Chapter 64: Cast out of the family

Meanwhile, at the police station, everywhere was bustling with everybody busy with one or two tasks. They were all focused on their work, not even having the chance to have free talk with their colleagues except those who were working together or exchanging useful information.

A young man not in uniform walked into the main hall of the police department with an ID hanging on his neck, indicating that he was a cop there.

Walking inside the busy hall with a tired look on his face, his white T-shirt was soaked with sweat, a testament of the long day he had endured.

"Detective Deng, Captain requests you immediately report to his office when you're back," another cop said to him after they exchanged greetings.

Without any hesitation, he made his way to the Captain's office.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

"Come in," a deep voice said from inside.
