"Make sure Hughes signs all the papers I've given to you, and in ten minutes, let him in to see me," Ethan said, handing over the papers he had used his skill to curate. Henry stood there for a moment. He still didn't understand what Ethan was planning. But since Ethan had told him exactly what to do, he decided it was best to do as he was told, hoping it would all work out to their benefit. He drew a slow breath, then walked back to where Mr. Hughes was sitting impatiently."What was that about? Why did you give that lowlife an audience before me?" Hughes asked.Henry could have taken the time to explain. Instead, he decided not to beat around the bush and did exactly what Ethan had instructed."The owner of Imperial Tower has come into his office and is now ready to see you," Henry said. "But he said that before you enter, these papers must be finalized and signed, and the deposit made. Once that's done, there will be no discussion left to have, and the presentation will be ready.

"You!" Harrison said, his face already flushed, and Ethan wondered why it looked that way so early in the morning."I called you several times and you didn't pick up. Where did you dump your phone? Or two, we attend to your situation, which is more pressing. He had gestured for them to enter through the front door and stepped out of their way, but his hands were still shaking as he directed them inside, his face full of confusion and uncertainty about what could happen next.Ethan and Diego stepped into the building. Diego looked around quickly, and within moments he had worked out the layout and where each corridor was likely to turn."Let's go," Diego said, and they moved through the corridors.It was impossible for their presence not to stir up curiosity, confusion and caution among the staff who watched them pass.But nobody dared stop them. He read the doors, the signage and the direction people were hurrying in, and picked out the meeting room from the way the staff were running helter skelter around it, the only floor in the building where everybody looked like they were trying to avoid something.
