Marcus threw the phone to the side, placing his head back on the chair. He didn’t say a word; it wasn’t what anyone would want to imagine. “Should I sink them?” Austin muttered; he was looking at his phone.

“You know, it’s one word, and I will make sure that the Forrest family will understand what role you played in their lives.”

Austin was looking at Marcus; his face held nothing like a grudge. “No, leave them.” Marcus didn't want anything that would make him even think of Lauren and her family.

“I will let fate handle her, and you know there is no way for her to walk away from it for long.” He had a calm face; it was like he had erased her from his mind.

Austin smiled; he turned to his phone. His brows raised when he looked at what was in front of him. “Well, if you were not going to do anything, then just know she is about to be hit hard by the Holt family; news spreads fast, even when the Prince  is no longer protecting them.”

Marcus rolled his eyes; he looked out the window. “I never liked that name; it itches.”

“So you like your other titles, oh great elusive one; which is it? Hidden Ace, or the Masked Emperor of Sintril.”

“I like neither of them.” Marcus quipped.

Austin chuckled; he looked down back to his phone. “Well, it doesn't matter what name you like. You protected them for too long; now they have to face the consequences. The Holts are one rowdy set of people in the underworld.”

“Don't worry, Lauren can handle it. After all, her deadweight is gone.” He said as he looked down at his phone again; this time he saw a message.

“Austin, can you take me to the clinic now?!”

Austin turned to the driver; he tapped him on the shoulder.  “The Clinic on the East of Sintril!”

The driver made a sharp turn as they zoomed off to the clinic. Austin turned to look at Marcus as he was fixated on his phone.  “I thought you should be getting ready for the party tonight; why the clinic?”

“Rose messaged me; I will have to deal with two things there.” Marcus put his phone into his pocket; slowly, he turned to Austin. “Don't worry, I will be fine. I can't let someone die in that clinic.”

Marcus was looking down at his watch, sighing. He looked back up, trying to brace his mind for what was waiting for him.

They got to the clinic, Marcus got down, and was about to head in.

Austin poked his head out to say something whilst smiling. “Are you sure you don't want me to handle the Forrest Corporation? You know I could.”

Marcus shot a deadly gaze; Austin’s words were cut off, and he didn’t say anything else. “See you at the party then.”

He said as his driver fired up the engine and drove off, bystanders were looking at them, and they were surprised to see Austin there with someone like Marcus.  “Wasn't that the infamous dancing dragon? What is he doing here with someone like this man?”

“Might be doing a favor for someone who knows.”

Marcus walked into the clinic; his eyes met those of a blonde lady standing by the door. “Sir, I am happy you came early.” She walked up to him, a worried expression on her face.

“Rose, please tell me what exactly happened.” Marcus asked, not stopping as they made their way into the operating room in the clinic.

“These people, they came and said that they wanted to heal their children. They had a problem; it was hard for any of us to even find out what was going on with them.”

Rose swallowed; she continued. “Mr. Johnson came in and administered a drug to them, and they got worse. He began saying that this clinic wasn't the best thing for them, and they should have been taken to a better hospital. He said, You are nothing but a fraud.”

Marcus smiled; they were at the door of the room. “Thank you, Rose, that was all I needed to know.”

He pushed the door open; he could see five people there, two beautiful ladies. One had a wolf cut with brown hair, while the other had long red hair.

There were two guards and then Mr. Johnson. “Oh, he’s here,” Johnson muttered. He rolled his eyes as he turned the other way.

Marcus didn't even say a word to the people there; he walked to the children on the stretcher. "Twins." Marcus said as he stretched his hand to examine them; one of the guards held him back.

“Who in the world do you think you are?” The guard said, looking at Marcus.

Marcus looked at the guard, and he could see the look on his face. “I am the one going to save the children in front of me if you could kindly let go of my hand.”

“What makes you think you can do it?” The girl with the brown haircut spoke up; her voice was uneasy and laced with worry.

Marcus turned to her.  “Johnson here said that they would be better off at a hospital.”

“True, they would.” Marcus smiled; he then turned back to the children. “That would be if they make it to the hospital alive. I know Johnson is a professional and all, but there are some things men like him can't see.”

“What do you mean, Marcus?” Johnson spoke up; he sounded angry about the words Marcus used. “I know what I am saying. Those kids would be better off with a real medical professional. That is not a sickness you can cure.”

The brown-haired girl turned to the other one. “Sister, can you hear it? I told you that this place was a bad idea, but you decided to follow Bubba's words and come here.”

The red-haired girl gave her sister a silencing stare. She then turned to Marcus. “Mr. Marcus, is it?”

“Yes, Ma’am.” Marcus smiled.

“Are you certain you can save them?” The red-haired girl was looking at Marcus with a determined look on her face.

“You have my word, and oh, if I do heal him, could you do me a favor and lock that idiot beside you up?” Marcus smiled.

Johnson was petrified; he turned to the red-haired lady.  “You have a deal, but if you fail and something happens to them, I will not spare you.”

Marcus smiled as he bowed his head. “You have my word.”

In the executive suite of Griffin Peak Hotel, Marcus could be seen getting ready for something. He wore a dashing blue suit; it was well fitted. He pulled out boots from a rack, a smile on his face. The doors of the suite opened, and Austin was seen standing there with a puzzled look on his face, dressed in a brown suit, two diamond earrings on, and a clearly priceless watch on his right hand.Marcus turned to look at Austin; he smiled when he saw him there. “Good to see you here.” He said he was happy to see him there that early. “You are one heck of a man.” Austin walked in, moving to the seat there as he sat down. “You saved a life yesterday, then decided to take a life hours later.”Austin balanced on the seat, looking at Marcus. “You managed to take Eizo off the map; what made you do it?” Marcus turned to look at his friend. “Filth like him shouldn't be allowed to be in the city; he ruins it with his nature.” Austin was smiling; he threw his head back with a smile. “You shoul

Marcus joined Claire in her own car as they were driving to the Prince family mansion. Marcus was oddly calm; it wasn't like him to just accept the date like that, but he kept a clear mind. “I wonder what made you not say a thing while I was working on your brothers.” Marcus broke the awkward silence. He was looking at Claire, trying to know what it was that made her even look at him like he was going to be able to do something about the poison when it wasn't even certain if he would be able to save them. Claire turned to Marcus, her facial expression changed, and she was smiling. “Well, one of the household matriarchs said that if you didn't know what was wrong with them, then there was bound to be no cure, and I have never seen her go wrong in my life, so I was going to make sure that I followed her words.” Marcus was surprised to hear all that, a warm smile on his face as he turned out the window. “I didn't know someone had that much faith in me.” He was at ease, trying to put h

Johnson couldn't move; he was looking at Marcus. He knew nothing was going to save him from what was coming his way. Claire walked closer to Johnson. Her expression was dark, and the rage in her eyes could be seen. “Mr. Johnson, I believe you can explain yourself?” Johnson was looking at them; it wasn't clear what he was expected to say, but then he turned to Marcus, and his anger boiled more. Marcus raised his brow, looking at the man in front of him; he wasn't in the mood to entertain rubbish. “I believe you were asked a question so I want to know why you thought it would be a good.” “It was because you took everything from me!” Johnson shot out; he was looking at Marcus with pure rage.“I am a medical student, with high majors and all the required documents, but then I am overshadowed by a genius who seems to work miracles!” Marcus was looking at Johnson; the correct set of words couldn't come out of his mouth at the moment. “I wanted to make sure that one patient would be r

Marcus turned to the children; his eyes were closed, almost like he was praying. His hands were by his side, no one knew what he was doing, but they could see that he was up to something. The moment he opened his eyes, they had a jade glow, but it was clear that no one could notice it. He turned to the boys in front of him and began the examination. His eyes went through their body suddenly, he paused when he spotted something on their neck, "Black veins."Marcus touched the vein, and he could feel that there was something off about the vein and the way it was on both their necks. "Since when did this get to Sintril?" Marcus could recognize what was making the children sick. He took a scalpel, and he made a small cut on both their arms. The brown-haired girl was uneasy watching them; she didn't know what Marcus was doing or how he was going to help the twins. “Sister, I don’t know how this man is going to be able to save them. He is acting like a madman.” She was looking at the

Marcus was looking at the workers; they were shocked to see that he wasn't even scared to touch someone who was an heir in Sintril. “I could have warned you to stop, but you wanted to show just how powerful your daddy’s money makes you.” Marcus cleaned his fists as he turned to walk away. The moment he turned, there were guards standing there with their stun guns ready to shoot. “Stand down!” One of them yelled. He was looking at Marcus, and he was sure that nothing was going to keep the man back from hurting anyone else. Marcus rolled his eyes as he looked at the men in front of him. He had an empty gaze on his face. “Why are all of you suddenly in the way?” He asked, his tone showed he was trying to keep it as civil as possible. “When he was embarrassing me, you didn't see it?” “We won't tell you again, stand down or?” “Or nothing would happen!” A voice came from the outside, and someone stepped into the building with a smile on his face. “Took you long enough.” Marcus h
