"Hurt? Starve?" Charles scratched his head, "why would we even do that to you Chris?"

Christian laughed bitterly as he said calmly, “Because that's what the Adams family did to me, and as long as you don't mistreat me, I'll go with you!”

The room was filled with deadly silence, the weight of Christian’s words crashing over them like a heavy blow which they never expected.

Lilliana and, Betty immediately embraced him, tears streaming down their faces imagining the pain their precious nephew has gone through.

"Oh, sweetheart, no, nothing like that will happen," Lilliana said, with a trembling voice. "We could never hurt you, you’re the son of our precious baby sister, as we said earlier, you're our family, we could never even imagine seeing you hurt."

Betty added holding Christian's hand in her's, "We will give you a beautiful home to live in, Chris, you’ll never have to worry about food or being hurt again, you can have all the delicacies in the world, mom makes the best food."
