Chapter hundred fifty eight

Pa Pete was hesitant to begin the proceedings of the meeting and everyone on the table noticed, especially Chris who was just right beside him.

Sonya must have noticed too because she smiled and said mockingly, "Are your feet getting heavier for you, Pa Pete? Perhaps it's not just your grandson that needs replacing, you too might be getting a little too old for that seat."

Pete ignored her and looked at Christian who calmly nodded at him, a silent approval to commence the meeting. There was no need to wait, it wouldn't change the outcome of the meeting anyway.

The orbits were right behind Jupiter, all six of them stood like rods, stuff, unyielding, with their hands crossed. Pete looked at them scornfully and then cleared his throat a little too loud.

"Is there something you have to say? We don't have all day, Pete." Sonya said, her lips still bearing the same smile she'd exited the vehicle with that morning.
