"ISNS," Angela sputtered and wiped her chin before making a big show of looking for a towel and wiping the table before answering, "I… I don't know what you mean, Mr Hart."
She was fearful about the fact that an outsider was talking about their company's top-secret project; it made her worry about the gaps in her company.
Only a few people in the company knew about the project, so why had Benjamin just strolled in and casually asked about the project?
Alarms went off in her head.
ISNS stood for Integrated Software Nervous System, a groundbreaking code that was going to revolutionize healthcare if it turned out successful.
When the code was finished, it would all be implanted into a tiny system which would be surgically fixed to a human spine, and it would feed all the code into a human nervous system and then give the user superhuman qualities.
It was groundbreaking technology, a one-of-a-kind invention that was sure to shake the foundations of the tech industry and net hundreds of billions.
Glen Crest was currently responsible for writing the code. The project had been going on for a very long time; Angela had figured that it had probably been in the works for over thirty years, but her company had just gotten the project two years ago.
Before them, she could not tell what company had worked on the project; she did not even know what company had assigned the project to Glen Crest. The entire thing had been very cloak and dagger, leading her to speculate that they might be working for a government agency.
Sometimes it felt like she was in a spy movie.
Hearing an answer which he had expected, Benjamin got to his feet, looking disappointed.
He had known that the road to his goal would not be easy.
As he adjusted his suit and looked down at Angela's face. "Then I guess there is nothing further to discuss."
Angela thought about the billions a collaboration with Quinn Industries would bring to Glen Crest. Edward had told her that if she impressed Mr Hart, then their company could have their pick of projects.
Even though Glen Crest was a respectable company, it was still trying to scale up; if Quinn Industries helped, then they would be able to grow in a short amount of time.
"Wait, Mr Hart." She rose and said in resignation. "Let me tell you what I can."
"Everything involving ISNS has been done manually. We got the contract in the mail, and we have a gag order. I can't speak about it, but I can show you something."
Angela got up and headed to a wall which was fashioned into a wide bookshelf.
She pulled a ladder and climbed it and reached for the top, when she slipped and felt herself falling.
As she screamed, she imagined the impact on the hard floor, but instead she fell into a hard, warm body.
"Miss Glen, if you wanted me to hold you, all you needed to do was ask," Benjamin said teasingly.
Angela's face grew bright red, but she still did not make any move to step out of his hold, and Benjamin enjoyed how flustered she was.
With her lithe body, Angela fit in his arms as if she belonged there.
He straightened up and carried her across the room before placing her gently in her seat.
She cleared her throat, resisted the urge to fan her face, and pushed the book towards Benjamin. "This is all that I discovered by myself; I am not bound by the gag order on this."
Benjamin nodded and picked up the book. He stared at it for a long moment, then he leaned close to Angela so that their noses were mere inches apart.
"Do you want to be my date this Saturday?" He asked in a serious tone.
Angela stared at his handsome face, and her heart soared. When he had carried her, it had felt like she was a princess being carried by her prince charming.
And now he was asking her to be his date; she imagined how good the two of them would look together, and her blush deepened.
Angela was a serious girl who shouldered the burden of being a daughter in a family where male heirs were desired while females were seen as frivolous, their only use being their marriages into other wealthy families.
She hated that categorization, so she poured all her attention into work, doing her best to be seen as different.
She worked harder than her brothers and cousins because she wanted to prove herself to her grandfather so that she would be chosen as the first lady chairman of Glen Crest.
So she had very little experience with men, not because she was not beautiful but because she never gave anyone a chance.
Looking at Cameron's handsome face, she thought that it was a good time to lower her boundaries and spend time with this mysterious man.
Moreover, with him in her life, it would give her more validity in front of her family. It was unfortunate that it was a powerful man by her side, not the hard work she had done for so many years, that would make her family look at her more favourably.
"Yes, Mr Hart. I would love to be your date."

Very Important Person
"Mr Hart?" Angela whispered fearfully. The very important person she had been waiting for had been at her company's lobby, being mistreated by her own staff.Who knew what he would think of her? After saying his piece, Benjamin turned around to leave, but Angela ran to him and grabbed hold of his arm."Please, forgive my oversight, I should have waited at the door to receive you immediately I found out that you were coming." She cried. The guards and Barb were frozen by Angela's behaviour, and for a moment they did not know what to think or say, then Barb spoke."Miss Glen, you must be mistaken, Benjamin is no one important. Why are you apologizing to him?"Angela slowly turned around and glared at Barb, causing Barb to wilt like a plant that had not been watered in days."What did you just say?" Angela demanded."He… He is no one important, just my friend's ex. He has come to try to defraud you." Barb insisted, her voice shaky and no longer as confident as a couple of minutes ago."H

Debt
The man stood up and turned to her. He was tall, with graying hair at his temples and the kind of face that gave nothing away. His eyes were sharp and assessing, and Diana had the uncomfortable feeling that he was looking right through her."I am Edward Stone," he said, his voice measured and precise. "And I am here to discuss the removal of the Cook family from this premises."Diana's gaze swung from his face to her mother's, then to her sister's. The room felt suddenly too small, the walls closing in."What is this man talking about?" Diana asked weakly. "Why is he asking us to leave our house?"Her mother began to wail loudly, the sound piercing and desperate. Ariana's face had gone pale, and her aunt was fanning herself with a magazine as if she might faint.Edward stepped forward and handed Diana a thick folder of documents. "Before his death, Mr. Theo Cook took out multiple mortgages on this house. The payment was stopped this morning, and my client has decided to foreclose on t
The Courthouse II
It took a second for Diana to snap back to her senses, and she took a careful look at Benjamin in what looked like a custom-tailored suit and an Audemars Piguet wristwatch."I know it can't be easy for you," she said softly, "But you think it's tacky stealing someone's clothes just to impress your ex?""Why don't you mind your business?" Cameron shot back, then mimicked her mockingly. "Don't you think it's tacky to bring your ugly lover to your divorce proceedings?"Diana's face turned pale, and she opened her mouth to explain that there was nothing going on between her and Barry, but Benjamin interrupted her coldly."Mr Solicitor, where do I sign?"Benjamin finished with the signing and briskly walked away, not waiting to look at Diana. He headed towards the back of the courthouse because when the car had first approached the entrance, he realized that people were gather out front, waiting for him. That was where he had also noticed Barry, waiting for Diana no doubt.Diana was left s
