“T-the H-heavenly Dragon Card…” Boyd’s eyes widened instantly, his voice trembling unconsciously.
The surrounding crowd immediately exploded into chaos. They could not believe their eyes.
“What?!”
“That’s impossible!”
“The Heavenly Dragon Card?!”
Several people stared at the black gold card with burning eyes.
The Heavenly Dragon Card was the absolute symbol of supremacy within the Nine Dragons Group. In the entirety of Cloud City, only two people were publicly known to possess it.
One of the two holders was Isaac Rutherford, and the other was equally as powerful as Isaac Rutherford.
Anyone holding the Heavenly Dragon Card was definitely among the most powerful figures in Cloud City!
Cameron’s face was twisted, and it was unknown if it was from pain or shock, or maybe both.
Lisa’s eyes had turned bloodshot as her mind raced, and even Amelia’s eyes were filled with disbelief. She stared at the black gold card in Sebastian’s hand with shock flashing across her beautiful eyes.
She thought her eyes were playing tricks on her. Sebastian was just a lowly soldier. How could he possibly possess such a thing?
The magnificent lobby was silent, as all of them were stunned. However, Boyd suddenly narrowed his eyes. His shocked expression slowly disappeared, and he laughed coldly.
“How bold of you!” Boyd sneered as he pointed at Sebastian mockingly.
The atmosphere froze slightly as the crowd became confused.
“Manager Boyd, what do you mean?” Lisa asked, frowning in confusion.
“The Heavenly Dragon Card is a card that is personally issued by Mr. Rutherford himself.” Boyd pointed at Sebastian triumphantly.
“There are only two in existence in the entire city, and I know both owners. Yet, this man wants me to believe he owns one?”
“Look at him. He’s just a lowly soldier that doesn’t even have a rank.” His gaze swept over Sebastian’s ordinary military uniform disdainfully. “How can he possibly possess something so exclusive?”
There was a brief moment of silence, then the crowd became rowdy.
“That’s true!”
“How could a soldier possess such a card?”
“He must have forged it! How devious of him!”
“Hahaha! I almost got fooled by you!” Cameron burst into laughter again. He struggled to stand while clutching his aching knee. “You really dared to forge the Heavenly Dragon Card? You’re begging to be destroyed!”
The surrounding guests instantly looked at Sebastian with ridicule and contempt in their eyes. Their brief shock and awe from earlier had vanished completely.
“I knew something was wrong. How could a mere soldier like him know someone like Isaac Rutherford?” A woman in a luxurious fur coat snickered openly.
“This fool probably found a fake card online and thinks he can deceive us with it. How audacious of him!” Another man laughed mockingly.
“I already said he was nothing but a fraud.” Lisa crossed her arms, a satisfied smile playing on her lips. There was no way Sebastian was holding the real deal!
Amelia remained silent but sceptical.
For a brief second earlier, she had actually wondered if she had misunderstood Sebastian. Now, she felt ridiculous for even considering it.
“Hand over the fake card immediately.” Boyd ordered as he extended his palm coldly. “Forging the Heavenly Dragon Card is a serious crime, and I’ll make sure you regret trying to fool me for the rest of your miserable life.”
As he finished, several security guards instantly stepped forward aggressively. They looked extremely brutal and gave off a ferocious vibe. They seemed more like bloodthirsty soldiers instead of security guards.
However, when faced with their murderous aura, Sebastian remained completely unfazed.
He had seen mountains of corpses and rivers of blood. Their murderous aura was merely a joke to him.
“Is this how the Nine Dragons Pavilion conducts business?” His cold eyes landed on Boyd. “I’ve already shown you my card, yet you want to throw me out anyway."
"You didn’t even bother to confirm if my card is real or not. Are you sure you can bear the consequences of such actions?”
“What consequences? Are you still pretending?” Boyd sneered. “A very distinguished guest will be coming very soon, and I won't have someone as ignorant as you causing a scene when they get here.”
“Guards, throw him out right now!” Boyd ordered coldly.
The guards immediately moved to obey his order, but when they laid their eyes on Sebastian, they hesitated slightly.
For some reason, the coldness in Sebastian’s eyes made their hearts tighten unconsciously.
“What are you all waiting for?!” Cameron immediately roared angrily. “Throw this trash out!”
The guards gritted their teeth and prepared to move. However, at that exact moment, a phone suddenly rang throughout the silent lobby.
Sebastian calmly pulled out his phone and answered the call without even glancing at the caller ID.
“Yes?” His voice was calm and indifferent.
The crowd stared at him mockingly, thinking he was still trying to put on an act.
“You’re still pretending at a time like this?” Cameron sneered coldly. “Fine! Let’s see how long he can pretend for.”
Meanwhile, inside the luxurious top-floor office of the Rutherford Group, Isaac Rutherford personally held his phone nervously.
Behind him stood several executives with lowered heads, not daring to breathe loudly.
“Mr. Helios,” Isaac said respectfully, “have you arrived at the Nine Dragons Pavilion yet?”
“I have arrived, but it seems like your subordinates intend to throw me out.” Sebastian glanced coldly at Boyd and the others.

The rooftop lounge was quiet for a Saturday afternoon.Bright golden sunlight shone radiantly on the glass railing of the rooftop lounge of the prestigious Heavens Hotel, casting a warm glow on the elegant space.Potted winter jasmine bloomed softly in porcelain planters, their delicate fragrance mingling with the rich aroma of freshly brewed Keemun tea as soft classical music played softly in the background. The snow drifted gently across the manicured gardens as a gentle breeze carried the cold air more often than not.Amelia sat on a plush outdoor sofa, wrapped in a soft cream-coloured cashmere coat that hugged her elegant figure. Her platinum blonde hair was tied in a loose ponytail, a few strands dancing across her face in the light wind. She cradled a warm porcelain cup of keemun tea between her palms, letting the steam rise and brush against her cheeks.Across her, Lisa relaxed comfortably in a stylish wool sweater and high-waisted trousers, her legs crossed as she sipped her o

Chapter 39
Sebastian stepped out of the Lockwood Manor gates into the biting night air. The cold wind carried the faint scent of pine from the estate’s gardens, but it did little to cool the fury simmering in his blood. His handsome face was devoid of any warmth, and the teasing smile he had worn moments ago while speaking with Amelia had completely vanished, replaced by a chilling, bloodthirsty aura that made the surrounding atmosphere feel heavier and almost oppressive. He walked down the snowy pavements with steady, purposeful steps, his hands tucked into his pockets. The moment he was far enough from the manor gates, he pulled out his phone and dialled Isaac Rutherford directly.“Mr. Helios,” Isaac greeted respectfully the moment the phone call connected. “I take it you’ve received my text.”“Yes. Explain everything.” Sebastian replied, his tone cold and commanding.“Of course, my lord.” There was a rustle of papers on the other end, then Isaac’s voice returned.“After receiving your orders,

Catherine slammed both palms against the dining table and rose abruptly to her feet, her chair scraping harshly against the polished floor.“Absolutely not!” she snapped angrily. “My daughter will not marry that useless scoundrel!”Her finger pointed accusingly toward Sebastian. "This bastard has no status, no career, and no future! What right does he have to marry Amelia?!”“Catherine!” Henry roared thunderously. He tried to remain calm and maintain his composure, but his voice was still filled with disbelief.“Dad, why are you trying to hand Amelia over to someone like Sebastian?” George glared at him as he continued speaking.“He has absolutely nothing to offer and is clearly here to leech off the Lockwood family!”Henry’s knu
Chapter 37
Henry Lockwood was dressed in a black silk robe embroidered with subtle silver threading. He leaned lightly on his cane, the polished ebony handle still smooth notwithstanding the long years of use. Despite his age, his back remained straight, and his cold blue eyes swept across the room with the kind of authority that didn't need to announce itself. The moment he saw Sebastian, his eyes lit up with joy. He strode forward enthusiastically and patted Sebastian on the shoulder. "Sebastian, my boy! You’re finally here.” Henry was all smiles as he greeted him warmly. “It’s a pleasure to see you.” Sebastian expertly hid his dissatisfaction at Amelia’s parents and smiled back at Henry. He wouldn’t lower himself to their level, but he was beginning to question the character of the Lockwood family. “The pleasure is all mine, Henry," Sebastian replied politely. “Nonsense.” Henry waved him off gently. “Since everyone is here, let’s have our lunch like a proper family.” Henry’s ar

Amelia froze, and for a few seconds she simply stared at him, her mind struggling to process his words. The Black Dragon floor of the Nine Dragons Pavilion? The most luxurious hotel in Cloud City? She stared at Sebastian for a few more seconds before suddenly laughing. “Yeah, right," she scoffed. “And I own a mansion in Celestia Hills.” “Celestia Hills? Where’s that?” Sebastian asked curiously. “You don’t know?” Amelia looked at him exasperatedly, then remembered that her fiancé just arrived in Cloud City a few days ago. It was normal for him to not know. “Celestia Hills is the most exclusive residential district in Cloud City.” “It’s the kind of place where money alone isn’t enough to gain entry. Even if one possessed hundreds of millions of dollars, you still need status and connections to set foot there.” Amelia explained. “Ohh, I see.” Sebastian nodded his head. “Wait, why am I even telling you about this? People of your status can never step foot there.” Amelia scoffed a
