"I'm your father," Morris declared, with a forced authority in his voice, "Do you think you can go against me?"

Christian, however, did not flinch instead looked amused by the way Morris using his identity as father which he never used in years.

However Christian's cold yet piercing eyes met Morris with an unforgiving gaze, "Just like how you once said you have no son like me, I have no father like you, Mr. Adams," his voice was calm, but the weight of his words hit Morris like a harsh slap.

Morris tried to blackmail Christian, "If you leave now, you’ll never get your mother’s belongings, do you no longer want them?"

A faint smirk crossed Christian’s lips. "I already knew my mother had nothing precious in this so-called house apart from me," crossing his arms, Christian continued, "Moreover, I didn’t come here for her things, I came here to see what you were up to. Too bad your dearest wife moved quicker than I expected, if not I would’ve enjoyed watching your plans fall apart."

  • IT FEELS THE SAME

"Aren't you going to get ready?" Rosaline came out of the room in a new outfit, making Christian to frown, "Ready? To come out in this bathrobe?" Just then a knock on the door, Rosaline went to open the door and with a smile she returned carrying a bag in her hand, "Your outfit for today is here...." He sighed rubbing his temples, and took the bag from her hands, silently without a word he went into the other room. One glance at the outfit made him groan. "Why do I feel like I’m digging my own grave?" However as he knew there was nothing he could do, wearing the outfit brought by Rosaline, he came out of the room, glancing at him from head to toe, she smirked, "Looks good in this dress, very suitable for a wedding!" She handed him a glass of water and some medicine, "This works best for hangovers," he immediately took the medicine as that's the most important thing he needs at that moment because of extreme headache.Once he is done with the medicine, she smiled maliciously, "Let'

  • GO WHERE?

"Arghh..."Christian groaned, shielding his face from the sunlight spilling through the tall windows. His head throbbed with a dull ache, like tiny drums banging against his skull. With his eyes still closed, he muttered in annoyance, "Ezra, what's the time...?"A minute of silence, then suddenly a voice reached his ears. But it's not Ezra’s."Who is Ezra?"The voice was smooth. Feminine... A little too amused, and very familiar, that familiar voice made his eyes snapped open."Rosaline?" he whispered, blinking rapidly, "Am I dreaming or are you for real?"And there she was, laying beside him, hair tousled, bathrobe loosely draped over her body, her cheek resting on her knuckles as she stared at him like he was the punchline of a joke only she understood, "Do you still think it's a dream?"He bolted upright, eyes still fixed on her.Dim lighting, two half-empty glasses of wine, one champagne bottle on its side."Why are you here? What are you doing in my bed?"Rosaline raised an ele

  • DON'T LEAVE ME

"You're a liar."The sudden voice came all out of a sudden breaking the silence in the calmness filled room.Rosaline blinked, surprised, as Christian woke up from her lap, eyes half-opened, face flushed from wine and sleep."What? What did you just call me?" She asked while sitting straighter. "Liar? What did I even lie about?""You like my uncle... Don't you?" Hw muttered, his tone somewhere between heartbreak and drunken accusation. "You’re doing all this to me... but you like him, how can you do this to me? You kiss me while my uncle is in your heart, you liar..." Rosaline furrowed her brows, rather than being furious and lashing out at him, she decided to know what was making him speak like that, "What made you think I like your uncle and not you?"Christian turned his head slowly, and with a hoarse voice, he cried, "Because he was your ex-fiance, and you both knew each other for so long, moreover, you always mention him... Like, your uncle... You're like your uncle, you're lear

  • I DON'T KNOW WHERE IT ENDS

"Should I just leave this place?" Luna thought to herself with a sigh, "As mom said, maybe I should be away from this place for a while... Arghh what should I do?" She clutched her hair in frustration, the apartment was quiet, apart from the low hum of the airconditioner, and the soft scratch of a worn photograph being traced by trembling fingers.Luna sat cross-legged on the floor, an old, discolored photo resting in her lap.Two little girls, arms locked together, faces blurred by time, yet heavy with familiarity, "I knew it's a past I can't run away, it's a guilt I can't escape from, but it's all happened already, why should I carry the burden alone?" The edges of the image are curled, her thumb hovered just above her younger self, and the other girl, someone unforgettable buried in the past. Her breath grew heavy. The room didn’t move, but the air did, shifting around her like a memory resurrected.Smoke.A sharp scent of burning wood filled her lungs.Screams.Children screami

  • RUMORS?

"Not my fault I’m just too charming," Christian let out a half-laugh, shrugging his shoulders, "Some people are born with charisma, Rose, I didn’t ask for it... it just happens naturally, you know...." Rosaline scoffed, raising an eyebrow, "So humble of you, seems like I understated you, didn't I?" He suddenly laughed trying to escape from her glance, "I try to keep my humility alive… in between being stalked, insulted, kissed, and nearly threatened with death.... No underestimation, I'm very innocent from birth." "I can see that," she muttered, opening the door to the VIP dining room, "What a busy evening for you, and the night’s not even over." Christian scratched his head not understanding what exactly she was saying, but simply got inside before she could say something crazy again. As the door to the private cabin was closed behind them, Rosaline slipped off her coat and let it fall onto the couch.Christian walked toward the table to sit, but Rosaline followed, cornering him.

"Who is calling me?" Christian stiffened at the familiar voice, he turned his head slowly, and his stomach dropped at the sight of the person whom he doesn't want to meet ever.Mia.She stood only a few feet away, wearing a short dress, one eyebrow lifted in amusement, or maybe accusation. Christian couldn't understand why he always run into her whenever he was out to spend some time in peace, and meeting her will always end up ruining his peaceful time.Rubbing his temples with frustration, Christian sighed inwardly, "Arghh... Why is she here? Why the hell should I run into her only to ruin my mental peace?" While Mia, her eyes flicked from Christian to Rosaline with mocking interest."Wow..." she said, voice dripping with venom, "finally you're free from that Luna now, it's not the White Lotus bitch this time... but a new woman?
