The Vintage sparkled with class and opulence. Its exterior view was magnificent and with limitless grandeur. It was the most popular club in Imperial City. Although a club, its building was as massive as twelve-star hotel and its design was classic like a royal castle. And its interior - grandiose and baronial.

A black sleek car pulled over at the front of Vintage. A lady with porcelain skin and beautiful legs appeared. Her shape was symmetrical and attractive. Her black dress outlined the delicate curves of her body. And her beautiful face was just a grace to the rest of the body.

"Who is this gorgeous lady?"

"Is she a celebrity who came for the banquet?"

"Her skin is spotless. She looks like a goddess."

"That is Isabella Rolan, the heiress of the Rolan family. She's fast becoming the lady-in-charge of the reputable Rolan Groups. Not only that, she is also one of the top three beauties of Imperial city."

The explanation of the guest drew more attention to Isabella Rolan. They could all gaze at her in distance. None of them could go near to her because they felt intimidated by her looks and status.

"Having someone as beautiful and reputable as Miss Isabella at the Vintage truly speaks volume of the class of this banquet."

"I can't wait to see the host of the event."

"Heard that she's the most beautiful lady across the country."

Danny Ceballos also climbed out of the car and heard the guest murmuring about him and his status, too. He relished in the praises, but was much more interested in Isabella.

"What do you think of this place?" He asked her, his gaze keen on her.

"The Victorian features of the club has such a beautiful feel. It's true that the Colwill family are class apart." She replied.

"The Colwill family ranks at the top three most powerful families in the country. Bethany Colwill, the only daughter of the city's Chamber of Commerce, and the CEO of Rathclif, organized this event."

"With such status, only distinguished men of honor will be present."

"Truly. And sooner or later, I'll put in my words for Rolan Group so that they can be favorite in the shortlisted list of the Rathclif Groups."

While they were discussing, Danny Ceballos suddenly spotted a young man. A sneer appeared on his face.

"What is that bastard doing here?" He wondered, closing the pace.

"Isn't it strange that someone like you is here?" Danny called at the top of his voice, deliberately creating attention.

He couldn't begin to imagine what a nobody like this young man would be doing at a reputable club like Vintage.

Isabella also spotted Irwin and her eyes squinted in confusion. She didn't expect that she would see him here.

"Don't tell me that you stalked Isabella down here because you haven't gotten over her yet? So you came to meddle?" Danny accused, scoffing with a disgusted look.

"Why would I be here because of Isabella?" Irwin tackled, unamused by the joke being pulled.

He knew who this man was but he wasn't surprised. Seeing Danny with Isabella wasn't much of a surprise since James had already boasted of it.

"Just admit it and stop with the act." Danny jeered. "You've discovered how miserable your life is without her. Now you came to beg her to take you back."

"You don't have to act the tough guy. We can already see through your trick." He added, having a good laugh.

"You must be out of it." Irwin snapped, disgusted by his unreasonable claim. "After signing that divorce paper, that was the end for me and Isabella. Even a dog won't go back to his vomit And that’s that. Why would I waste my time on a woman I’ve already abandoned?" Irwin's tone was blunt and cold.

Hearing what Irwin had just said, Isabella was provoked. Not only because Irwin had rejected her in public, but because they were people watching.

Even though they were divorced, he didn't have the right to openly talk down on her like this. She was way out of his league and should not allow him to tarnish her image in public.

“Is that so?” Isabella scoffed. “So what are you doing here, then? Forgotten the rules outside because you were locked up in prison for too long? Did you come here to act out? Didn't you check well? This is Vint…”

"You must think Vintage is your father's Villa" Irwin scoffed coldly. "News flash. The world does not revolve around you. Can't imagine someone so full of themselves!” He spat in disgust.

"Full of myself?" She laughed. "What did you expect? Waste my time and life on a man who has no ambition for his life?"

Seeing that the complexion of Isabella had changed, Danny moved closer to her.

"Isabella, dear." He said. "You shouldn't let your mood be ruined by a nobody like this."

"A loser like him will only want to pull you down to his level. Making you stoop so low to exchange words with him. Someone like you is class ahead of him. He isn't even worthy of lacing your shoes."

Danny's words were therapeutic to Isabella. He was right. Irwin was only trying to provoke her to get her reaction.

"Now, you've outdid yourself." Danny turned to Irwin with a cold gaze. “Any man in his right senses, even though divorced, will still have some respect for his ex-wife. Be a gentleman and apologize to her.”

At his demands, Irwin could hear a couple of the guests giving a piece of their mind. They all thought he was in the wrong.

Irwin was not bothered by what strangers thought of him. Instead, he was totally displeased and disgusted by what Danny had just asked of him.

"You must be out of your mind to think I would do that." Irwin swore and turned to leave.

Seeing that Irwin was leaving, Isabella thought that he was feeling guilty, that was why he was trying to escape.

"Where do you think you are going?" Isabella blocked his path.

"Move out of the way." Irwin demanded strongly.

"Or what?" She snapped. "You have to tell me why you are here at the banquet, otherwise, you are going nowhere!"

Irwin couldn't handle her roughly because she was a lady, yet he was slowly running out patience.

Suddenly, a striking figure approached the scene.

"Who is stopping him from leaving?" She demanded, imposing herself majestically.

Dowan has a good memory. This had helped him a lot when he was learning coding and several other tech skills that had brought him this far. Although he could meet a person just now, whenever he sees them in a period of time, he could remember them. But this mostly work for sounds than images, especially when it comes to humans. This voice sounded like someone whom he had met not long ago and he was right as he turned to see the young man who had dissed him just now at the vending machine. "You." Dowan muttered, very certain that this obviously wasn't what he wanted to say, but he needed to clear his head first and get his bearing. He needed to understand why anyone in their right mind would suddenly jump at him and snatch his phone for no reason. He had a cool, but this could never be accepted, not even by the self-accreditted meekest person in the world, Moses. "What do you think you are doing?" Dowan was trying not to explode or flare up. "Have you lost your mind?"Earlier he wa

News soon spread out and everyone was wondering what had just happened. No one could tell what this was about or how it had come to be, yet the strength of the news could be found on the wings of the winds."Did you also hear about it?" One of the many students gathered in the cafeteria on the school campus argued. "I thought it was a joke. Who could have ever imagined any iota of truth in that?" "But it had dawned on us as the truth. How can this be? What in the world?!" A pretty red-haired lady wondered. Dowan was one of the people who had just strolled into the cafeteria and could hear the students clamoring over something. At first, he didn't want to bother about it. He was once a student and he knew that every new week, students had something to gossip about. He thought perhaps this was one of those many areas of gossips. But when he stopped for a moment at the vending machine and looked around seeing all the students in batches, discussing the same thing. He didn't think he

Irwin turned away from the strange young lady, who was sitting on the chair in front of him, to Bethany, who now has a smile on her face. Just about a moment ago, Bethany's face held an expression that was harder than a nut or a raisin, too hard to be cracked even by the most rugged part of a rock. Seeing her smile when he had asked a question didn't provoke anger or any hostile emotion. Instead, it struck something urgent inside of him. "Did she leave already or go to the restroom?" Irwin asked again. Without waiting to get a reply from Bethany, he turned back to the strange young lady with warm, elegant features. "Are you related to her?" Irwin asked the young lady, his eyes randomly straying to the pair of simple shoes she wore. Seeing the shoes the young lady wore, it struck a sudden memory in his mind, and his eyes widened as he looked back at her. By the time he looked at the young lady again, there were fresh tears rolling down her face. Her eyes were watery, and there w

"Huh?" Isabella's eyes were too reluctant to move from this man to whatever it was that he had placed on the table. She wished she understood what was happening right now but she just couldn't come to process it. It would make sense if it was coming from a beggar or receptionist. But from someone who control the business scope of the consortium? The calm, respect, composure, demeanor. Everything screamed awe. What in the world was happening?
