The Heir's Redemption (From Disgrace to Dominance)

Chapter 10

“You?” Brian was dumbfounded at first. He then placed his hands on his head in amusement.

It was another reason for everyone present to be in silence at that very moment. They all stared at Sebastian with amazement.

This live-in son-in-law just spoke with absolute certainty. Could it be that he's indeed the President of Prime Enterprise?

Grandpa Nike wasn't ready to even think about the pronouncement Sebatian just made. He didn't believe him. He smiled and said disenchantedly, “The so-called husband to my granddaughter, has gone totally insane.”

The moment Grandpa Nike said that, Romy, Jade and Cindy broke into laughter. They gave Sebatian a look of them being highly flabbergasted by what he just said.

“You're nothing but a poor thing who is a live-in son-in-law. How dare you use Prime Enterprise to elevate your status?”

“What in the world did my sister marry? I mean, this guy is a clown.” 

“Do you really think the Nike family are joking here, or do we look like a joke to you?”

“Sebastian, please stop now, stop being silly.” Juliana couldn't take it anymore. She wasn't happy with the mockery given to him by her family members, because it makes her feel mocked too indirectly.

No matter how she act unconcerned, it couldn't change the fact that Sebastian is still her husband, unless she end up deciding to divorce him legally 

“I'm saying the truth and nothing but the truth Juliana. Just trust me, I can prove to you that I'm the President of Prime Enterprise.” Sebastian got his old phone from his pocket.

He was trying to call the number of his Uncle, William Prime, before Juliana angrily dragged the phone from his hand. “Stop this Sebastian, cut it off. I think I'll need to take you to the doctor.”

Luis suddenly stood up from her seat, she went directly to Sebatian's seat with anger, she gave Sebastian a very hard slap. The whole family wasn't actually expecting Luis to react that way. 

“That's what you get, when you disrespect the manager of Prime Enterprise.

She then turned her attention to Juliana, and said at the top voice, “Do not take him to a doctor, just sign the divorce papers and accept Brian's proposal. This fool will do you no good!”

Brian was feeling too important and all big already, he then pointed at Sebastian, and said coldly, “Look here loser, as the manager of Prime Enterprise, do you know I can deal with you for impersonating the President of Prime Enterprise?”

“The only thing you can do is to lie, you're fortunate I can't prove to them that you're a liar.” Sebastian was feeling so pained, obviously from the slap he just got.

“Are you still talking you thing? We're disgusted by your existence.”

“How could we have such a person like you in this prestigious family….”

“You're such a big shame!”

Every member of the Nike family were so unhappy with Sebastian, they felt embarrassed by his words and his deeds. They had no atom of belief in Sebastian, but in Brian.

They could swear that Sebastian is not and can never be the President of Prime Enterprise. And just like that, the guilty himself has won the heart of the Nike family with his lies, and flown to be an hero.

Juliana was confused at the moment. She paused for a short while, and said calmly, “Sebatian, you don't need to elevate yourself falsely to be seen has important, Or to stop me from accepting Brian. Please, it would be nice you apologize to Brian so he won't charge you for impersonation.”

The love of his wife was always there, but defending him in front of her bewildered family was astonishing.

Even when Juliana asked Sebastian to apologize to Brian, Brian was still jealous seeing how she stood up for Sebatian and defended him.

Then Brian cleared his throat, and said coldly, “I won't accept any of his apologies, he must face the consequences of his actions.”

“Yes, let him face the punishment for falsely admitting that he is the President of Prime Enterprise.” Grandpa concurred. 

“He has humiliated us enough, especially Brian himself. He must apologize to Brian this moment!” Luis was still embittered.

“You better stand on your dirty feet and apologize appropriately to the manager of Prime Enterprise for the disrespect and for impersonating his President too.”

Just when everybody thought Sebastian would apologize, he stood up from his seat and said, “I won't apologize to Brian for saying the truth.”

Everybody became shocked, what boldness did Sebatian have to say such? How could he lie against Brian and call it the truth?

Brian at first didn't care about Sebatian's apology, but at this point, he became so frustrated and aggravated. He pushed his seat away like he was going to wrestle with Sebastian, then he said in an undertone, “You might have gotten some nerves poor man, but you had better apologize right now, or I'll call my men outside to throw you out of here.”

The Nike family were all waiting to see if Sebastian would succumb and tender an apology to Brian. There was a long silence…

“Guards! Guards!” Brian was already out of patience. The guards rushed in immediately. “Take this loser out of my sight now!”

The two guards were ready to pick Sebastian up immediately, and were edging closer to Sebatian. 

Suddenly, two of them stopped and gazed for a while astonishedly.

“What are you waiting for, take this thing out of my sight this moment!”

The guards wished they could, they really wished it was someone else. The guards whom Brian gave an order to throw Sebatian out, couldn't even dare to touch Sebastian.

“Have you guys seen a spirit? Why are you staring at him like you're seeing a spirit?” Brian couldn't understand his two trusted guards anymore, and why they couldn't lay their hands on Sebastian.

“We would have thrown another out boss, but this one, this one is…” The guards stammered, as they seek for befitting words to qualify Sebastian.

“Do you want to lose your jobs this very moment?”

Meanwhile, the entire Nike Family couldn't blink or scratch their eyes, as the unthinkable unfolds before their every eye. What they never thought would happen, is happening before them all.

A while ago, Sebastian would have proven to the entire family that he is truly the President of Prime Enterprise. However, he became thankful and happy that he did not.

But it didn't change the fact that one day, he will reveal himself to Brian, and to the entire Nike family. And that time too, it might be just too late for them to apologize.
