An Abandones Task

Ernest went around the park with Hellen. The first day he woke up from his coma, Ernest took a walk with Hellen. He said he wanted to release his miss to Hellen.

"The air is very fresh, yes! Especially with you here," said Ernest.

"You are, yes! Getting out of a coma instead of getting better and getting more nervous! " exclaimed Hellen who was laughed at by Ernest.

"Anyway, I've missed you all this time, Hellen. You don't know how worried I was after losing you at that time," said Ernest sadly.

"Didn't I apologize to you? Haven't you forgiven me until now? Hm?" asked Hellen while leaning his face towards Ernest.

"Hi, no, why! I've forgiven you before. I'm just kidding! Hehehe, oh yes, where are you going, huh? Why hasn't he come home since then?" asked Ernest anxiously.

"I don't know, he doesn't know we're here either. Well, we'll go back to your living room, huh? You've got enough wind, right?" said Hellen.

"Yes. Let's just go back, I'm worried that something might happen to him," said Ernest in response to Hellen's nod.

Hellen encouraged Ernest's wheelchair to leave. They went back to Ernest's hospital. When they got there, they saw Lewis sitting on the ledge staring blankly at the floor. He doesn't know why he did that, it's so unusual.

"Daddy! " called Ernest immediately to Lewis.

"Hey! Where have you been?" Lewis asked as soon as his face turned cheerful when he looked at Ernest and Hellen who were now in front of him.

"We ran out of the hospital park. Ernest said he wanted to get wind. I forgot not to tell uncle, uncle, where did you go?" Hellen explained and asked Lewis.

"Oh, I paid for the medicine for Ernest and bought food. Miss Hellen hasn't eaten yet, right? Eat with me. I bought chicken teriyaki at the opposite restaurant. I looked around, it seems good, but I'm sorry if I make you wait a long time, I went to the bathroom the first time. Be advised, there was a call from nature," Lewis who was accompanied.

Ernest and Hellen could only smile he made. Ernest thinks that his father is completely different from the father that Ernest knew before. She's warmer and funnier, not as annoying and cold as she used to be.

"It seems like you're very happy today. What makes you so happy?" asked Ernest instantly making Lewis smile.

"Because of your presence, I was happy, son. I thought, what would I do without you? I would lose my way. I know, I often upset you, sad, and feel sick. But, my instincts are always honest. I love you very much. Just like I love your mother," Lewis explained Ernest was stunned.

Be quiet afterward. Seeing the awkwardness, Hellen also looked for other topics so that the atmosphere was not too rigid like this.

"Eum. Ernest, you haven't eaten medicine since. Let's eat medicine first! Oh yes, uncle let's eat it! Ernest can eat his own medicine, right?" asked Hellen immediately making Ernest and Lewis look at him together.

"Oh yes, let's eat! You must have been very hungry waiting for me. I'm sorry, yes!" Lewis said in response to Hellen's words.

"It's okay, Uncle. It must be so crowded that you have to wait in line for a long time," said Hellen.

While they were eating, Ernest could only stare at the closeness of the two. The two people Ernest loves are now sharing a story.

'I always hoped, we'd go on like this, Dad, Hellen,'

Ernest spoke in his own heart. He also took his wheelchair to pick up the medicine Lewis put on the table. He took the medicine while listening to the conversation between Hellen and his father. Can they go on forever like this?

— The Game of Death —

Ernest looked at his phone screen. Lewis is not in his room. He was home getting a change of clothes for Ernest, and Hellen also had to go home because he said he'd come to work tomorrow. He'll be back tomorrow afternoon to see Ernest every day until he gets better.

Jeremy's last message still left makes Ernest scramble. He was still confused, he had almost a week's not work to do. Ernest thought that his head injury was a sign of a call for Ernest not to complain about the assignment Jeremy had given him.

"It's been more than a week, does this task still have to be done? Is my coma a reprimand from him?" asked Ernest while staring at his last chat room with Jeremy.

Suddenly, while Ernest was daydreaming, a call came in from Jeremy. It was almost like Ernest was about to throw down his phone because he was so surprised. How does Jeremy know if he's thinking about it? Isn't it weird that Jeremy always knew about what Ernest was doing?

"Damn, is he God? Why does he always know what I'm doing?" asked Ernest while shifting the button on his phone towards the green button.

"Hello?" Ernest answered opening his first call.

"Are you awake? Thank God you're alive, Er," he said in a relaxed tone.

"Do you expect me to die, Jeremy?" asked Ernest a little emotionally.

"Ekhem! Should you ask the person who gives you wealth?" Jeremy said in a slightly haughty tone.

"I know. But, do you have to do this to me? Why are you giving me such a hard task? How can I find that strange human?" Ernest asked impatiently.

"That's, anyway, your business, Er! I don't care. By the contract agreement, you agreed to before this game started. I rule, and you carry out my orders, there is no repulsion at all from you. Once the agreement is mentioned. And you will certainly not forget the agreement," Jeremy explained.

"But how can I kill and eat humans?" said Ernest.

"That's your consequence! Now choose, do you want to be rich or poor? Now, I am your God. I give you money, wealth, and happiness. Don't you realize that I am like God to you?" Jeremy said arrogantly.

Ernest was silent. What Jeremy said was true, even though he didn't admit Jeremy to be his God. But Jeremy did give Ernest everything he wanted.

"So, what do you want now? Stop and become poor? Or continue this crazy game and become rich? Choose, I don't have much time to call you and hear your complaints every day. This is the third task, what about the next task? Should I give a stern and painful reprimand than this?" offered Jeremy making Ernest think hard.

Ernest thought, if he stopped, all the money, wealth, and happiness he had would have just disappeared. He doesn't want to go back to life as hard as he used to. Eventually, Ernest found the best way to avoid being harmed.

"All right, I'll do it. But, can you give me an extension? You know, I haven't been well until now. Is it okay?" asked Ernest.

"Haha, again you bid. All right, just this time. I give you one more week. If you haven't finished it, then be prepared to lose everything in your life," Jeremy said then the call was decided unilaterally.

Ernest breathed a harsh sigh. He had to do it, no matter what. Otherwise, he will return to his miserable life again. That's not what Ernest wanted. Ernest hated being poor. Ernest hated being insulted and cornered by many. It's time he was the one who was so much better than those guys.

"I can't stop here. Hellen has accepted me as his lover. This means I have to fight hard to marry him soon. So, I can't give up. Stop thinking this job is bad, Ernest! It's a profitable job! Let's think!" said Ernest to himself.

Ernest thought for a moment, he looked at what he could do now to accomplish this task. The problem is that until now he hasn't even been well and allowed to go home. That's why the task has to be stalled.

Suddenly, an idea popped into his head. Ernest immediately called someone when he felt his idea was the best idea to do now.

"Hello, Mr. Ernest?! Are you feeling well?" Darren asked enthusiastically.

"Haha, hello Darren. How's the restaurant doing during my illness? Is it okay?" Ernest said casually.

"The restaurant is certainly getting crowded, sir. Even yesterday, we received bad news about crazy vloggers the other day. He spread bad news about this restaurant. A few days ago, the restaurant was quiet. But, because we did an impromptu promotion, we also got customers again even though not as many times ago. The first time, " explains Darren.

"A surprise promotion? Did you get permission from my father?" asked Ernest to make sure.

"I'm sorry, sir. We didn't ask your father for permission. But, we tried to do our best for the restaurant. We're worried about not being paid. Oh yes, sir! If you are awake, let us visit you, sir! There are many things we have to discuss with you directly. At the same time make sure that you are okay." Darren said.

"Didn't my father tell me where I was being treated? I think you guys are the only ones who have had no support from me so far," Ernest said.

"No, sir. We wanted to visit you after there was news that you fell ill suddenly. Your father didn't tell us anything. He didn't even check the condition of the restaurant until now," Darren replied.

"Really?! All right, I'll send you the location. Oh yes, if you want to come here later after work. You must be very busy, right?" asked Ernest.

"Yes, sir. After work, I'll be there. Thank you and sorry then, I have to go back to work. I'll call you back later," he concluded.

"All right, good job! Fighting!" Ernest said.
