Bethany Colwill was in a league of her own when it comes to beauty. Her presence exuded royalty and class. Isabella's features fade in comparison to Bethany's. Her gait and demeanor is archetype to that of a royalty who has come to see her lowly subjects.

"What a beauty!" An exclamation rang across the place.

"I've seen so many beautiful ladies, but this is a discovery."

Danny Ceballos was also smitten by the looks of this lady. Just by staring at her, he could easily tell that Isabella could never compare to her. Now he wants the lady, over Isabella.

Isabella on the other hand was displeased by the random intrusion of the lady. Judging by her looks and appearance, she could tell that Bethany was of a dignified class.

What she didn't understand was what a lady with an extraordinary class was doing next to Irwin.

"Who are you?" Isabella demanded. "And what right do you have to butt in his personal business?"

"What about you?" Irwin retorted. "What's your relationship with him and what right does he have to meddle between us?"

Isabella understood what Irwin meant and was especially displeased by it,

"Trying to play the smart guy, huh?" Danny immediately attacked. "Do you think everyone is as bitter and fucked up as you? Chasing girls around with ulterior motives?"

He took a glance at Isabella.

"The relationship between me and Isabella is neutral and pure." He explained. "And even if I desire to chase after her, there is absolutely nothing shameful about it."

There was a smile of pride outlined on his face.

"After all, she has already divorced a bum like you." He scoffed. "No wonder the rat is desperate enough to cause trouble because he's been kicked out of the church. Now there's nothing to feed on anymore."

Suddenly, Bethany burst out laughing sarcastically,

"Who is of high caliber here?" Bethany demanded to know. "She? She's not even qualified to be Irwin's replacement!”

Bethany's remark shot a wave of shock across the place and everyone was hit by it. Isabella especially was the most affected.

"Did she just say that one of the beauties of Imperial city does not qualify to be a handbag of that young man?"

"With the manner she speaks, she looks like someone way above Isabella's class."

"Or is she trying to say something about that young man that no one else knows?"

The continous murmurs of the guests tormented Isabella so much that she was driven far away from her cool.

Bethany could see the look on Isabella's face. So this was myopic lady who divorced a powerful man like Irwin. Anyways, it was her loss.

With everyone watching, Bethany turned her grim face towards Danny,

“Hah, so he can't find anyone better if he leaves her? Am I not good enough?” There was a lot of affection towards Irwin in her tone. “Answe me, am I not?” She demanded.

"What!" Danny gasped so hard that he almost choked on his breath. He couldn't believe both his eyes and ears.

How could a nobody and miser like Irwin, who just lost a gorgeous lady, already have another striking goddess swooning all over him? Danny burned with intense jealousy.

"I think you are mistaking about this guy." Danny refused to accept this.

"Irwin is nothing but an opportunistic asshole." He smeared Irwin's image. "He is a leech who has stuck to his ex wife all his life fending off her till she got tired and plucked him out of her life."

There was a great deal of concern and worry in his tone as he addressed Bethany.

"Do not fall for his tricks." He added. "He will only drag you down with him. He doesn't deserve a lady as stunning as you."

"What is it to you?" Bethany snapped at him.

"What?" Danny couldn't comprehend this.

"Whether I want him or not, how does that affect you?" Bethany continued. "He's the only man I want in this world and so be it."

All jaws dropped at the open confession of this stunning goddess for a seeming commoner like Irwin.

"Besides, I like him as a person, not because of status or his wealth." She declared loudly. "I already have all of those and I don't need them from a man."

Irwin said no word to what Bethany had said. He didn't dispute or refute her.

Isabella was burning in rage. She was so angry that she was visibly reddened. She couldn't believe this charade that was being put up and Irwin's nonchalant reaction to it.

She advanced towards Irwin and landed a slap across his face. The place sparkled with utter disbelief following her action.

"This is a payback for what you did to my brother." Isabella said, glaring at him. "And from this moment, there is nothing left between us ever! We are completely severed."

She turned around and walked away instantly.

Seeing the humiliation that Isabella had just brought to her father's guests, Bethany's rage was kindled and her eyes reddened.

"Hey you!" She called, ready to storm after Isabella and teach her a lesson.

"Let her go." Irwin forbade her. "I don't want this to turn into a big mess."

"Goodness." Gamaliel exclaimed at the sight of such randomness. He wasn't prepared for it, so he wasn't sure of what to expect. At first, all he could see was the back side of the people because a great deal of them were returning into the city. Few who were coming out of the city were male figures. Apparently, he wouldn't want to look at the sensitive areas of his fellow gender. That would be weird and irritational. Suddenly, one of the women whose back view already provoked a stimulus reaction throughout his body, turned around to talk to one of the men. His eyes instantly drifted to the areas of her body that sent every of his body into a wave of heat swamp. His lower area bulged as an effect and he didn't know how to feel. He instantly looked away from it. He had a woman. It was inappropriate for him to be looking at other women like that. Even if he had power over his own will and could do whatever he chose, yet there was moral expectations. Looking away, his gaze shifted to

"What is this?" Gamaliel was at loss for what regarding what was playing out right in front of him. It was something that he couldn't have predicted. He could still tell that they were inside the room, likewise were they in the ocean. Although the water level was rising in the room, he didn't feel like he was inside the water. Also, the walls and furniture in the room weren't wet."How can this be?" Gamaliel held on to the question, willing to get an answer from Edward. He rose to his feet and started to pace. He wanted to judge whether or not it was because he was sitting. Perhaps if he were to walk around, there might be a shift in reality. Yet no matter how much he labored in getting a contrary experience, the reality remained stagnant. "That's the wrong question." Edward said casually. "We shouldn't get carried away by things like this. There is much more to be occupied with.""This is trivial?" Gamaliel asked, turning to look at Edward. If he didn't know better, he probably wo

"The elect." Edward answered that almost all of a sudden. Edward was much more eager to do carryout the instructions of the Father other than dwelling on the things he had just done. Gamaliel couldn't understand something either. People whom he knew would relish in the thought of what they had done. Especially whenever they had ended up killing people or achieving a feat that none other could. The aftereffects of this feat usually made them react in a way. Inclusive of himself. The ego is puffed and there was a way they looked at themselves. It was something that anyone would prune. On the other hand, Edward seemed unbothered by it. Like it was his second nature. If he wasn't moved by something like this, then what in the world could be able to bring out his most shocking reaction? Gamaliel didn't know what to think. "The elect?" He asked as though he had just snapped out of his own thoughts. "Yes, the elect." Edward replied. "Who is an elect?" Gamaliel asked, dwelling on the p

"What---" Rowan wasn't sure of what else to say to complete that sentence. He was at loss for words. He wasn't the only person who was caught between those claws of confusion. Photel and the rest were equally stunned. Elder on the other hand was the most clueless. "What just happened?" Egan, who had been quiet all along couldn't hold back anymore. Just like everyone, he had watched how Elder had tried to disprove what Edward had just done. Although he didn't understand what Edward did either, yet he couldn't deny what he had seen. Elder acting that way was rather thoughtless and a result of pride. "Can you explain to us what happened?" Egan came to a halt right in front of Edward.Elder didn't know how to take this. He didn't want to look pitiful either. He retained the solemn look on his face. It was rather a task to keep up such an act even though things have taken another turn. "The business of demons is quite a delicate matter." Edward began to explain. "The will of the soul

As the order shot from Edward, it would seem as though his voice was a siren, or a blast of waves crashing against a rock. It was so powerful, effective and chaotic. The guns which the soldiers were about to cock sudden became disassembled and dropped from their hands as though they were disarmed by some supernatural force. They all dropped on their knees in the same choreographed manner and raised their heads towards the sky. All their mouths became wide opened and a scream shot forth from them. The pitch and depth of their scream was more of a roar. It was eerie, dark and very much powerful. It could be compared to when a nuke was deployed into a land, whose explosion lasted for at three hours. Black fog of varying shapes started to float out of the nostrils and several body parts of the soldiers as the scream went on. They were being rid of some force that had hijacked their body system from them. They quaked so violently that the scream or roar looked like it could rip their

"All ten thousand of them?" Elder exclaimed, able to judge the severity and urgency of the situation from the reaction of Photel. Rowan already wasn't the type of person to be scared by things like this, but to speak of Photel? Photel was obviously shaken by whatever it was that was happening outside. The banging became even much more heavy and fiesty. Judging by the weight and the manner at which the door was being hit, it was only a matter of moment before the door might cave in or even cave in. There was a kind of noise they were making. This didn't sound like the sound of soldiers who had been given the order to wipe out a civilization. Instead, the sound of their voices were ominous and eerie. "What are we going to do?" Rowan asked, risking his life as he pressed his back to the door. Even if the door would be broken down, he wanted to be first person to be killed. It would be such an honor for him to fall down first in the group of distinguished and powerful men like this.
