9. Lucky Strike [II]

"Damn it, the boss got killed!"

"Saw someone take him down."

The players were furious. The instant the white light signaling their return to town disappeared, they unleashed a barrage of spells, all of which missed their mark. They were driven to madness.

These players were members of the Holy Gods' Clan. They had been leveling up on the third floor of the Dark Palace when they heard that a boss was spawning on the second floor, so they all left the third floor to fight the boss. Meanwhile, another team was leveling up on the second floor—the later-stage elite guild, War God Alliance.

The War God Alliance is still in its infancy, and the guild has not yet been established. However, it already had quite a few members, all of whom were around level 17. Their equipment was also just average, since it was the early stage of the game and few people have top-notch equipment.

A level 20 blue-named boss spawned on the second floor, which thrilled the players of the War God Alliance, who all swarmed to attack it. However, just as the battle was in full swing, players from the Holy Gods Clan appeared.

The two sides were irreconcilable enemies. Before even defeating the boss, a group battle ensued. Countless casualties ensued, and in the end, not only was the boss not defeated, but the entire army was wiped out.

The Holy Gods' Clan, of course, were not giving up. After returning to the city, they regrouped and rushed back, only to find that the boss had already been killed by a newbie.

After returning to the city, Ryan immediately sent a voice message to Teagan. "Teagan, where are you?"

"On my way, I'll head back soon." Teagan had bought a bunch of blue and red potions, and was almost out of money. He was on his way to the dark cave when Ryan called out to him.

"You died too?" Teagan was shocked. He was really afraid that Ryan might have come back dead, which would mean losing both money and lives in the process.

However, he and Teagan needed gold coins to buy potions while leveling up, so it was best not to exchange them for now, lest they run out of money to cross the river later.

Undoubtedly, this was specifically designed for Teagan, a destruction-focused warlock.

Next up was a top.

Dark Night Robe [Blue Quality - Cloth Armor]

Restricted classes: Mage, Warlock, Priest

Spirit +10

Additional: Reduces physical damage by 10%.

Finally, there was a blue skill book.

Heavenly Fire [Blue skill book: Summons a meteor shower of heavenly fire to attack the enemy using all of the user's mana; damage range 20 yards]

Level required: 20

Restricted Class: Elemental Mage

Ryan and Teagan stared in disbelief for a long time. All of these items were top-quality, especially the skill book, which they estimated could fetch an astronomical price.

"Take the scepter and cloth armor. We keep the rest to sell for money." With that, Ryan gave the Heaven-Destroying scepter and the Dark Night Robe to Teagan.

Teagan didn't stand on formalities. He and Ryan were already best friends, so there was no need for formalities. He immediately took the weapon and put it away, grinning from ear to ear. He laughed and said, "I'm rich! As long as a Destruction Warlock has a good weapon, it doesn't matter if the rest of the equipment is trash."

"This time it wasn't a wasted effort, so I'll give you half of the gold coins." Ryan then gave Teagan half of the gold coins.

"Ryan, you should delete your account."

"What?" Ryan was stunned, thinking, why would you make me delete my account when I couldn't make another one?

"If you train to be a mage, you won't need to sell these two mage items. I guarantee you'll be more powerful than any mage in the future." Teagan came up with another bad idea, but this one was particularly malicious.

"Get lost. Why don't you delete your account? Do you know it's impossible to create another account? Wouldn't all ten days of my life be wasted?"

"Hehe...just kidding. I must say, you're pretty good, you actually killed the boss all by yourself."

"It was just pure luck."

"You little newbie, I underestimated you a bit before." Teagan began to admire Ryan, and punched him hard on the shoulder twice.

The two chatted and laughed as they went to the warehouse. After storing their things, they realized it was almost seven o'clock, so they logged off to rest and agreed to meet again when they synchronized their consciousness in the evening.
