I just wanted to use this to let everyone know that new chapters are on the way starting tomorrow but first I wanted to get an important message across.

First of all, I apologize for the inconsistencies with the uploads. I know you guys read this book not just for the story but also as your pastime and I appreciate you all for the support that I’ve been getting.

I just checked the last chapter and I was left a comment addressing the lack of new chapters and how it makes the story boring and I get where you’re coming from reader. Even I get annoyed when the books I read don’t get chapters when I want them to.

I just wanted to ask you guys to look at things from the author’s perspective and I hope you understand.

First of all, though it takes you guys a minute to read a single chapter it takes us the author an hour minimum to write it and thirty minutes to edit so an hour to two hours for a single chapter.

Double that when the author uploads two chapters daily.

Now, that’s four hours gone out of the author’s day and yes I know you guys pay for coins to unlock but I will be honest, I barely make enough from this book.

Usually, an author makes money based on the level of promotion their book gets which means more readers and more coins but if you’ve noticed this book hasn’t been promoted for four months now which is why I don’t make much.

It’s not like it’s the platform’s fault because they gave my book a shot but since this is my first ever Urban book I made a lot of mistakes at the start that didn’t leave the book enticing enough for readers to want to pick it up and pay

Platforms only promote books that make them money but if your book doesn’t then you get shelved like mine seems to have.

It was a week before the last promotion that I figured out how to edit my old chapters and make them interesting enough to read and when that happened, the promotion worked and I made more in that one week than I made in months.

I wasn’t making much the months before so please don’t think I made a lot in that one week I mentioned. It was just more that’s all... Haha

Unfortunately, since the book already has a history of not making anything I was shelved still. At least that’s what I think because I see other books getting promoted but not once have I been in months.

Anyway, I digress.

Since writing takes a lot of an author’s time and mental energy, authors try to make it a source of living. So, if your book doesn’t make you enough the only solution is to write another book and supplement both incomes.

That was the plan when I decided to create WISH TO BE RICH at the start of the month.

Now, the thing about starting a new book is that you have to give it as much attention and push to upload many chapters so that the platform picks it and promotes it to hopefully make money from it.

This month I’ve written over 100,000 words which span 81 chapters for WISH TO BE RICH. That’s twice what other authors upload for a new book and twice what I did for The Midnight Heir during its first month.

I’m finally at a point where I can reduce how much I focus on that book so that I can focus on both books I’m writing currently, The Midnight Heir and Wish To Be Rich.

That’s what I was doing all month when I wasn’t uploading chapters for this book. I was writing and uploading for Wish To Be Rich so that I can have enough money to continue both books.

My social life, eyes and mental state have gone into shambles because of the amount of work I had to do while I have school and other things to deal with but I’m sucking it up.

I even got sick during this process of stressing myself to write so much and I still am a bit but as long as I can write I will.

The midnight heir is a book I’ve planned from start to finish and it’s a book I created Wish To Be Rich from so that I can make enough to continue writing this book that clearly doesn’t make me much and my reason is that I love writing this book.

I hope this chapter has helped those who are mad at me and feel like I abandoned this book with understanding what was happening behind the scenes.

Again, I want to apologize for the inconvenience but now I’m at a stage where I can focus on this book as well as my other one and that’s what I plan on doing.
