Jason couldn't believe he was hearing these words from Jade, what is happening to Jade, where did he mess up.

“Jade, I thought you loved my paintings, you told me I will make a fortune from it, what happened to those encouragement words”

He wanted to touch Jade's hands but Jade stepped backwards avoiding his movement.

“Wake up Jason, how dumb are you. Your paintings were popular arts of other artists, you are only good at imitating others, I love those popular arts not your paintings, they are two different things”

Jason's heart tightened, he was starting to understand her words, that he had been a fool. Right from the beginning, ever since Jade came to him, she has been asking him to draw other artists' work, especially the popular ones.

He hesitated because it's illegal to do such a thing, but Jade promised to keep them in her room, she had never asked for his creativity, Jade never cared about his own arts.

Jason felt like breaking down to the floor, he had been completely used all these while, he thought Jade loved him, not knowing she was a fan of popular arts work, and she couldn't get them, so she drew closer to him so he could help her make imitations.

Robert taps Jason on his right shoulder.

“Do you understand now punk, it's over between you and Jade, now it's time to run along”

Jason's breath was vibrating, two years of being deceived like a fool.

He faces Jade.

“Give me back the paintings”

Those paintings are illegally made, he can no longer trust Jade, he should get rid of them quickly.

Jade's heart kicked a little, she has sold the paintings already, something happened to her family business, they needed money, that is when she discovered Jason, they sold all the paintings to recover the family business.

“I have burnt them to ashes, how can I keep such a thing with me”

Jason was doubtful, but what would Jade gain if she kept them.

However, he needed to make sure of it, he wanted to say something when Robert pushed him on his chest.

“Bro, get the hell out of here!!, Jade said it's over, why are you pestering her”

Robert pushed Jason again on his chest.

“You are just so annoying, no wonder Jade didn't give you the opportunity to hold her hands, I bet you haven't kissed her hand before, unlike me, I have kissed her numerous times, on the lip of course”

He steps closer to Jason and whispers to his ears.

“Remember when she said she was sick some weeks ago, she actually spent the night in my house.”

Jason's rage exploded, he smashed his tightly squeezed fist into Robert's face, the force sent Robert staggering some distance backwards before he finally crashed to the ground.

Jason rushed forward to Robert, but his henchmen quickly seized him from inflicting more injuries on Robert.

“Bastard!!”

Jason roars as he struggles violently with the seven henchmen.

Robert coughs out a mouthful of blood, he staggers to his feet before he points to Jason.

“Kill this bastard!!”

The henchmen smashed Jason to the ground, they smashed their heavy boots all over his body, Jason tried to fight back, but he was overwhelmed by the numbers, feeling helpless on the floor, his eyes were focused on Jade, she was taking care of Robert injured lips, she didn't even throw a glance at him or ask them to stop.

Robert stands up when Jade has finished wiping his lips clean.

He steps forward to Jason and boots him twice on his stomach, then he spat on the floor.

“I will make sure you leave this school”

He faces his men.

“Throw him out, he is obstructing the flow of this party”

The henchmen pick Jason up and throw him out of the hotel.

They threw him to the roadside, Jason landed on his front, his body was filled with bruises, blood was oozing out from his nose, and it was reaching to his mouth, he managed to move his right hand to his nose, Jason wanted to wipe the blood away, when the ring on his right hand suddenly started glowing in different colors.

“What is this”

Jason stares at the ring, it was covered in blood. His eyes were suddenly dizzy.

*

Inside a beautiful mansion, a middle-age man was having his tea peacefully, his eyes diverted to the newspaper on the table, he wanted to pick it up when the entrance door suddenly opened.

One of his apprentices rushed forward to him.

“Master, master, Sir George”

He kneels on the floor when he reaches the middle-age man.

His body was soaked with sweat and his hands were shaking uncontrollably.

George picked the newspaper on the table and opened to the middle, his eyes were focused on it.

“Speak already”

His attention remained on the newspaper.

The apprentice hesitated before he summoned a mighty courage to voice out.

“Master, the Spectre family rune stone is glowing”

George's eyes teared open immediately, he flings the newspaper away and stands up to his feet.

“What rune stone are you talking about”

The apprentice pointed to the doorway.

“The stone in the treasure room. It's glowing”

George's heart skipped twice, how is that possible, that stone hasn't glowed for years, and that is because the Spectre family are all dead, it can't suddenly start glowing, unless somebody from the Spectre family is alive, and this person has the supremacy ring.

The Spectre family supremacy ring, a ring that houses all the powers of the Spectre family, it can only be activated by a member of the family.

George's heart seized when he finally came to a conclusion, somebody from the Spectre family is alive.

His cheeks raised to his eyes, he suddenly felt a little pain in his right hand, the ring on his right hand was starting to glow red.

George's face darkened.

“The master is in trouble”

He faced his apprentice.

“The supremacy ring is sending out a signal to all of us. We must get there quickly”

He rushed to the exit without waiting for his apprentice or even contemplating about changing his clothes.

“Get the cars ready, Junior. The master needs our help, we must get there before the rest of the disciples.

“We have to be number one on the master list”

At that moment, upon seeing what just happened, the old man actually then stopped on his track. His steps halted mid-air as if the weight of what had just unfolded rooted him to the spot. His eyes narrowed, flickering with a brief moment of disbelief. He couldn't believe that Derek this boy, this so-called waste of space—had just sent one of his men flying with nothing more than a punch.Even though he knew that was one of his weakest men, what bothered him wasn’t the man’s weakness—it was the manner in which Derek actually did it. The sound of bones snapping, the blur of Derek’s movement, and the sheer impact that had sent the guard crashing into the wall, shattering two marble pillars like they were made of glass, left even the watching spectators in awe. It was brutal. It was precise. It was clean. The old man’s eyes didn’t leave Derek. His stare lingered, cold and calculating, as if reevaluating everything he thought he knew. Slowly, he nodded, almost as if acknowledging something

  • CHAPTER 452

At that moment, Derek raised his head slowly, his breath shallow, his jaw clenched despite the pressure tightening around his throat. His eyes met the old man's without flinching, without blinking. Blood was pooling at the corners of his lips from earlier hits, but he still managed to speak, voice hoarse but filled with unwavering resolve.“There’s nothing you are going to do that will break me,” he said, every word dripping with grit and defiance. “And there’s nothing you can ever do that will make me say what you want to hear. Nothing.”His words echoed through the room, not like a loud roar, but like a solemn vow. The air itself seemed to hold its breath, watching, listening. The guards nearby exchanged uneasy glances. For a man who looked so worn and broken, Derek didn’t sound defeated. He sounded like someone with nothing left to lose. And that was dangerous. The old man’s face didn’t shift right away. He stared at Derek for a few more seconds, his eyes dark, unreadable. But then

  • CHAPTER 451

He looked Derek dead in the eyes, no emotion in his face, only a quiet, unwavering promise of what was to come.“One…”He didn’t shout it. He whispered it. And somehow, that made it worse.“Two…”The sound echoed in the back of Derek’s mind, crawling under his skin.“Three…”Silence spread through the hall like a thick fog.“Four…”The old man tilted his head slightly, studying Derek like an insect he was about to crush. And just before the fifth word could slip from his lips, he added with a smirk that held no warmth—“If I reach five and you’re still standing there like a fool, I swear on everything that breathes, I will skin you alive for lying to my face.”Immediately, Derek looked up with fire in his eyes, the chains still around him barely restraining the heat that surged through his words. He didn’t flinch. He didn’t cower. Instead, he raised his chin slightly, defiantly, as if spitting in the face of fear itself.“Well,” he said, his voice strong and stubborn, “I don’t care. I

  • CHAPTER 450

At that moment, Derek narrowed his eyes, his voice growing firmer as he responded with controlled defiance, “So the whole idea now is that I should what? Break this chair, prove myself, unleash whatever strength I have, just so you—an old man who thinks he sees everything can finally say I’m worthy?”He gave a slow shake of his head, a slight smirk tugging at the corner of his lips, though his heart pounded beneath his chest. “No. That’s not going to happen.”The guards tensed, hearing his tone. Even the old man slightly furrowed his brows, not expecting such a calm response. Derek continued, “You say I’m hiding behind lies. That I don’t have strength because your so-called all-seeing eyes can’t detect it. That’s not my fault. That’s on you. Maybe your eyes are failing. Maybe your senses are duller than you believe.”He leaned forward slightly in the chair, though his wrists were still tightly bound, his body aching from earlier blows. “Let me explain something very clearly,” he said

  • CHAPTER 449

At that moment, Derek slowly lifted his head. His eyes, no longer filled with fear, locked directly onto the old man's gaze. There was no tremble in his voice this time. No stutter. Only silence at first, the kind of silence that made everyone else in the room hold their breath. Then slowly, Derek's lips curved—not into a smirk, not into a smile—but into something in between. Calm. Unshaken. And maybe, just maybe… dangerous."You said your eyes see everything," Derek said slowly, almost like he was speaking to a child. "Then maybe… it's time you went back and checked if those eyes of yours still work."The old man’s jaw tightened. The guards flinched, fists tightening. It wasn’t just the words Derek spoke—it was how he said them. The calmness in his voice, the control. The sheer disrespect. But more than that, it was the confidence. It was unnerving.“You speak boldly for someone still tied to a chair,” the old man said coldly, but even he could hear the shift. Something didn’t feel r

  • CHAPTER 448

At that moment, upon hearing what the old man just said, something inside Derek twisted. It was like a slow, cold knife turning in his gut.Even though he was still tied to the chair, even though his body ached and his wrists were burning from the ropes cutting into them, his mind began to race. Piece by piece, the truth started to come together—painfully, clearly, and humiliatingly.“They’re talking about Jason…” Derek whispered to himself, barely audible. It all made sense now.The “other boy” the old man wanted… wasn’t just any other boy. It was Jason. The real fighter. The one who always stood in front, who always made sure Derek never had to lift a hand. The one who carried the team in the last competition the one who humiliated their enemies so badly that they came crawling back, hungry for revenge.Jason. Again.Derek bit down hard on the inside of his cheek, almost drawing blood. The bitterness tasted like shame. So that was it. These people, whoever they were, had seen the fi
