The Queen's Eyes.

The Queen's Eyes.

To get to Mount Sinai Hospital, Taylor ran. He had called her from the hospital, informing her that his sister Libby was ill. Libby's condition appeared critical, but there was no reason or diagnosis.

Taylor muttered, "The cost of staying here must be expensive," as she gazed at the building that represented the cutting-edge, contemporary Mount Sinai Hospital. Should we take Libby to a nearby medical facility?"

The Taylors were not wealthy. Robert McGill, Taylor's father, worked as a taxi driver for Online Jazz Enterprises, facing challenges due to the rarity of customers during tough times. Instead of opting for the expensive Mercedes-Benz E-Class, people preferred walking or taking the metro.

Robert found himself idle more often than driving, burdened with bills for electricity, water, and their modest apartment rent. A decade ago, Robert, a renowned entrepreneur in Accomont, was ousted from the McGill Company, leading to his separation from Sandra. Despite this, he devotedly cared for Taylor and Libby.

At 49, Robert managed the responsibilities, while 20-year-old Taylor worked as a cafe musician in addition to occasional unemployment. Libby, continuing her education, remained an integral part of the family.

When Taylor saw Libby laying there, pallid as paper, she paused in front of the hospital bed. Libby was still in the emergency room, which had a cloth barrier surrounding it, at that point. Her lungs were filled with the odor of medicine. I had an odd sense.

"This girl requires surgery right away. She will most likely die from the poison if this is not stopped. "It will end when she loses consciousness initially," a male resident physician said. His heart stopped and he gave Taylor a dramatic look.

"Can't hydrodialysis be done doctor?" Taylor questioned tensely.

"There's just one path. Operation!"

The sound of an ambulance sirening caused the hospital doctor to leave Taylor. After the resident doctor left, there were noises, and Taylor's head spun from the frantic yelling.

Reluctantly, Taylor stood in front of the desk of the administrative nurse.

"Patient name?" Her tone was sharp and forceful.

The blonde nurse cast a downward glance. She was staring at the camera phone that was in front of her. She wore long green cotton leggings and a short-sleeved top that were typical of hospital attire. She had no undergarments on. The hospital gown fit her perfectly, but her breasts gave off the impression that they were going to burst.

The girl and her lover were now having a video call. They appeared to be fighting. The nurse's heavily cosmetic eyes started to fill up with tears. The nurse's entire speech was unpleasant to hear because of the fight over the phone.

"Libby! Libby Mc Gill "Taylor made an effort to talk quietly.

The nurse idly moved her finger across the iPad to view Libby McGill's current condition.

Her eyes went wide for a moment as she saw Libby McGill's status. Then she said, making a phony face as though she was worried. "You must give a $10,000 down payment for treatment, which does not include surgical or physician bills. We regret to notify you that you will not be able to pay the deposit."

"What? Ten thousand dollars? When is the cutoff date for me to pay my brother's tuition in full?"

The nurse grinned and said, "No later than 7pm this afternoon!" Her lover had told her, "We've broken up," and she was attempting to seem nice to hide the tears that would rise up.

Confusion gripped Taylor, and he remained silent. A deposit of $10,000 was a significant sum of money for him and his economically disadvantaged family. "I'm sorry," he said, deciding to compromise. However, I've heard that Mount Sinai Hospital is a hospital that provides services to a house of worship. Are the impoverished people receiving any aid, or at least a discount?

The nurse's expression quickly became lifeless. Her eyes took on the appearance of an eagle. She was prepared to take hold of the frail chick lying on the ground and use her nails to rip it apart.

"Leave now! Do you consider this a social establishment? If everyone acts like you and begs? From whom will we receive our salaries? Instead, why not pay a visit to the area hospital? The nurse now got up and said, "I'm sure a poor person like you will get full service."

She girded her loins and gestured with the pen at Taylor. "Son, I'm telling you. Leave my eyes and take action. You can either sell yourself, beg, or take out a loan from a loan shark. You seem to be in good health and youth! You may do a lot of different things to get $10,000."

The nurse gasped after spitting hot lava out of her mouth. Perhaps she felt satisfied to let Taylor know how frustrated she was. However, she failed to consider Taylor's emotions, the hurt young guy.

"All right. I'll return and make the payment. Kindly provide my sister the finest treatment possible."

Taylor was shooed away by the nurse like a pest.

Sighing, Taylor saw the nurse's fury as her face darkened with the sudden loss of her romantic partner.

Taylor was fortunate enough to be hired as a waiter, a solo guitarist, and a solo vocalist at The Asian Hawks Bar despite not having a beautiful voice.

They don't get much assistance in living in Accomont. However, it was still preferable to being jobless. Taylor did not want to become one of the numerous impoverished youths who were involved in the widespread sex trade in Accomont City.

Taylor's expression brightened a moment after he left The Asian Hawks Bar.

Harvey, the bar's owner, lent him eight thousand dollars. Obviously, more was required. However, Taylor was content because she still had some bank savings.

Taylor was ready to go into the ATM room at the roadside ATM when she received a greeting.

She was a strangely dressed woman in her 50s or 60s, possibly even 60s. Her attire had an Asian flair. She had a flute-like melody to her voice.

"The Queen's eyes!" This is an artifact that will bring good fortune from a far-off region in the East! Not less than ten thousand dollars!"

Taylor's head began to spin.

She was hypnotized by the foreign woman's speech, and the enormous eye-carved stone appeared to be a ruby-red jewel to her.

Taylor gave the woman over 8,000 bucks without giving it any thought. "I'll withdraw the rest from the ATM machine."

When Tylor gave the stranger the last two thousand dollars, she was lost in thought. Taylor couldn't remember the woman's face for some reason. A fine mist of white appeared to be covering her.

"May the stars bless you!" Taylor was left alone when the woman vanished.

Walking, Taylor cursed himself. All that the so-called Queen's Eye Artifact was was a regular natural stone that had been chiseled into the shape of an eye. more if it was old, it might have been painted and carved to look more older.

"Damn it!"

Just as Taylor was going to discard the old stone, an odd voice started to speak to him.

[Greetings. The Queen's Eye System was employed by you. You have no level at all. The system is going to assign you a task. Check out the incredible events that are in store!"]

With astonished eyes, Taylor watched as the ancient stone vanished and merged into her hand. All that was left was a little tattoo—the Queen's Eye. What wonderful thing is in store for Taylor?
