At the Gravesend Mansion

The dimly lit study in the Gravesend manor seemed to be quite, too quite. after the death of Baron Gravesend, the family have been mourning and all their forces were out to find the killer responsible for this.

A man stood near the tall window, the purple-black sky creeping in through the glass, framing him in a silhouette of power and danger.

He turned away from the view and walked back toward his men — a small group dressed in black suits, well-armed, well-trained — waiting quietly for his orders.

“Send a message.”

He paused for a moment, letting the silence weigh heavy in the room.

“Send it directly to the Killer.”

The soldiers exchanged glances, unsure if this was a bold move or pure madness.

“The Killer, sir?” a young man asked quietly, his knuckles white on his holstered pistol.

“The… one who… took Baron’s life?”

The man nodded, unfazed by their nervousness.

“Exactly. The man who made a mess of this family. The man who thinks we’re weak… vulnerable.”

Jaden turned back toward Peter, letting silence weigh heavy in the chilly air. His piercing gaze fell upon him — not in rage, but in icy resolve — as if marking him, choosing him, framing him to carry a message that words could not convey.“Your adopted father thinks this is a joke… a minor matter… something a piece of black card can resolve.” Jaden’s voice was firm and gravelly, a king’s sentence upon a traitor. “It’s time I show him just how serious this is.”He raised his hand, and without a word, Drax stepped forward from the shadows. His large hands presented a katana — a blade forged in the finest steel, a shimmering curve of death itself. Jaden grasped it casually, letting the metal glimmer under the dim glow of the heavens.Peter’s knees trembled beneath him. His face turned ashen, lips quivering. “N… no… King… please… please… I beg you… please, spare me… please… please...” His voice faltered into a desperate whine.Jaden remained silent. His grip tightened on the hilt. Then —

Meanwhile, back at the cliff — the icy sea breeze whipped against their skin, tugging at their clothes and hair. The first rays of the sun were already glimmering across the horizon, casting a bloody orange glow upon the dramatic scene.Peter knelt on the gravel, phone in hand, knuckles white against its casing. His whole arm trembled, not from the chilly air but from pure fear. His breath was heavy and staggered as he pressed the phone against his ear.“Butler… please… please listen to me… you… you don't know who these people are.” His voice faltered, threatening to break. “They’re not… not ordinary people. They’re… they're ruthless. They’re… monsters in human skin!”The butler remained unfazed on the other side of the phone. “Master Peter, please calm down. Whatever trouble you’re in, we will resolve it. The Gravesend family is the most powerful in Ravensmoor. There’s nothing we can’t handle once you’re safely back in the city.”Peter’s grip tightened. His knuckles were nearly bone

Jaden smirked. "So you want redemption? since you're not their biological child I'll give you a chance."Jaden pressed his phone against the side of his face, a mischievous spark glimmering in his piercing eyes.“Here’s your chance at redemption, Peter.”Peter nodded weakly, nearly trembling as much from fear as from anticipation. His hands were shaky, knuckles white against the gravel beneath him.Jaden tossed the phone toward him casually — a small black rectangle spinning through the air — and it fell into Peter’s hands with a soft thud.“Call him. Call your… ‘father’.”Peter swallowed hard. His thumb hovered over the phone’s touchscreen. His pulse pounded in his ears. For a moment, silence fell — the kind of oppressive silence that seemed to squeeze the soul. Then, with a shaky breath, Peter pressed the call button.Meanwhile, back in the sprawling Gravesend Mansion — a place filled with rich carpets, dark wooden furniture, and a heavy, oppressive atmosphere — the 35th anniversary

At Sunrise — At the Edge of a Cliff Overlooking the SeaThe first rays of the sun glimmered across the restless waters below, casting a shimmering path of gold on the surface of the sea. The air was thick with the smell of brine and danger, a piercing chill riding the morning breeze.Drax's jeep came to a gravelly halt just a few feet from the cliff's edge. The wheels skidded briefly, kicking up a small cloud of sand and pebbles. Without ceremony, Drax hopped down from the driver's side and walked back to the rear, where a large, lumpy sack was tied down with heavy leather belts. He undid the belts in a few decisive movements, grabbed the bottom of the sack, and upended it.Peter fell forward with a sickening thud, his shoulder striking the gravel first, then his face. His hands were bound, his body weak from having been kept in the bag. He tried to raise himself on shaky arms, letting sand trickle through his knuckles, trying to gather whatever dignity remained.Jaden remained unfaze
