"Please!" Jasper begged as blood and tears mixed under his eyes. "Don't kill me!"

Tyler's face was an impenetrable mask. "An innocent woman's honor means nothing to you! Scum like you don't deserve to live!"

"Please! I have a wife and kids!" the man wailed. "They will be helpless without me! Have mercy!"

Tyler paused and lowered his hand. He went into reflection. Had he ever considered the repercussions of killing a stranger? The young man had wiped out the Hux gang because they kidnapped and were about to violate his sister. But what about their families?

In human society, crime was penalized based on the severity of actions. The punishment wasn't decided based on how it would affect the convict's family.
