Every eye in the room turned toward the physician.
The head doctor of Greyhaven’s most prestigious private hospital stood frozen, his mind struggling to process what had just happened. Ginger. Honey. Pepper. Boiling water. What kind of treatment was that? He had spent more than thirty years studying medicine. He had trained overseas, chaired medical conferences, published research papers, and treated countless patients. Yet this young man—this former inmate—had walked into his ward and accomplished what an entire team of specialists could not. He looked around the room. Marcus. Vanessa. The nurses. The security guards. Everyone was watching him. His reputation was on the line. How could he kneel before an ex-convict? A man without a medical degree? His pride rebelled. “Don’t get cocky, you fraud!” he suddenly snapped, his face turning red. “She recovered because of the treatment and medication I gave her earlier! Her body was already stabilizing!” He pointed at Elias. “It was coincidence! Timing! Not your ridiculous mixture!” The room immediately grew tense. Vanessa’s expression darkened, while Marcus’s eyes turned cold. The doctor continued desperately. “You’re all being fooled! He mixes kitchen ingredients together and suddenly you treat him like some miracle worker?” He turned toward the security guards. “Security! Remove this man from my hospital immediately!” The guards hesitated. They exchanged uncertain looks before slowly approaching Elias. “Sir… please come with us,” one of them said. His voice lacked conviction. They moved cautiously, almost as though they weren’t sure whether they were escorting a former prisoner out of the hospital or provoking something they couldn't handle. Elias didn't move. He simply stood there, completely calm, as though the entire situation was beneath his attention. Before the guards could reach him— “Stop.” Marcus’s voice cut through the room. The guards froze. Marcus stepped forward, his expression no longer grateful or emotional. It was cold. “Anyone,” he said slowly, looking across the security team, “who dares lay a finger on Mr. Crowe will regret it.” His jaw tightened. “For the rest of their lives.” The threat was not an exaggeration. Everyone in Greyhaven knew Marcus Vale’s influence. If he decided to destroy someone's career, there were very few people powerful enough to stop him. The guards immediately stepped back. The doctor’s face paled. “You can’t threaten hospital staff!” he protested. “I’m the head physician here! I will not allow some fraud to undermine my authority!” Marcus turned toward him. His gaze was filled with disappointment. “No,” he said quietly. “You are the head physician of this hospital.” He stepped closer. “And yet you wagered your professional integrity in front of witnesses.” The doctor swallowed. Marcus continued. “You entered into a clear verbal agreement. You promised to kneel and apologize if he saved your patient.” He gestured around the room. “The nurses heard it. Security heard it. My wife heard it. I heard it.” The doctor's breathing became heavier. “You can refuse, of course,” Marcus said. “But then you'll have to explain why the head physician of this hospital made a public agreement and deliberately refused to honor it after losing the wager.” The doctor’s forehead began to sweat. “You… you wouldn’t.” Marcus’s voice dropped. “Test me.” Those two words crushed the last of the doctor's confidence. This was no longer about humiliation. His license was at risk. His career was at risk. His reputation could disappear overnight. Slowly, the head physician bent his knees. His expensive coat touched the sterile hospital floor as he lowered his head. “I…” His voice cracked. He forced the words out. “I apologize.” He swallowed. “I was wrong to doubt your abilities. Please forgive my arrogance, Mr. Crowe.” The nurses stared in disbelief. The guards looked away awkwardly. Elias looked down at him without emotion. There was no satisfaction in his eyes. Whether the doctor stood or knelt made no difference to him. Marcus then approached Elias. “Mr. Crowe, thank you once again.” He motioned to one of his subordinates. The man immediately stepped forward carrying a thick stack of documents. Marcus accepted the files and presented them to Elias with both hands. “These contain everything I’ve managed to gather over the years. Financial records. Witness statements. Internal reports. Names connected to the investigation.” His voice lowered. “It may help you find the people responsible for what happened to your family.” He looked directly at Elias. “And I will support you however I can.” Elias accepted the documents without ceremony. “Then I’ll take my leave.” Marcus hesitated. “Where will you go? You can stay at my residence until you decide your next move. It would be an honor.” Elias shook his head. “I’ll find my way.” Without another word, he turned and walked out of the room. The hallway seemed to part naturally as he passed. No one dared stop him. When Elias stepped outside, the evening air touched his face. For the first time in ten years, he was completely free. Across the street, however, a fleet of black vehicles was waiting along the curb. They weren't flashy, but everything about them spoke of wealth and authority. Three people stood beside the lead vehicle. A woman dressed in a fitted black suit stood at the front, with two men behind her. The moment they saw Elias, all three stepped forward. Then, without hesitation, they dropped to one knee. Their heads lowered respectfully. “Young Master.” Elias stopped. The woman spoke clearly. “The Azure Organization has been waiting for your return.”Latest Chapter
The Duel
“Elias!”Lily’s voice tore through the smoke. She was reaching for him, stretching her small fingers toward him, her face wet with tears and her eyes wide with terror.“Elias, help me!”He was running toward her.He was always running toward her.But hands suddenly grabbed him from behind. Thick, rough hands seized his arms and yanked him backward. He fought against them, thrashing and twisting, but they held him with a strength that didn’t feel human. He couldn’t see their faces. He could never see their faces.Only dark shapes. Outlines. Figures that existed for one purpose—to hold him back.“LET GO OF ME!”His fingers stretched toward her.Lily reached back, straining as her small hand came within inches of his.“Elias, please—”On the floor behind her, his parents lay motionless. His mother was face down against the marble. His father lay beside her, one arm extended forward as though even in death he had still been trying to reach his family.Dark pools spread slowly beneath them
A Letter from Zucker
Zia dismissed the thought almost as quickly as it had formed.Celestial Realm.Impossible.She had spent fifteen years inside Azure, surrounded by some of the most gifted warriors in Greyhaven. She understood better than most what it took to reach the upper levels of cultivation. Dragon Lord alone required decades of disciplined training, refined technique, and a natural affinity for Aether that perhaps one in ten thousand people possessed. The Celestial Realm was something else entirely. In all of Azure’s thirty-year history, only one person had ever stood at that level.Master Zucker. And even he had taken a lifetime to reach it.Elias Crowe was barely twenty-five. He had spent the last ten years inside Blackstone Penitentiary. No matter how gifted he was, no matter what Zucker had taught him behind those walls, the idea that he had reached the Celestial Realm was simply…Ridiculous.Zia shook her head slightly.Don’t be ridiculous. He was confident. Perhaps genuinely strong. But co
Elder Chad Bozeman
That was it. The final spark.Chad slammed his palm onto the obsidian table.BOOM!The massive slab cracked instantly, fractures racing like lightning across the polished surface before the entire table shattered into pieces. A violent purple aura erupted around him, swirling like a storm as the temperature in the chamber suddenly dropped. Even the air seemed to distort beneath the pressure.Several weaker attendants near the walls staggered backward, gasping for breath.Zia’s heart pounded. She was only at the Sovereign level. If a Dragon Lord like Chad fully unleashed his strength, she wouldn’t last a second trying to intervene. Almost no one in the chamber could stop him if he truly lost control.Except the other elders.Otherwise… Elias might actually die here.“That’s it!” Chad roared, stepping forward. “You’re going to die today!”He clenched his fist. The purple aura surrounding his body rapidly condensed around his arm, gathering into a dense vortex of destructive energy. This
An Arrogant Heir
The moment Elias stepped fully into the chamber, he felt the pressure. The air itself seemed heavier around the long obsidian table.Twelve elders.Twelve powerful figures whose auras remained restrained, yet still radiated an intimidating sense of dominance.Elias’s senses sharpened instinctively.Every one of them was at least at the Dragon Lord level, a realm immediately beneath the Celestial Realm. In the world of martial cultivation, strength was divided into distinct realms: Sentinel, Regent, Sovereign, Dragon Lord, Celestial, Primordial, and Apex Primordial.Elias had only recently entered the Celestial Realm.Yet the twelve people sitting before him were monsters in their own right.Their eyes moved over him, and disappointment quickly surfaced.“A young man?” one elder muttered.“Is this some kind of joke?”Quiet murmurs spread around the table.A heavyset man with streaks of silver in his hair leaned forward. His expression carried open hostility. His name was Chad Bozeman.
The Azure Organization
Elias stopped walking. For the first time since leaving Blackstone, genuine surprise crossed his face.“Who are you people?” His eyes narrowed slightly. “And what exactly is the Azure Organization?”The woman in the black suit raised her head, though she remained on one knee.“My name is Zia Makari,” she said calmly. “We were sent by Master Zucker. I cannot explain everything here. Please, come with us. The answers you seek are waiting.”The moment Elias heard that name, his expression changed.Zucker.His master. The eccentric, unpredictable, terrifyingly powerful old man who had taught him everything inside Blackstone.“Zucker?” Elias repeated slowly. “You mean the old man?”“Yes, Young Master.”The title sounded strange to Elias.Zucker had disappeared from Blackstone without a trace. There had been no transfer record, no death certificate, nothing. Elias had searched for months, but no inmate or guard knew where the old man had gone.In fact, Zucker had barely existed in the priso
