Bryce entered his father’s office, taking a light shock.

He looked around, feeling that something was wrong.

His father’s desk remained intact.

Bryce approached, touched Edmund’s computer monitor, and felt it was cold.

Where was Tiffany?

“Interesting. Did she also miss today?”

Before Bryce could continue speaking, his phone rang.

Bryce answered, seeing who it was. He placed the lunch bag on his desk.

“Hello, Matt.”

On the other end, Matthew was in his office, unaware that Patricia was just a few meters away, challenging his father.

“Hello, Bryce. I need you to do me a favor.”

“Tell me.”

“Did you remember the band that played at the first cultural presentation I directed?” Matthew smiled, remembering them.

“‘Nouveau Riches’? What’s wrong with them?” Bryce frowned.

“Can you fit them into some of the dates that became available after Vicente’s concerts were canceled?” Matthew asked, leaning back in his chair and looking at his computer.

“Yes, I can. Have their agent come speak with me —

Nathan appeared at the Alvares Family House. Gustavo was sprawled on the sofa, watching TV. Outside, Nathan found the living room window open and heard the sound of a Western movie, one of those recorded directly for TV. Instead of knocking on the door, Nathan approached the window and stuck his head in, seeing his older half-brother amused and laughing at a horseback chase scene. “Hey, big brother!” “OW! What does that mean?” Gustavo jumped on the sofa, looking startled at the window. Nathan was also taken aback. Gustavo seemed way too tense. From Nathan’s view, Gustavo was behind the sofa, only seeing him shirtless, leaning on one arm. “I just came to visit you guys. I have good news,” Nathan replied with a suspicious look. “Wait at the door, I’ll open it.” Gustavo grabbed the remote and turned off the TV. Nathan didn’t understand but went to the door. He wasn’t going to climb through the window, right? However, Nathan sensed Gustavo was taking too long... Then he underst

  • Chapter 1095 Andreia’s Act of Kindness

“Let me see if I understood.” Jackson rubbed the bridge of his nose. “The photographer showed up at the right place, at the right time, took a photo, and instead of sending it to all the newspapers and gossip columns, he sent it to Matt?” “That’s what he said, but Matt scheduled a meeting with him today to confront him.” Elaine sat at the desk. “Oh, his name is João Pedro de Paula, a relative of the doctor treating that lunatic Ron.” Jackson looked at Elaine with hostility. Even though he no longer liked Ronaldo, he didn’t dare mock his psychiatric condition. “I’m going to check this with Matt,” he declared. “Meanwhile, stay away from my mother. You’re no longer her agent, but even if you were, only talk to her about books, understood?” “Understood, though I don’t believe you have anything to say or that you can stop me from questioning your treacherous sister.” Elaine dropped the mask of indifference, glaring at Jackson with equal disdain. Jackson didn’t bother anymore and left,

  • Chapter 1094 Bella and Jorge Arrange a Date

After Bella released the hug, she commented gracefully, “Okay, now the assistant here needs to work.” “And I need to handle some matters. Excuse me. Mr. Nunes, once again, thank you very much for the space.” Nathan extended his hand to Jorge. “You’re welcome, buddy.” Jorge and Nathan shook hands. Nathan left, closing the door. Jorge took the opportunity to talk with Bella. “So... now the hugs are purely fraternal, huh?” Bella wasn’t sure whether to smile or feel offended. “Look, Jorge, I’d appreciate it if you didn’t bring that up. Remember, it was painful to find out I slept with my half-brother without knowing,” Bella finally replied. Jorge gesticulated. “Alright, I went too far. I’m glad you’re not going to the other extreme: avoiding any contact with Nathan.” Bella shook her head. “No, I have a strong mind. He needs someone right now, and I saw he’s more comfortable with me. If I turn my back on him, I think he’d freak out.” Jorge held Bella’s hands. “Okay. What are you g

  • Chapter 1093 No Scandals in the Lobby

Vanda entered the Golden Letters building wearing sunglasses and a reserved posture. If she used to be outgoing, now she was trying to be discreet, aware that the public is eager for rumors and gossip. However, as she walked through the lobby, Nayla and Kirk were like mischievous siblings, curious and ready to block Vanda’s path if necessary. “Good morning,” She greeted them cautiously. “Is that all you have to say to us, ‘good morning’?” Nayla asked with slight indignation. Vanda took off her sunglasses, not understanding the question. “Why are you bothered by my greeting?” “We expected you to vent to us,” Kirk replied, genuinely concerned. Vanda softened her annoyed expression. “I am fine. The problem is my daughter. She loved her fiancé, you understand?” “Cindy Cardoso’s story didn’t leave much room for speculation.” Nayla didn’t comment; she was complaining. “And that’s exactly what Cindy wanted. Besides, we don’t think it’s right to uncover those ignominious details.” Van

  • Chapter 1092 Another Detail

At Silva Oil Company, Leonardo reacted very offended when Gustavo asked about Ronaldo’s whereabouts. “Gustavo Alvares, I think you’re exaggerating here. Do you really care?” Gustavo reacted offended — or at least pretended to be. “What does that mean? I only asked out of concern. My father down there told me a chair flew from upstairs, and now I see the window being repaired.” “Thank God, the chair didn’t hit your father’s head,” Leonardo said sternly. “But you shouldn’t worry about more details of the matter.” Leonardo pointed to the flashy visitor badge pinned to Gustavo’s shirt. “Yes, I understand. I’m just the visitor here. Okay, since my presence is no longer required...” Gustavo made to leave but stopped and asked, “One more thing: the guys downstairs are pretty nervous about their muse. Will Patty Borges keep working here?” “That depends on Patty herself,” Leonardo responded with a furrowed brow. “Oh, yes... no one wants to lose sight of Miss Borges,” Gustavo joked. Leo

I needed to see you before I leave.”Nathan stepped closer to her. “Leave? Are you going on a trip?”“Yes, it’s necessary,” Andreia nodded. “But I wanted to say goodbye properly.”Nathan gave a slight smile. “Everything I said here was the truth. I don’t blame you, Miss Sterling, for what happened. You did what you had to do, given the chaos your husband caused.”“Thank God, that’s all in the past now.
