Chapter 1. His fate

        In a big elegant Mansion, decorated with many unique designs, screaming of nothing but abundant wealth, one could see a youngish man crying provously and begging the people, that surrounded him. 

"Take him away!"  A loud voice full of resentment, thundered around the whole living room, sending chills down to the spine of the crying man. 

" No! Please........ please,,,,," lamentable, Aiden cried out more, with big fat tears rolling down from his eyes. 

Aiden stepped back, with his hands clasped together, and he was still begging his family. Even he himself was puzzled on what happened, but the only thing he knew was that he was innocent. 

But everyone just ignored his please...

" I didn't do it. I swear, I know nothing about what you are accusing of! I will never murder my uncle! Am innocent please,,,,,," he bursted out, looking pitiful with his already swollen and red rimmed eyes. He sniffed loudly, but more tears still came out.

"Please, you have to believe me. It wasn't me! I didn't do it! This is all just a misunderstanding..... I didn't do it at all!" He begged more, darting his eyes around everyone that was present in the living room. 

Most of them just sneered and stared down at him with disdain, but some shook their head, sympathizing with him. 

" Enough!" Aiden's grandfather stepped forward with an annoyed face full of disgust, and he raised up his hand.

"Your begging is useless! You have already done the deed, and you must pay for it no matter what!"

" Grandfather!" Aiden sobbed more as he called his grandfather, not believing his ears, and he quickly ran to his side. 

"Don't come close to me!" His grandfather stepped back, scowling, and he shouted, afraid that Aiden would repeat the same thing he did to his uncle, to him. 

Seeing the little fear in his grandfather's eyes, Aiden became crestfallen, and he almost choke out. 

Does he think I am a monster? 

Does he think I will hurt him? 

Aiden felt like giving up on everything as there was nothing for him, but he knew that wouldn't work, so the only thing right now was to try and prove himself! 

He crawled to his grandfather and held his legs, despite the shouting and refusal of his grandfather! 

"You beast! Get away from me! Don't touch me with your bloody hands! I won't share in your sins!" His grandfather kept yelling and yelling, spouting harsh words at Aiden like he was nothing at all.

It was evident he now loathed Aiden to the core.

"Such a bastard like you shouldn't have the gut to hold my legs! Your hands are too sinful and filthy! Let go of my legs now, ungrateful bastard!!" 

Those cruel words were like sharp daggers piercing the soul of Aiden, and gradually, he was breaking down inwardly.

" Grandfather...... please....hear me out. I will never do such a thing, please believe me ....... please," he tightly held on to his grandfather's legs, stubbornly refusing to let go! 

"When will you stop repeating the same words! You are clearly guilty, so don't you dare try to turn anything around!" One of Aiden's family members, snapped, not sparing Aiden like his grandfather too. 

This was when the cops moved closer to Aiden and tried to take him away forcefully. 

" No, don't!" Aiden shook his head, refusing to let go, and he struggled with the cops. 

" Mr. Aiden, you need to respect yourself!" The head of the cops said in a deep voice, trying to be patient with Aiden.

"Don't touch me, leave me alone! I am innocent! I don't know anything about this, can you see?!" Aiden was almost on the verge of going crazy, as he forcefully pushed the cops away from him, throwing them different kicks in different directions.

" Don't touch me! Get away!"

His grandfather widened his eyes and tried to also free himself, but he only ended up losing his balance and almost collided with the ground!

"Aiden, are you nut?! Don't you see the hubbub you are causing now?!" Another family member, who was a female, bellowed furiously as she swiftly ran to save grandfather, and at the same time, glaring at Aiden. 

This startled Aiden, and he immediately free his grandfather's legs, as he stumbled backward. He was stunned and couldn't believe his eyes..

At the same time, the cops caught him, gripping his hand tightly. 

" Do you also want to kill me like you did to your uncle?! Is that it?! You want this as your revenge right?!" Grandfather flared up, as he regained his balance and almost threw something at Aiden.

He was deeply furious and enraged, and his face turned slightly red. 

" You are nothing but a burden to this family! In fact, you are a curse! A useless curse!" He pointed towards Aiden with shaky fingers.

"I told your father in the first place, I told him, you will only bring bad luck! Nothing but bad luck, but he failed to listen to me, cause he thought I don't know what I was saying! But look at what you have done! You personally killed your uncle single handedly! Isn't that a bad omen? " 

This........

Aiden felt a knot in his throat, and his palms became clammy as he became discomfited.

Maybe his eyes and ears were playing with him, as he found it hard to believe everything his grandfather said. At that moment, his head felt blank, and everything became void. 

" Gra...and fat..he..r" he stuttered slowly, dropping to the ground, and he lowered his head in shame.

 "Don't grandfather me! I don't have a bad luck as a grandson!" Greatly irritated, his grandfather hissed and turned to the cops. " Take him away now! I don't want to see him!"

Instantly, the cops nodded vigorously and carried Aiden, despite so much reluctance from the latter. 

There was nothing for him to do now, but just as he lifted up his head, he saw his mother standing beside the cops, and a new hope surged in him.

" Mom...... please, believe me! I know nothing about this! You have to help me and save me! Please, tell grandfather I didn't do anything to Uncle," Aiden quickly said, trying all ways to save himself and he hoped for his mother to also help him. 

But what he didn't expect was......

His mother seized him up and down and snorted, before she turned her back, signifying she wasn't on his side! 

This ...,..

Aiden had never felt this broken before in his life, and he wished this was just a bad dream! 

For some seconds, he couldn't form or come up with anything, as everything felt so unreal. And just like that, Aiden was pushed out of the mansion by his family members, as they all deemed him as a curse. 

Landing up inside jail, he still found it hard as to how his life changed in just one day! 

"Hey, why are you crying like a little kiddo?!" One of the prisoners walked up to Aiden and kicked him in the groin. 

"Do you know you are just wasting your time crying here?" Another prisoner moved close to Aiden and sat beside him.

"Here, we don't cry," he whispered to his ears, but Aiden only furrowed his brows deeply. 

He frowned, not because of what the prisoner said, but because of the prisoner's bad breath, and it really made him feel disgusted.

"Hey, everyone, we have a cry baby here!" Another prisoner shouted, making a derisive snort, and he pointed to Aiden. 

This was when everyone turned their attention to Aiden, and they started making fun of him. Some even went over and did all sorts of annoying things to him. 

Aiden hated this, but he had no choice. He could only cry and cry and cursed his fate!

" Why is fate turning things around for me?!"
