Chapter 1
MOM, IS THAT YOU?
"Give me your necklace, you swine!" Ivan's eyes fixed on the necklace around Christian's neck, "My girlfriend is obsessed with finding one like that and I hate to disappoint her, so just give it to me!"
Instinctively, Christian's fingers ran to the smooth edges of the silver necklace, a delicate piece with swirling patterns showed its uniqueness. A few years ago, his mother suddenly disappeared, leaving Christian with only a necklace and a note, "It will always protect you, Chris!" After investigation, the police announced that his mother was dead. Christian tightened his grip on the necklace protectively. "Of course," he thought bitterly. "Everything that is important to me will always be important to Ivan, so that he can steal it from me." But he kept his voice calm. "I can't give this to you, Ivan, it's something my mother left me, so I can't let it go." "Do you think someone like you can say no to me?" Ivan crossed his arms with a sneer, Christian knows very well about his position in this house. Around 18 years ago, his mother lost her memory and forgot who she was, when she wandering on the street, she met Morris, Christian's father. He was attracted by his mother's beauty and married her. However, after the death of his mother he became an orphan, although he has a father, still he is no less than an orphan within his house, since his so-called father is so busy with his new wife and their son Ivan. Only after his mother's death did his father's affair come to light, revealing to everyone that Mr. Morris Adams has had a secret wife and an illegitimate son for so long. For Christian, life in his own home became a hell, but he accepted his fate, "I know I can't say no, but this belongs to my mom, so I can't give up! "You think I care about your dead mom's junk if not because of my girlfriend being interested in it?" He scoffed, pressing his finger on the necklace, "I'm asking you one last time Chris, are you going to give it to me or not?" "No," Christian shook his head firmly, holding on to the necklace. Ivan was angry, he punched Christian in the face and tried to grab the necklace from Chris's neck. Christian was nearly strangled, still he tried to fight against Ivan, but he was too weak to resist his fat and strong brother. However, suddenly, an accident happened, Ivan slipped and fell down the stairs. Christian's eyes widened in shock as he watched Ivan fall down from the stairs. Ivan was very angry, he wanted to stand up and teach Christian a lesson. However, Morris' voice came from the other side. "Ivan, what happened?" Ivan suddenly showed an evil smile, and he had a better idea than making a scene. He closed his eyes and pretended to faint! "Here we go again!" Christian smiled bitterly. This was Ivan's favorite way. He would beat himself up first and then tell his father, Morris, that Christian was bullying him. In this way, Morris will punish Christian again. He knew his father would not believe anything he said, but he still walked to the end of the stairs, where Ivan was lying, pretending to faint. "Ivan!" Morris's voice echoed in the hallway, and Christian felt the ground under him stumble, as his father and Teresa, Ivan’s mother, appeared at the spot. Morris’s face was full of anger noticing Ivan laying on the floor unconscious, he immediately thought Christian is the culprit, while Teresa’s hand flew to her mouth in exaggerated shock, "oh my God! Ivan, my baby!" "What did you do to him?" Morris roared, his voice literally passed a shiver down Christian's spine, "you bastard what the hell you've done to my precious son?" Christian looked at Morris stubbornly. He knew Morris wouldn't believe him, but he still defended himself. "Ivan didn't faint at all! He fell down trying to grab my necklace, and I didn't push him! He..." "Don’t lie to me! You disgusting rouge!" Morris’s face twisted in disgust, as he slapped Christian hard across the face, sending a sharp sting through his cheek. Christian stepped back, as the harsh slap made his vision blurred and the corner of his lips started bleeding. "Morris, what do we do?" Teresa cried, holding her son's unconscious body and cried, "My poor Ivan, your son is trying to kill him out of jealousy, I and my son don't have any respect or safety in this damn house!” Christian touched his beaten face, expressionless. He had gotten used to it in the past few years. Now, he was completely disappointed with his father. No matter how he explained, he would not believe it. He only had Ivan in his eyes. Christian looked at Morris calmly and said, "Ivan is so strong compared to me, I'm weak and thin, what can I even do to him with this weak body of mine?" Morris slapped him once again, "shut up you rascal! I shouldn't have let you stay in this house after her death, you're a jinx, how dare you harm my son?" Christian stood silently, Teressa looked at him with venomous glare, "you should've died along with your mother, because of you my son is in this condition! If anything happens to my son, I'll kill you!" Morris turned to Christian, with a cold gaze, "You’re a disgrace to this house, I'm taking Ivan to the hospital, you’ll stay in the attic until I get back, you’d better think about what you’ve done and repent for your wrongdoings." "I didn't do anything, he fell down himself, why can't you understand this?" Christian tried to protest, but his father was unmoved, and just worried about Ivan, "butler, ask the driver to prepare the car immediately." Christian made one final attempt to say the truth, "father, I didn't do anything!" "Enough!" Morris shouted and grabbed Christian's arm roughly, dragged him up the stairs and through the narrow corridor to the attic. He pushed Christian inside without a second glance, slammed the door shut and locked it, Christian wanted to bang the door to shout that he is innocent as he was about to place his hand on the door, his father's words paused him, "until we are back, you're not allowed to eat or drink, unless we starve you, you'll never know your mistake." Christian heard the sound of his father's footsteps disappearing slowly, and filled with extreme silence. He collapsed on the floor leaning to the door, with a throbbing cheek and heart, as he showed a bitter smile. He knew no one would believe him, no one ever did. The hatred his father had for him felt more painful than the sting on his cheek, and the cold isolation of the attic seemed to press down on him from every direction. Time passed by minute by minute, and Christian sat in the dark attic with a blank expression. He didn't know what he had done wrong, but his mother told him to be an honest man. If he was not wrong, why should he admit it? "They’ll be back soon." he told to himself, clutching the necklace so tightly it cut into his palm. "They’ll see that Ivan is fine, and this will all be over." He still held a glimmer of hope that someone could prove his innocence and let his father know that he was not wrong. However, they left for three days! Christian just sat there stubbornly, without asking for help or shouting. Gradually, hunger and thirst made him unable to hold on any longer, and his consciousness gradually blurred, but he never thought of bowing his head and admitting the things he had never done. "I'm not wrong, I didn't push Ivan..." Even before he was about to lose consciousness, Christian still repeated stubbornly. He gradually had hallucinations in front of his eyes, as if a figure opened the door and reached out to him. "Is it... Mom? I'm not wrong, Mom... I didn't..." However, an angry voice interrupted Christian's words. "You animal! Haven't you realized your mistakes after all these days?"Expand

It's uncle Edward," Christian said with a calm face, "isn't he the one who told me to call Mr. Adrian in the morning? It's already close to afternoon, not morning anymore, if not calling him should I just go back to sleep?" Rosaline groaned in frustration. "I wish you had different priorities, why it must be him, the one you remember right after waking up while your wife is still by your side?" "My wife has been by my side from the last night, and I did accompany you well last night," Christian said with a smirk, "the darkness around your eyes says how good i accompanied you right?" Rosaline threw a pillow on him, "Shameless! What exactly are you spouting?" "Come on, you complains if I don't pay attention to you, and you complains even if I pay attention to you, what exactly do you want

He shifted slightly, one hand reaching up, hesitant, unsure, before gently gripping her wrist.A soft, intimate silence settled over them, after enjoying the silent intimacy in between them, "Are we really going to stop here?" Rosaline continued stroking his hair, tracing along the edges of his jaw, brushing her fingertips over the faint lines of exhaustion on his face. "Do you want to stop or continue?" "Up to you," he looked excited, for the first time ever and she can see it clearly.Rosaline felt his fingers curl slightly around her wrist, soft at first, then tightening with a quiet need that sent warmth spiraling through her chest."It's really up to you, whatever you say, I'll listen to that," he whispered again, but this time his vo

The Lost Heir Of Sargent PLEASE SHOW SOME MERCY
"Hiding?" Rosaline blinked at the sudden question from Christian, her fingers pausing mid-air. "What do you mean by hiding? What's there to hide? And who is hiding from whom?" Christian stared at the closed door for a long second, his brows pulling together in a small, troubled knot before he finally murmured, "I don’t know… but something felt different, my uncle was too calm, too… agreeable today, moreover, there's a slight panic in him, as if he is anxious over something, though his earlier conversation in convincible, still I couldn't help but think he is hiding something from me, don't you also think it is strange?" Rosaline’s lips parted, but she didn’t answer immediately. In her heart, the truth thundered loudly, far louder than the night wind rattling against the windows."How can he not hide it from you, Chris?Your uncle, one of the most feared businessmen in the entire country, a man whose signature can destroy many business empires, trembles at the thought of hurting your

The Lost Heir Of Sargent ANYTIME
"Wh... What do you mean by that, dear?" Edward raised an eyebrow being intrigued by Christian's question, while Christian gently spoke, "yes, I still can't believe that you are allowing me to go meet Mr. Adrian, why?" Edward crossed his arms with a soft smile, "Why do you think like that? Why wouldn't I allow you? Did I ever say no to you?" "Did you ever say yes easily, uncle?" Christian huffed with a pout, "Only uncle Charles says yes to everything I ask, whenever I ask your permission over something, you'll just say no... Not now, you never accepted anything easily, whether it's my first time wanting to go to Valemire's mansion or even visiting that auction event...." Edward was watching Christian's adorable as he was complaining, while Rosaline also quietly listening to everything as she was mesmerized by Christian and his way of talking.Christian took a deep breath and continued, "you didn't easily accept, as you worry about me a lot.... But when I told about meeting Mr. Adria

The Lost Heir Of Sargent WHY IS IT FREEZING LIKE THIS?
"Did I turn on the airconditioner before sleeping?" The first thing Rosaline thought after feeling cold was to check Airconditioner temperature.Strangely, the air conditioner is turned off and she didn't turn it on either. Both the freezing coldness is not the ordinary coldness, it's a kind that sneaks into rooms during winter nights, but a suffocating, unnatural chill that crawled across her skin like icy fingers. She blinked her eyes in shock, breath forming a faint mist in the air.The room was dark but not silent, something within the atmosphere had changed… sharply, and terribly. Her gaze immediately moved to Christian. He slept curled slightly toward her, lashes trembling, his hand half-buried in the blanket. His skin glowed faintly under the silver night light, not with power, but the gentleness that made him look like an angel belonged to a different world."Arghh this guy's charm!"
