Chapter 0002

"What are you doing!?" Logan yelled out loud. Logan was disappointed to see his girlfriend under another man's thumb. He never thought that Ivy could cheat on him.

Ivy immediately covered her body with a blanket, but the man she was with wasn't bothered at all. In fact, he boldly wrapped his arms around Ivy.

The man hugging Ivy was Toby. He was the son of a rich man. Even that man was also famous for changing partners before this.

Many women were attracted to him just because they heard about the wealth his family had. But Logan had no idea that Ivy was one of those women who would be easily seduced by Toby.

Logan's eyes turned red. "How dare you defile my room by doing this disgusting thing." Logan shouted back at them. This time, his gaze was fixed on Ivy, and she looked very panicked.

Meanwhile, the man beside Ivy casually touched Ivy's face very gently.

"Good, that useless guy already knows our relationship. You don't have to worry like that, honey." Toby smiled sarcastically as he glanced at Logan who was clenching his fists.

"Hey, get your hands off my girl's face!" Logan shouted angrily and pointed at Toby, but the man just laughed mockingly at Logan.

Ivy immediately turned Toby's hand away. Ivy quickly pulled up the blanket and wrapped it around her body.

She walked over to Logan with great anxiety. "Logan, are you home? I can explain all of this," she said frantically, but Logan swatted away Ivy's hand as she tried to touch him.

"Don't touch me again!" Logan exclaimed and looked angrily at Ivy.

"Logan I-, I have no intention of being with him. I just-" Ivy's words trailed off. She didn't know what to say to Logan.

Logan shook his head. "I can't believe you betrayed me. You know how much I love you, Ivy. But what have you done?" Logan gave Ivy a quizzical look.

"He said he loved you so much? Does a poor person like him know anything about love?" Toby laughed loudly, making Ivy and Logan turn to him.

"It seems that this man is still poor and is still being denied jobs at some companies. You know why? Because this guy is so stupid." Toby laughed again after insulting Logan.

Logan was shocked to hear Toby's words. Apparently, his girlfriend had a long relationship with that man. "You've been cheating on me for a long time?"

Logan asked, but Ivy just kept quiet without being able to explain anything and made Logan even more disappointed in Ivy.

"Why are you just silent? Tell him how long we've been together. Tell him that you're wasting your time with him. Do you still want to maintain a relationship with a loser like him? I don't think it's necessary."

Toby tried to influence Ivy, making her think for a moment.

Instantly Ivy's expression changed. She folded her arms and looked at Logan.

"Yeah, I guess you're right, Toby. Why should I feel guilty about a useless guy like him. I shouldn't waste so much time on a poor man."

Ivy began to feel resentment towards Logan.

"I think you're getting smart, honey. You're right, he's just a poor man who doesn't need to be kept." Toby said back as he grinned at Logan.

"How could you say that?" Logan couldn't believe his lover was so easily swayed by Toby's words.

"You should look in the mirror before you blame me for all this." Ivy looked Logan up and down and sneered again.

"You're a completely useless man. You've never even managed to do anything. So it's only natural that I look for a guy who's reliable and not a loser like you."

Logan glanced at the fallen cake.

"Do you know that I was just about to surprise you on this day? But you betrayed me by being alone with that guy."

Logan tried to tell her, but Ivy only smiled bitterly at Logan's explanation.

Ivy then glanced at the cake scattered under Logan's feet. She remembered that it had fallen when Logan had seen her with Toby.

"Surprising me with a chocolate cake?" Ivy laughed afterward. To her, Logan's words were too lofty and not worthy of his actions. It was like a joke to Ivy.

Logan was silent. He tried to navigate his emotions well.

"What are you really saying? How can you say this to me?"

Logan said incredulously. He had spent all the money he had to surprise Ivy to make her happy. But Ivy broke Logan's hopes and heart.

"I thought that we loved each other before this and I didn't expect you to make a big deal out of it, Ivy." Logan's angry face now turned sad at Ivy's change.

"You're wrong, because I've never loved you. You were from a top university so I agreed to be with you. But now you're just a loser after your graduation,"

Ivy explained, making Logan even more incredulous.

"What are you saying? You shouldn't be saying this to me," Logan said staring at Ivy. He didn't even take his eyes off Ivy. The woman he loved had insulted him outright.

"Besides being stupid, you're also a useless man. You should be able to understand what I'm trying to tell you. You are completely unreliable," Ivy sneered and insulted him.

"How can you say this? You didn't even do anything and just asked me for money. Then now you're saying I'm a useless."

Logan tried to remind Ivy. But the woman didn't care about Logan's ramblings. To her, Logan no longer mattered in her life.

"You shouldn't have gone home so soon. Why don't you try to find a job? At least you can be a little proud of yourself. But I guess you're so stupid that no company would accept a loser like you."

Toby spoke up again, but Logan ignored the man's words.

"How can you be with a guy like him? Even I'm sure he doesn't genuinely love you." Logan tried to remind Ivy, but she was even more annoyed by Logan's words.

"You have no right to talk to me like that. Who do you think you are that you have to manage my life and happiness? I can't even give you anything. Is it because you came with that chocolate cake that you want to control my life right now?"

Ivy gave Logan a warning and looked at him very sharply.

Toby got up and approached Logan. He patted Logan on the shoulder and said, "You should be ashamed after saying that. You'll never know about the power of money. Even today, love can be bought with money."

The man laughed after saying that and then sneered at Logan again. "Ah, I shouldn't have said this to you. A poor person like you wouldn't be able to understand it."

Logan was starting to get annoyed that Toby kept interfering with him. "You talk too much. It looks like I'm going to have to teach you a valuable lesson.

" Logan wanted to raise his hand to hit the man. However, Ivy suddenly stood in front of Logan to protect Toby.

Ivy yelled and gave Logan a sharp look. "What are you doing!? You shouldn't have raised your hand for him. Don't you dare do that because it's completely inappropriate for you to do that to him!"

Logan was forced to lower his hand because Ivy was trying to protect the man who broke Logan's heart.
