Jessy looked confused when she saw Daniel's name on her messaging app. This was very strange because Daniel doesn't usually send messages like this. He preferred to call her.

"This is weird," Jessy said in a quiet voice.

"What do you mean?" asked Ivy, who was next to her with her eyebrows raised, showing a look of confusion.

"Daniel wouldn't normally send a message like this. Usually, he would call me." Jessy revealed what she was thinking to everyone in the room.

"Is his cell phone being used by someone or something?" She muttered, who was currently overthinking.

"I don't think so."

Ben made his comment in a low, husky tone. His mouth was still busy munching on the pizza he shared with Ivy.

"What do you mean?" Jessy asked in a confused tone while tilting her head.

"As a man, I can read his mind. He probably misses you but doesn't want to bother you with a phone call. That's why-"

Ben's voice was cut short by the sound of Jessy's cell phone ring
