“Both his parents were stunned. None of them could say a word, as they couldn't believe their son came home with money. They had this bad feeling about the money, that Norton stole it, but they didn't know what to say.

“But, son, don't you think that your brother is right? You stole money from someone,” Mrs. Jefferson said, and Norton looked at his mother in shock.

“Mom? Are you saying this?” Norton asked in disbelief. He thought that his mother would stand by him and support him no matter what, and he didn't expect her to say something like that.

“Well, we all have to admit that it's the truth, son. You stole the money from the CEO of the company by pretending to be a criminal. You also lied to him that you had the Secretary kidnapped by you when you didn't even have her with you. You have lied, cheated, and stolen, son. That is not what I taught you,” Mrs. Jefferson said.
