, thank God. Then, are we allowed to go inside to see Ernest?" Lewis asked again.

"Of course it's okay, then we'll say goodbye. If there's anything, please press the emergency button so we can get here quickly. Good afternoon!" said the doctor, then he was greeted by Lewis and Hellen.

Lewis and Hellen went into Ernest's room. Ernest himself was watching his favorite cartoon series. He looks fine as if it doesn't hurt.

" Ahahahaha! " Lewis laughed that surprised Ernest and Hellen.

"You, my son, are very strong! You almost made me want to die just because I was worried about you," Lewis said, making Ernest chuckle while Hellen could only hug his smile.

"Can you worry about me? I can't believe it. Hellen, are you worried about me?" Ernest asked.

"Right, Er. He's very worried about you. Even you'd be surprised if it turns out that your father was crying waiting for you to realize," said Hellen who made Ernest laugh. Lewis can only scratch the nape of his head with shame.

"Hellen, you can cover it from Ernest even though, I'm embarrassed," Lewis whispered to Hellen and Ernest laughed at him.

Ernest was delighted to see two dear ones beside him after a long time of unconsciousness. He didn't think they'd wait for him. Although he did, in his mind he felt an unexpected pain in what his father did to him.

'Why did you do it? Now he looks innocent at all? Is he? ' Ernest's inner voice.

Ernest looked at Hellen, who was feeding him now. How glad Ernest was after a long absence from seeing Hellen and when he woke up from his coma he saw that Hellen was already beside him.

"Where is he going?" asked Ernest.

"He said he was making up for the medicine and buying food," Hellen replied.

"Um. I see. Oh yeah, where have you been? Why haven't you told me for a long time? Do you know how I felt when you just walked away from me for no reason?" asked Ernest a little upset.

"I.. have family problems and work problems. I'm sorry for making you worry, I didn't know you would worry about me like this," said Hellen while bowing sluggishly.

Ernest was stunned. He felt guilty about asking Hellen about such a thing. He should have waited for Hellen to say it first.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have told you this. I'm sorry, it must have hurt you," said Ernest himself.

Hellen suddenly grabbed Ernest's arm, the girl smiled as she stroked Ernest's arm.

"There's nothing to worry about, Er. I'm fine now. I was really surprised when I heard you got sick. I immediately looked for your whereabouts and found you in a coma. I was the one who felt guilty for leaving you for no apparent reason. You must be very anxious to find me, I should have told you at first, "said Hellen.

"Hellen, I'm so worried about you. I think you're angry because I expressed my feelings for you. I think you're avoiding me because of it," said Ernest.

"Of course not. Um... About that day, can I answer your question? Is that still true?" asked Hellen, making Ernest surprised.

"Of course. I'll wait until you're ready to answer it," Ernest said with a soft look.

"All right, about your statement on that day. My answer is, yes." Ernest immediately sparkled at the answer.

"K-you are you serious? So you want to be my girlfriend, Hellen?" asked Ernest to make sure. Hellen immediately nodded steadily with a sweet smile.

"Woohoo!" Ernest cheered happily until he raised his hand high.

"A.. Aw! It hurts!" he said when he realized that his infusion was drawn a little and made his arm bleed. Of course, it was upsetting for Ernest.

"My God, you're too excited. Let me call a doctor. I'm afraid it's dangerous," said Hellen then pressed the button for the doctor to come. Ernest could only hold his arm tight enough.

— The Game of Death —

Lewis stared at the room full of psychology books there. Here he is now, in a room where psychologists will examine him. Yeah, Lewis said to the doctor the other day about his mental breakdown.

A psychiatrist came into the room where Lewis was waiting. Lewis turned around and was given the best smile by that beautiful psychiatrist named Jane.

"Good afternoon, are you with Mr. Lewis?" Jane asked making sure.

"Right, I'm Lewis. Yesterday I made an appointment with you," said Lewis, then they shook hands to get to know each other.

"Okay, introduce me, Jane. I'm a psychiatrist who will listen to your complaints. So, what makes you want to come here, Mr. Lewis?" Jane asked kindly.

"I feel that there is another person inside me. Sometimes, I feel I don't recognize myself. And it's completely beyond my consciousness and control," Lewis explained.

"When was the last time you felt something like that? And when did you feel you were different from before?" Jane asked again.

"When I'm angry and I'm in unstable emotions. I also often feel that my emotions change very easily over time. The last time I felt this, I felt that way about 2-3 days ago. I often regret after waking up, because I often hurt my child unconsciously under that condition," Lewis replied.

"Do you often feel intense headaches when you can't control your emotions? Or are there other complaints that you feel while in that phase?" Jane said making sure.

"Yes, I often feel severe headaches and unconsciousness after that. I also often experience anxiety and hallucinations too much," Lewis said.

"Well, have you experienced severe trauma as a child before or things that often make you anxious and afraid?" Jane asked again.

"Yes, I was traumatized when my parents used violence against me. I was afraid to lose someone. I often felt alone. After my wife died, I got worse," Lewis replied.

"Well, look at what you're experiencing. I think you're getting DID disorder," said Jane.

"DID? What is it?" Lewis asked making sure.

"The dual personality or dissociative identity disorder that we often know about DID is often similar to schizophrenia, but the condition of these two disorders is different. Multiple personality disorder is a condition which a in person has two or more different personalities. Multiple personality disorder is also called dissociative identity disorder. This condition is a condition generally due to traumatic experiences that occur repeatedly in childhood. This causes you to create other personalities when you feel threatened," Jane explained.

"Isn't this personality disorder very dangerous, madam?" Lewis asked timidly.

"Of course, apart from hurting yourself. The personality you create can hurt others. But, don't worry, you can recover if you continue to do therapy specifically and regularly," said Jane.

" How can I do that? " Lewis asked worriedly.

"The method of healing is certainly with psychotherapy and drugs. However, it is good to do hypnotherapy. To control abnormal behavior. However, beforehand, we need to conduct blood tests and scans with Rontgen photos, CT scans, or MRIs, to remove possible symptoms caused by the patient's effects. drug side or any other disease, are you ready?" Jane explained.

'What's the sign, now that I've become a madman? ' Lewis' inner self is wondering.
