Then, the door pushed open. Lucy stepped in first, “Come in, my useless boyfriend isn't around. He won't be home until—-” her words died in her mouth the minute she saw Ethan sitting on one of the couches. " You're here.” She asked, her eyes filled with shock. " I am,” Ethan replied quietly as he looked from her to Lucas, who was standing behind her. His jaws clenched. Soon, he would try out the fighting skill he had gotten from the system earlier. She pushed the thought aside and said to him, “I didn't come here to talk useless talk. As you can see, my boyfriend and I are here for something else." Ethan lifted his chin, waiting for her to state what he already knew she was here for. "The deed of the house. My name is on it too, and I deserve to have it.” At this, Ethan stood up from the couch. “Really?" He asked, placing his hands into his pockets. “Of course," Lucy replied, rolling her eyes. “Where is it?” "You know I won't let you take it.” " And who would dare stop us?” Lucas asked, walking closer. The more he stepped forward, the more intimidating he tried to be. ‘With muscles like that, Ethan was a goner.’ Lucy thought. Ethan didn't flinch. He held gaze with Lucas and replied, "The deed is not leaving this apartment.” Lucas's eyes darkened. "It's best if you cooperate, loser. I do not show mercy." He began to crack his knuckles. Ethan's lips pulled up to the side, " Neither do I." The cold mechanical voice dinged. [Rage detected from Lucas.] [+10 Rage Points.] Lucas was the first to throw a punch, but Ethan stepped aside. The force caused Lucas to almost lose his footing, but he was able to steady himself. His eyes darkened. [Rage detected from Lucas.] [+20 Rage Points.] Then, Lucas tried again, throwing another punch, but Ethan caught his fist and punched his stomach, causing Lucas to arch forward. Before he knew it, another punch landed on his face, causing him to stagger backwards. Lucy's eyes widened. " What—” Lucas steadied himself again. Frustration and anger clouded his eyes. [Rage detected from Lucas] [+50 Rage Points] “How dare you?!!” He roared as he launched forward, not holding back. Ethan caught his wrist and twisted it into an uncomfortable angle. “Arghhh!" Lucas screamed. Ethan pulled Lucas closer, then raised his knee, connecting it to his jaw, causing Lucas to groan out in pain. Before Lucas could process what had just happened, Ethan kicked his chest before finally letting go of his hand. The force of the kick sent Lucas flying, and with a loud thud, his body hit the door. “Lucas!" Lucy screamed, rushing over. But with three long strides, Ethan got to Lucas first. He grabbed the man by the collar and pulled him up. Lucas was breathing heavily. He tried to grab Ethan's hands that held his collar, but he was too weak. The first punch landed on his jaw, and another loud crack echoed. Second punch. Third punch. Ethan went on and on, Lucy screamed and yelled, but wasn't able to stop Ethan. [Rage detected from Lucy] [+40 points] “I'll call the police!" Lucy yelled. Ethan finally let go of Lucas, who fell on the ground like a sack of potatoes. His face was covered in blood, as well as Ethan's fist. “Go ahead." Ethan replied to Lucy as he pulled out a handkerchief to wipe his hand clean, “Let them come. After all, there's a thief in my house. Don't forget you bought a designer bag with my savings.” [Rage detected from Lucy] [+60 points] “You—” She paused when she realized that Ethan was right. Calling the police now can land her in the station for taking his money. She gritted her teeth. " This is not over!” [Rage detected from Lucy.] [+82 Rage Points.] Ethan chuckled. "No. It's not. I expect every penny you stole from me soon.” Lucy's eyes darkened. "Lucas, let's get out of here.” Lucas, with the help of Lucy, stood up and staggered out of the house. Ethan slammed the door shut.
