There was a moment of silence at first like everyone understood the gravity of those words.
Then the trio’s laughter came first. Brandon, Kyle, and Marcus exchanged smirks.
“You think you’re scary?” Brandon sneered, voice dripping with so much arrogance.
“Seems you don't know who we are, cause if you do, you would not be making such treats.
My father runs half the city’s investments. Kyle’s dad chairs the largest conglomerate downtown. Marcus’s family? Let’s not even start. You’re just an old man in a suit. Step aside before we teach you manners.”
Aiden's posture didn’t change. If anything, he leaned just slightly forward, the movement almost imperceptible, but enough to make the air tighten around him.
“Is that supposed to intimidate me?” His voice was soft, deliberate, but there was an undercurrent in it like a whip waiting to crack. “Names, money, influence. That is all you have?”
"For someone so over-pampered and spoiled, I was expecting more."
The trio laughed, nervously at first, then with overconfidence. They had never known a man who did not fear their families. They had never met someone whose gaze did not falter under their shadow.
"Such audacity to speak to them in such a manner!" The crowd murmured.
"I sincerely feel that he doesn't know who they are, he must be new in the city."
"Or maybe he has a death wish!" Another member of the crowd added.
"Either way, we already know how this is going to end, of course with Grandpa getting hurt."
The crowd watched in anticipation and heightened tension as the drama unfolded right before their eyes.
"Since you wish to die so early, we're definitely going to grant you your wish. After all we were taught to obey elders."They resounded.
"No, you're the one that seems to have a death wish and if I have to repeat myself again, that wish would definitely be fulfilled."
The trio busts out into cold laughter almost instantly.
"Let's see how you're going to do that! Break his bones!" Brandon ordered the officers.
But before they could make a move, cold and bulky men dropped down from the car, their looks alone intimidating the training of the officers and fear crept into the dark cold corners of their spine.
Their expressions were enough to freeze the air and instill fear into the heart of everyone that was around.
"For everything that happens here, the blame is on you!" He repeated.
Everyone stepped backwards, frightened to their bones. Even the officers had sweat dripping from their faces as they attempted to carefully drop Ethan on the floor and avoid trouble.
"What do you think you're doing?" Brandon frowned, lashing out of the officers with rage.
But the officers said nothing, their eyes focused on Aiden. They knew when something was bigger than them and this man was, they were not stupid enough to get into any troubles with him.
"We are sorry for dragging ourselves into this. We were only trying to do our job!"
"What do you think you're doing, pathetic fool!" Kyle sounded with anger and fear mixed into their voice.
"Saving our lives!" They responded and took to their heels.
The trio were alone. The sight of these men with the scent of death causing their blood to run ice cold.
Brandon laughed, shakily, trying to recover, pushing his pride forward.
"You wouldn't dare to touch us! You don't know who our families are..."
Aiden’s hand shot out in a blur. He slapped Brandon across the face, hard, precise, and merciless. The crack echoed like a gunshot. Brandon’s head snapped to the side, stunned, and silence rippled through the crowd.
Kyle opened his mouth, but Aiden’s eyes had already locked onto him. The second slap came faster, sharper. The sound echoed again. Kyle’s smug laughter died in his throat. The crowd’s whispers rose in astonishment.
Marcus didn’t get a chance to react. Aiden’s hand moved like lightning—slap, jab, a flick of the wrist that sent him sprawling against the railing. Pain and humiliation registered on Marcus’s face instantly. He tried to rise, but Aiden’s presence alone pinned him with fear.
The crowd at the bus stop, once frozen, now whispered rapidly. Phones rose to capture the scene. The trio’s arrogant faces turned red, mixed with disbelief, fear, and raw humiliation.
No punches were thrown, yet every move from Aiden spoke of authority and lethal precision. The trio’s confidence collapsed completely. The titles, the money, the family names—they meant nothing.
“Stop!” Brandon finally shouted, voice cracking. “Security! Bodyguards! Someone—”
"My family, they will find you. Stop now for a less painful death!"
"Maybe I am expecting their visitation. We have a long feud to be cleared!"
Aiden turned to the guards, ordering them with just a flicker of his fingers.
Slaps were heard, loud pleading yells followed after, until they barely had strength to spill another word and their faces were severely battered.
"Throw them out. That's a lesson for anyone that tries to ever come close to The Prince and hurt him in any way."
They were gone and the place fell almost silent.
Then, finally, he turned toward Ethan. His expression softened, but there was still an unmistakable steel beneath the calm.
"Who... Who are you!" Ethan's voice broke into a stutter.
"Prince Ethan Collard. Come with me and soon, you will understand everything!" He explained, the words causing Ethan's being to jolt.

Silence pressed on the hall like a heavy fog.A few moments later, Damien perked up. “Ah! My uncle is calling,” he announced loudly, trying to sound in control. He held the phone up, pressing the speaker button. “He’ll clear this mess and we will all know who's the boss here. Let everyone hear it.” The hall quieted further. Phones lowered. Whispers ceased. Even the guards straightened. Damien’s arrogance radiated off him, like he had already won. Then the voice came. Thick, booming, cutting across the hall.“What have you done Damien, why have you offended someone that's bigger than all of us this time?" He thundered and Damien's face instantly drained off colour."How many times have I warned you to stay clear of trouble that is bigger than you, do you intend for the family to sink!" Un

The moment Lena’s voice rang out in the ballroom, every conversation died at once. Dozens of heads turned in the same direction, following her gaze. The soft music from the speakers felt suddenly out of place as silence swallowed the room.Ethan stood at the edge of the hall, half in shadow, half under the bright chandelier lights. He hadn’t taken another step forward since Lena called his name.
