Genius Idea.

“That has to be the most dangerous idea I’ve ever heard! How exactly do you plan to oversee all six battlefields by yourself?” the chubby Fifth Elder, who had been silent until now, finally spoke, his tone laden with skepticism.

“Which battlefield would you fight on? Which would you prioritize? How do you plan to lead all six battlefronts simultaneously? Your idea doesn’t align with my understanding of war, Alec,” he added, crossing his arms as he awaited a response.

Even the Grand Elder nodded in agreement, as he interjected,

“Alec, you must understand, these are the lives of our clansmen we’re talking about, whether bound by blood or marriage into the clan, they’re putting their trust in the commanders, believing in the hierarchy we’ve built, even if we don’t impose it on them.”

The elders’ skeptical gazes bore into Alec, but he remained calm, listening patiently.

When they had finished, he began to speak with a steady resolve.

“I understand your concerns and what’s at stake, th

“How…!” Kylian choked out, barely able to form the words. He couldn’t understand how Brandon had emerged from the tide of frozen blades without so much as a scratch, or even looking slightly flustered.Even though Kylian had exhausted a large chunk of his mana from the previous battle, he had still poured everything he had left into that last attack. He’d expected it to at least rattle Brandon a little, but instead, the result crushed what remained of his confidence. He tried to fight the feeling, but the weight of despair was slowly dragging him under.“Simple,” Brandon replied calmly. “I cast my Stone Skin spell alongside activating my Spirit Equipment Set. So all the damage was absorbed externally by the stone skin spell, the few that pierced through were taken care of by my spirit armour, so here I am, completely unaffected by that little cold storm you threw my way.”He paused, then added with a tilt of his head, “So, I wanted to ask—are you done now?”Kylian’s mouth twitch

  • The Most Durable Gordons.

Brandon’s approach to the stage was slow and deliberate—almost too casual. His movements lacked any urgency, and he gave off no aura of a warrior preparing for battle. Yet, he walked steadily to the battle ring and took his place opposite Kylian.Once the judge saw the new participant of the War God Mage Academy standing ready, he saw no reason to delay the match.“Begin!”At the judge’s command, Brandon reached for one of the weapons on his back with his right hand.Brandon’s weapons were always wrapped in cloth, resembling a mummy’s bindings, they had never been seen in a traditional scabbard before, since his father had gifted them to him that way and instructed him to care for them just as they were. Since then, his sword and saber had remained wrapped, strapped lightly across his back, aided by the type of clothing he wore which made carrying them easier. On days when his outfit didn’t allow for back placement—when the proper straps were absent, Brandon would simply hug them

  • Agnes Gordons 2.

While the flood dragon struggled to push Kylian off the stage, its body was slowly freezing over, because the sheer amount of ice mana Kylian was releasing had already turned the dragon’s entire head into what looked like a detailed ice sculpture. As the cracking sounds of spreading ice continued to echo through the arena, Agnes made her final move. Though she had used most of her mana to conjure the lifelike demonic beast in water form, it was her infusion of mental energy that had given the spell its complexity and purpose. Without it, the flood dragon would’ve been just another predictable spell, with the option of being read and counter. Thanks to that mental energy, she’d managed to conserve a small reserve of mana, though she looked completely spent, however she could still cast one last spell, and with Kylian still locked in his desperate struggle against the dragon’s water body, the opportunity was too good to pass up. She raised her hands with the right hand still gripp

  • Agnes Gordons.

Kylian moved in to close the distance, but this time Agnes no longer retreated, she calmly twisted her staff before her as Kylian launched strike after strike, jabbing and slashing with precision. Yet every attempt proved futile, as the water veil surrounding her remained perfectly still, only rippling under the pressure of his attacks.“Water Arrows,” Agnes commanded. From the veil, dozens of water-formed arrows shot out toward Kylian, he twisted his body at unnatural angles, narrowly avoiding each one. For the few that came dangerously close, he countered by hurling frost Qi at them, freezing the arrows mid-flight and severing their link to Agnes, causing them to crash to the ground uselessly and breaking.Just as he finished evading the barrage, he noticed something behind her, it looked like a miniature flood dragon. Its eyes lacked intelligence, but its presence loomed with a dangerous aura that instantly made Kylian wary, this wasn’t an ordinary spell he could brush aside. It

  • Her Turn 2.

“My turn!” Agnes declared as her wand shifted once more into its staff form. She slammed it against the ground, and Kylian’s expression darkened as glowing lights flared beneath his feet.“Shit!” he cursed, realizing too late that he was standing in the middle of five rune circles, he hadn’t even noticed when they were set, all the while Agnes had been retreating, she had been inscribing her summoning runes with each mana-laced step. What made it unknown was the subtle trick at the start of the battle: Agnes had cast a thin, spreading stream of water across the arena floor, Kylian had dismissed it as harmless, failing to realize it was meant to mask the summoning patterns beneath. Now, the very element he ignored had been used to camouflage a battlefield trap and he had walked straight into it. All this time, he believed he was the one planning ahead, scheming and staying a step in front, but now it dawned on him, he had been overconfident, just like Asher. And though he would neve

  • Her Turn.

The reserve team of the Royal Mage Academy wasted no time, as they swiftly carried Asher Blaze’s unconscious body off the stage while Liam clenched his teeth in frustration. The battle had barely begun, and things were already slipping out of his control—something he couldn’t stand. Though the Royal Mage Academy had brought in a new fighter to replace Lucas’ twin brother, who is a part of his old main team and hadn’t returned to academy after the first year holidays, and the new addition was stronger, however he had expected all this as he new addition was from the Tudor family, just like Liam, and clearly strong. Still, none of them had anticipated that the War God Mage Academy would be hiding someone with such a special ability too. They didn’t even recognize Katie, despite having seen her before. Because she hadn’t stood out during the previous encounter in the capital, they had dismissed her as unimportant and failed to realize she had been an original member of the War God
