As Damien was declared the winner, Cassandra simply relaxed her body, unlike the others who may have had unresolved feelings about losing, she showed no signs of disappointment or attitude despite the fact that she had been the one dominating the fight since the start of the match.

Taking the loss in stride, Cassandra maintained her perfectly blank expression as her great sword flashed with white light, returning to her space ring.

Without even casting a glance back at Damien, she began to calmly walk down the battle ring.

This provoked a sneer from Damien, he knew that he hadn't won in the manner he had hoped, but defeating the formidable Cassandra without such tactics would have regardless be close impossible as he was unsure who would survive at the end.

The moment Cassandra stepped down from the battle ring, Damien swiftly summoned healing pills from his space ring.

Using his left hand, he removed the cover and consumed the pills, a

It’s time for me to pay you back,” Damien retorted, swiping his hand and summoning a pitch-black sword with red cracks.“If you said that when you were in a better state, maybe I would have believed it, but how do you plan to defeat me with your current mana state? If you want, I can give you a little break,” Marcus teased, but Damien chuckled.“We both know you won’t do that, so stop pretending to be nice and come at me, as for Mana, you don’t have to worry. I may not be at my best, but I managed to draw some blood from your previous teammate.” “ Although converting his blood energy to mana will cause me to lose some of it in the process,” Damien explained.“But it’s sti

The entire crowd remained entranced, their eyes fixated on the massive blood dome that enveloped the battle ring. It all began when Damien started casting the [Blood Mist] spell, and it soon became clear to them that his intentions extended beyond obstructing Marcus’s vision. Damien had strategically placed runes around the battle ring while obstructing Marcus’s vision, the runes are what activated the domain, so he had his blood clone diverted Marcus’s attention for a while and that’s why, It was only now that Marcus realized he had been ensnared within a sprawling blood dome. Initially the crowd perceived his attempt as a mere tool to impair Marcus’s sight, but the spectators are beginning to comprehend its true purpose, and that is to disrupt Marcus’s senses entirely. They came to this realization because they had witnessed Damien’s actions first-hand. Although the blood dome obscured their view, the screen ab

“Dragov Dragonmir, it’s your turn to take the stage!” The red-haired referee called out, since Damien had been escorted out of the battle ring by the reserve team of the Bloodline Academy. Now, it was only Marcus Sanctus who awaited Dragov for the climactic final match to commence at the battle ring.Without hesitation, Dragov rose from his seat and began his deliberate stride toward the battle ring, the resounding drag of his battle axe accompanying each of his slow yet steadfast steps as he made his way to the battle ring stairs.“Dragov!!!” The fans of the Bloodline Academy erupted in cheers, their voices ringing out even before he set foot in the arena. It was as if they were summoning him to make things right, to secure victory for their Academy team. But despite their worry, they knew that convincing him to evade the impending attack would be futile. Dragov was the type of person who relished in challenges, and if he hadn’t been willing to face them head-on, he would never have allowed Marcus to unleash such a powerful assault against him in the first place. Marcus’s strategy of channelling the light beam after a brief moment of charging was a prudent move. As no seasoned Mage in their right minds would willingly grant their opponent the opportunity and time to gather such a devastating spell that could leave them in a perilous state. Had Marcus attempted the same tactic against Damien, he would have nimbly rushed forwar

“Begin!” The referee’s voice boomed through the arena as the final match between the Holy Grail Academy and the Bloodline Academy commenced. Like previous matches, the crowd erupted into enthusiastic cheers, fervently supporting their respective team captains.“Well, it has all come down to this,” Alec muttered to himself, his hands intertwined as they covered his mouth. His head bowed, lost in deep contemplation, the intense battles of the second round stirred thoughts within him. Alec wondered if he would be able to defeat all five members of an opposing team without his golems. If any of the other captains from the Great 8 academies could hear his thoughts right now, they would undoubtedly be tempted to blast him away with their spells. Even though they exuded confidence in their ability to triumph in one-on-one matches against their own team members, facing multiple consecutive battles without rest would take a toll on b

But everything was happening so fast, the crowd watched in awe as a golden-coloured pill appeared in Alec’s hand, and he extended it toward Bailey Lanzt, it was obvious to many that Alec had just pulled it from his space ring, prompting a few to glance toward the fifth VIP booth.Their eyes locked onto the Gordons Patriarch, though no one said a word, But George could clearly read the unspoken message behind their stares:“How could you leave such a priceless treasure in the hands of your grandson? Look, he’s about to hand it to that smelly old man!”What they didn’t realize, however, was that even George himself had never seen such a pill of that realm before, just like them all, It was also his first time laying eyes on a Tier 7 healing pill, and the jealousy brewing inside him could have made him explode. He had this itch to rush down and snatch the pill from Alec’s hand, and lock it away forever in the Gordons Clan treasury, so it would never see the light of day again. But he

  • It Worked?

Everyone had their eyes fixed on Bailey after he swallowed the pill, each person eager to witness what would truly happen to him, many in the room were genuinely hoping that, for the city’s future and its chances against the zombie horde, the cure would prove effective. However, there were a few, like the Raisa Clan who silently wished for the opposite, with all the recent success the Gordons Clan had enjoyed, from their pivotal role in the Blood Moon battle to the overwhelming impact of this auction, clans like theirs were desperate to see the Gordons fail at something—anything—that would drag their name through the mud for once.It stung that the Gordons were thriving even while other clans were still struggling to recover from the losses of the Blood Moon war during previous months’ battle, and naturally, this only intensified the resentment of those clans who had never been on good terms with the Gordons to begin with.Though Alec couldn’t read minds, he had a strong sense of wha

Bang!A sharp sonic blast erupted, sending shockwaves rippling in all directions as the mage Alec had just scolded launched himself toward the stage, his right hand was outstretched, aiming for the five pill bottles placed atop the stone pillar. The move had been so sudden and explosive that those nearby couldn’t react in time. The newly appointed Patriarch of the Raiza Clan stood abruptly, ready to attack along with the high rank Mage as this was such a rare chance for disruption, but then he noticed something strange, the Gordons hadn’t moved. Not the side guards Alec had positioned around, nor the two female mages beside Alec at the top of the stage, even Alec himself just stared blankly making the Raisa Patriarch suspicious. From the corner of his eye, he could see that none of them so much as flinched, it was almost as if… they were waiting for this. The high-rank mage, unaware of the danger, let a smirk curl across his lips. His special ability is temporary invisibility,

“How is that possible? We all know that the pill capable of curing the zombie virus can only be obtained from the royal palace itself, only the royal alchemist possesses the knowledge to create it, and even then, it’s said to be incredibly difficult to produce. ““That’s one of the reasons we rarely see it at all,” someone from the crowd exclaimed, sparking a wave of discussion among the mages, most still uncertain whether to believe Alec Gordon’s words. This time, Alistair couldn’t keep his composure, his mind was spinning as he tried to recall if there was any other way to contact the royal alchemists from the Capital city without a direct referral from the city hall, but he came up with nothing. That left only two possibilities: either the Gordons were involved in black market dealings with a Royal Alchemist in the capital, or they had a direct connection that allowed them to acquire rare items from there.Neither scenario sat well with him, as if it was the black market, it me

  • The Final Item.

After two of the spirit equipment sets had been claimed by the Lanzt and Aegisborn clans, the competition for the remaining two rose to an entirely new level, of the last two, one stood out instantly—completely dark, as though it had swallowed the light around it. Its presence radiated an ominous charm, and the intricate craftsmanship made it clear this was no ordinary set.It was a four-piece spirit equipment set: a full body armour that extended to cover the hands like gloves, boots that reached the knees and merged seamlessly with the armour, a long, shadowy cape affixed to the back, and a broad sword as the final piece. This set was known as the Umbral Dread Regalia, and the bidding for it surged rapidly, led by the Darkbliss clan, who had long been waiting for something that matched their shadow affinity. The price escalated until it reached two hundred and thirty Tier 6 bodies, at which point no one dared to bid higher. With that, the Darkbliss clan finally secured a prize o

  • Auction 8.

While many in the crowd were busy wondering why no bidding war had erupted over such a high-caliber Spirit equipment set, Alec only smiled, only the top clans and a few insightful mages in the audience had grasped what truly happened. Most of the clans hadn’t shown much interest in the Ivory Juggernaut Set simply because it lacked elemental affinity but was more biased towards Qi manipulation, making it a poor match for their mages. Alec had given a brief explanation to stir some enthusiasm, and while a few had indeed shown interest, they remained hesitant. The Aegisborn Patriarch, however, saw the armour as a perfect blessing, as its abilities seemed tailored to enhance his clan’s innate strengths, so when he noticed a few other Patriarchs preparing to bid, he acted swiftly, calling out a hundred Tier 6 bodies without hesitation. In truth, that was the full amount his clan had brought to the auction. His brother Orion had warned him not to allow too many parties to get swept up i

As Alec approached the stone pillar, he used his body to block the crowd’s view. Whispers and quiet conversations stirred as everyone waited for him to move aside, but Alec deliberately took his time. Eventually, he stepped away, revealing five pill bottles neatly arranged on top of the pillar, staring back at the eager crowd.“I’m glad to inform you all that we’ve reached the final round of today’s auction, and if you didn’t manage to acquire anything before the end of the auction, don’t worry there will be another opportunity in the next auction,” Alec said as he addressed the room once again. “I won’t bore you with talk about what’s to come, instead, let me introduce the final items of the night.”With that, Alec walked over to the spirit equipment set placed at the far right, the armour gleamed white with golden edges, seemingly lacking elemental affinity, but radiating a heavy flow of savage Qi. Alec ran his left hand along the smooth surface of the armour, which included

  • Auction 6.

After the second round was won by the Lanzt clan, the previously bustling crowd fell silent again, waiting for the next big reveal. But Alec had already rolled out two rounds which were dominated by his own items, successfully building the excitement he had aimed for, now the crowd of mages was far too hooked to leave or get pissed if he brought out lesser items. At this point, Alec decided it was time to bring out the other items that didn’t belong to him, like the low-rank spirit armours crafted by the Gordons’ forgers who were still learning the art, although Alec didn’t want the Gordons mages using these armours themselves, it didn’t mean he thought they were useless, which was why he decided to auction them off on behalf of the mages who created them so they could at least get some joy seeing how sorted out their creation was.The way Alec structured it, they would collect magic crystals for these products, with the profits shared between the mages who forged them and the Gordon
