Cassiel sat in his office leaning against the chair before he leaned forward, hands hovering over the laptop, he had his glasses on, there was a clean black interface, a few encrypted lines and a single transfer confirmation waiting to be approved.

His eyes moved over the details on the screen.

Recipient : Saint Mercy General Hospital.

Amount: $50,000,000.00

Purpose : Unrestricted Medical use.

Status : Pending approval.

His fingers moved across the keyboard, entering the final authorization code, a few seconds later the screen changed.

Status: Successful.

He picked up his phone and called someone.

" Have it sent before tomorrow morning." He said.

" Yes sir." And the line went dead.

By morning, the hospital board would be in shock. The director would be staring at the transfer confirmation, the finance team would be checking the account twice and everyone would be left wondering which benefactor had just saved the institution.

By noon he called Darcy through the intercom in his office.

"I'm leaving the office now, I have some here to go." He said. Then he left the office and stopped by the mall and got a bunch of toys and books and snacks and carried it all to the counter.

" Here you go." He said and handed the receptionist his card.

" Here you go sir, thank you for shopping with us." She beamed at him and handed him his card and receipt and stared at him rather curiously, he had a face mask on.

" Uh Gary please come help this man carry his stuff." A second later an older man appeared by the counter and helped Cassiel carry the things to the car because they were quite a lot. He thanked the man and drove off.

He maneuvered through the city until he got to a more quiet neighborhood, the place looked clean and didn't have the stain of the city. His eyes followed the familiar route of the road. Twenty minutes later, the car came to a stop before an iron gate.

A sign hung above it. St. Louis Children's Home.

The paint looked shiny and the walls had little children's hand prints on them, he could hear the laughter of kids beyond the walls.

He stepped out of the and put the face mask in his pocket and opened the boot taking some items with and closing the boot back, he headed for the gate, as soon as he stepped into the gate, a little girl spotted him.

"Brother Cass!"

Her excited scream echoed across the courtyard. Within seconds, half a dozen children abandoned their games and sprinted towards him.

"Brother Cass is here!"

"You finally came!"

"You promised you'll play games with us!"

"Yeah football and dressup!" Another one chimed.

Tiny hands grabbed his sleeves while another wrapped both arms around his waist.

Cassiel let out a laugh, carefully ruffling the nearest boy's hair.

"I was only gone for a week." He said while beaming brightly.

"It felt like forever!" One of them complained.

"So dramatic. "

The children erupted in laughter.

An elderly woman stepped out from the main building, wiping her hands on the apron. Her white hair was tied neatly behind her head and deep lines framed a face that had spent a lifetime smiling through hardship.

"You didn't call me to tell me you were coming today."

Cassiel looked up.

" Good to see you, Dorathy."

" And you're spoiling them again."

"It hasn't spoiled them enough." He paused. "I need help with the boot."

"Frank was supposed to be here a second ago," she muttered. "Frank!"

And a second later a man came bolting through the building.

"I'm here woman, Ohh my boyy, I can guess you need help with the boot." He strode forward, heading for the car packed outside and together they brought the entire thing inside.

Then the kids lined up to get their own stuff.

"What did you say you wanted again little Ricky?" Cassiel asked the boy that stood in front of him.

"Uh a spiderman Lego set? "

He fished something from behind him and handed it to the boy. "Tada!"

" Yay, thank you brother Cass." And he left the line and one by one each person got their toys.

Only one thing was left. He scanned his eyes through the area like he was looking for someone.

"Where is my boy?" He asked Dorathy.

"O I think he's inside his room, you know how he likes being on his own." She said,

"Reminds me of you when you were just this small." She demonstrated with her hands.

He smiled. " I'll go look for him, I'll come to your office after that, I have something to discuss with you."

He left her and went inside the building, going up the stairs and turned to the left and knocked on the fourth room after the turn and entered the room.

A boy with five junky cornrows sat on a bed playing with a rubix.

"Won't even look up to see who it is?" Cassiel said.

The boy's head darted up and huge green piercing eyes stared at him surprise. Before bolting from the bed and hugging Cassiel.

"Cassiel!"

"Yes my boy."

They settled down on his bed.

"Well I got you a little something El ."

"What's that? "

"Well the book you asked for." He gave him the book and also a toy.

"Thank you. "

"Mmm now let's have a little chat."

After he was done talking he headed straight to Dorathy's office.

"Have a seat."

"Thanks."

"So what is it you wanted to talk about?"

He brought out something from his pocket and slipped it to the desk.

"I want us to have an honest conversation....”

Blood drained from her face as she set her eyes on what he brought over to her side .
