Chapter 2

Claude's brow furrowed. He looked to his left and right to make sure that there was no one other than himself that the man before him was referring to as Young Master. "Who are you?" He felt confused at suddenly being called young master by a stranger.

The man before Claude smiled kindly. "I was trusted by an important figure to bring you back and you should get what has been yours."

The man's words made Claude even more confused. He didn't understand what the man was saying. Claude wondered to himself, bring back where? And what will he get? What did he have? He didn't feel like he had anything. "I don't understand what you're saying. It seems like you've got the wrong person."

The man before Claude shook his head. "No, Young Master. I don't have the wrong person." He reached into one of his coat pockets, took out a small black card, and then held it out to Claude. "You are my young master, and this is just a little gift that can help you, this black card has a money limit of 100 million dollars that you can use anytime and anywhere. You must need it, right?"

The man smiled mysteriously and managed to catch Claude's attention.

Claude widened his eyes perfectly. He was shocked by what the man said. Claude still glanced at the man without reaching for the black card with the huge amount of money. "Why did you suddenly give me that card? Who exactly are you?"

The man smiled kindly while bowing his head respectfully. "Alright, I'll introduce myself." He extended his right hand in front of Claude. "I am Bruce, I am your servant young master. Please accept this card as a gift."

Claude frowned. He really did not recognize who the man before him was, and he did not know why the man before him kept referring to him as a young master. "I can't accept that. You seem to have the wrong person, excuse me."

Claude rejected Bruce's gift card and was about to leave, but Bruce stopped him and extended the black card back to Claude. "Master Claude, I know you need money for your mother's medical expenses, you can use this black card to pay all the medical expenses you need. Please accept it."

Claude froze in place. He bowed his head slightly, seemingly in thought. In his heart, he was uneasy that he really needed the money. But he was hesitant to accept it and was unsure of what Bruce had said.

"Master Claude, your mother is currently ill and needs medical expenses. The money in this card can help you. You don't have to think about who to borrow money from and where to look for it. This is a gift for you. You should not hesitate to accept it. Think, this is for your mother, sir." Bruce again convinced Claude to accept the black card.

Claude really needed the money. Hesitantly, he finally accepted the black card in Bruce's hand. Claude looked at the card, then looked at Bruce. "I want to know about what really happened. Is it true that I'm from a rich family?"

Bruce nodded his head politely and respectfully. "It is, sir."

Claude looked closely at Bruce's face. "If that's the case, then why did they just abandon me and my mother? Why are they only looking for me now? Why not a long time ago? My mom is dying right now."

Bruce bowed his head sadly. He seemed to let out a long sigh. "I'm sorry, sir. I can't explain everything, but there is a reason for that and I promise to tell you in the future because right now it's not good for you to know too much, all you have to know is that you are a member of a wealthy family."

Bruce felt a little guilty for not being able to give a more detailed explanation of who Claude really was. He reached into his coat pocket, took out his business card, and gave it to Claude. "This is my phone number, and you can call me anytime. I will come immediately and do whatever you say."

Claude grabbed the business card given by Bruce. He still couldn't believe what Bruce had said. Just then, Claude's cell phone rang. He reached into his pants pocket, took out the phone, and looked at the screen. It was a phone call from the hospital. Claude immediately picked up the phone call and slightly pulled away from Bruce. "Is there something going on with my mom?"

"Your mother is again critical and must be given immediate help. If you still can't pay for her treatment, we can't take any further action." The nurse on the other end of the line sounded rude to Claude.

Of course, Claude became very panicked hearing that. Even his heart was beating fast. He didn't know what to do, so he glanced at the back where Bruce was. Bruce was there smiling kindly while bowing his head respectfully, then Claude glanced at the black card in his hand. He remembered that a huge amount of money was inside the card, and it was definitely enough to pay for his mother's medical expenses. He nodded his head. "Alright, I'll be right there."

Claude hurriedly left Bruce. He rushed to the hospital, taking a taxi that happened to stop right before him after dropping off a passenger. Claude immediately got into the taxi and told it where he was going. During the trip in the taxi, Claude's feelings were not calm. He felt uneasy thinking about how his mother was in critical condition.

Forty-five minutes passed, and Claude finally arrived in front of the hospital. He reached into his pants pocket, pulled out the few bills Olivia had given him to buy vegetables at the market and gave them to the taxi driver. Claude rushed into the hospital so quickly that he accidentally bumped into a visitor.

"Gosh, don't you have eyes? Be careful, it's very dangerous for others!" The woman Claude bumped into got angry and spoke angrily, making everyone look at them.

Claude clasped his hands together with a gasp. "I'm sorry. I was in a hurry." The woman snorted in annoyance and walked away haughtily from Claude's presence.

"Hurry up! Can't you walk quickly! Ah, annoying! Bring all that stuff!" There was a shouting voice from a portly man, one of the hospital staff.

"B-but, she is in critical condition and must receive immediate treatment." One of the doctors treating Claude's mother seemed to block the staff's rude actions.

"get out of the way! You can't take any action before the family pays off the hospital fees! She's always delaying medical fees. Patients like this should be discharged and never admitted to this hospital again! This is a hospital, not a social center!" The staff slammed the kind doctor's hand away, then pushed Claude's mother's body to the floor.

The doctor and the nurses were shocked but couldn't do anything because the staff member was the highest-ranking person in the hospital. The staff's name was Ronald. The overweight man was known to be very cruel. Not only to the medical and hospital staff, he did not hesitate to act violently toward patients. Especially for patients who have problems and delayed payment of medical fees.

The doctor caring for Claude's mother during this time held one of Claude's hands and grabbed the IV, trying to help Claude's mother get up. However, Ronald grabbed the IV stand in the doctor's hand and threw it in a random direction. Suddenly, Mrs. Wendy winced in pain because the IV needle in her hand was dislodged.

"What are you doing? Are you deaf? Didn't you hear what I told you not to help her? I said, get her out of here right now!" Ronald again pushed Claude's mother's body until she fell against a waiting chair near the room, until the middle-aged woman was unconscious.

At the same time, Claude saw Ronald's mistreatment of his mother. Suddenly, Claude was furious about it. He ran towards them. "What have you done to my mother, you heartless human!" Claude panicked as her mother fainted. He hugged his mother's body. "Mom, wake up."

Ronald grinned. He scrunched his waist as he clucked irritably at Claude. "Why, what are you going to do to me? You're already not paying for the hospital treatment. Just get your mom out of here. I'm sick of seeing you guys."

"I can pay for it!" Claude shouted. He ran straight to the receptionist, and Ronald grinned.

The poor man in front of him was now trying to scam him.

"You won't be able to pay, you think the hospital payment is only 2 dollars!? You idiot!"

Ronal knew who Claude was, the man who had nothing and looked like a beggar and was constantly insulted by his mother-in-law.

Claude didn't care, he took out the card he had and made the payment, the woman in front of him worked quickly when she saw Claude, she said something surprising.

 "Payment has been completed, sir."

"What!?" Ronald shouted. It was implausible for him, so he walked quickly towards there.
