Rain hammered against the high windows of the Velora City Military District command post as heavy boots pounded down the corridor. The door slammed open. A soldier stumbled in a damp uniform, panting heavily. His eyes were also wide with urgency. "Report, Commander! Something huge has happened!" Behind the desk, Commander Sergei lifted his gaze from a stack of files. The three golden stars on his collar glinted under the ceiling light. His frown deepened. "Compose yourself, soldier. Stand straight and speak clearly. Ten years at my side and you still panic like a recruit?" The soldier swallowed hard, snapped to attention, and saluted before going on with his report, "Sir, several unregistered military choppers have landed in Velora. They are currently in the west wing of the city to be precise, and based on probation, they have been in the city for more than twenty-four hours." Commander Sergei’s brows drew together. "And the city guards? Surveillance? They missed it?"
