Seth and Clarissa came out of the car, irritated and ready to have a fierce quarrel with the Cybertruck driver.. Seth had a reason for this; he knew that if he pleaded, he might get off with a fine, but he didn't have the funds to pay a heavy amount of such fine.. this was a Cybertruck limo for crying out loud.

Unknowingly, the driver of the Cybertruck limo was actually the Personal Assistant and Adjutant of Clyde. Danielle was driving one of the most expensive cars in the world.. what's a Lamborghini Aventador or a BMW X7 compared to a Cybertruck.. and not just any Cybertruck, but a Cybertruck limo.

Danielle had come pick up Clyde. She has received a call from the Royal family to bring Clyde back to the palace as the Empress sought to comfort her son. Danielle didn't even glance at Clarissa nor the fuming Seth, rather she went straight to Clyde and performed the courtesy bow.

“Young lord, I am glad you seem fine.” she said as soon as she raised her head.

“I thought you'd come tomorrow Danielle.” Clyde was a bit surprised to see Danielle.

“Certainly not, young lord. When you told me your wife sought to divorce you, I rushed towards here as soon as I could. I still can't believe your wife chose to divorce you without even knowing how wealthy you are. Does she know that you can actually buy that company she's working in? Heck! The entire Empire is yours, what's a company building! She chose to discard a blue diamond for trash!” without even waiting for Clyde's response, Danielle turned towards Seth.

“Hey! You hit my car! Do you how much that car costs? Weren't you watching where you were driving? Such reckless driving will get you killed, not like anyone will miss such an ugly boar like you. Tsk!”

“You were the one who swerved into this lane and still have the cheek to blame me!” Seth retorted in anger. He knew very well that he was in the wrong, but Danielle's berating had made him a bit unreasonable.

“Tsk! What can one expect from trash like you. You really are shameless to blame others for your mistake!” Danielle gave a trash talk as a reply.

“You dress up like a Prince, but you have no common sense, you're like a brainless dufus dressed like a princeling.” Danielle continued.

“That's enough Danielle. Let's go.” Clyde spoke as he went towards the car.

“Young lord, allow me.” Danielle rushed towards Clyde and opened the passenger door. Clyde slid in. Without even giving a second glance to Seth and Clarissa, Danielle slid into the driver's seat and switched on the ignition. The Cybertruck limo roared to life and then drove off.

Meanwhile Clarissa who had witnessed and heard everything could not be more dumbfounded as she was now. She could only watch as the billion trium vehicle sped off into the distance.

Seth who had finally calmed began to process all that had happened. He began to sweat as he now realized he might have offended a big shot in disguise.. who said Clyde Tresslar was just a slum dweller!? Do slum dwellers own a multi billion trium vehicle!? No.. that Clyde had been living there for over a year and from what Clarissa said, he had no savings, so why did he become rich all of a sudden!? And on the day of the divorce.

“He must have paid a an actress and also hired that car to impress you and sway you back into marrying him again.” Seth spoke with a smug.

Hearing this, Clarissa snapped out of her daze. Yes, Seth was right, if Clyde was that rich, then he won't have slaved for the OLR company. He must have hired that car and actress to make her fall for him.. too bad his childish plans has been seen through.

“Let's go darling.”

Seth and Clarissa got into the car and drove off in the opposite direction.

“Sir, the Emperor and Empress asked me to convey you directly to the palace. I personally don't think it will end well if you go there.” Danielle said with a bit of worry in her voice.

“Take me to my apartment in Gold city, I want to clear my head.” Clyde responded. He too didn't want to return to his home till he's sorted out his emotions.

“Yes Sir. Which of the cars are you taking out Sir? I will have it delivered.” Danielle asked as she swerved into the highway leading to Gold City.

“I don't know yet. Let get home first, then I'll decide.”

Ring!

“Her Majesty the Empress seeks to speak with you Sir.” Danielle said as she glanced at Clyde.

“Put her through.” he said as he braced up for what was to come.

“My little boy, is it true what I heard? Did that ingrate divorce you and say hurtful things to you?”

“Mother, do not worry about it. It's all under control.” Clyde said in a soothing tone to show he wasn't really hurt. He just wanted nothing more than to end the call right there.

“Clyde, didn't she show any sign of wanting to end the marriage? Weren't there any sign?” His mother said with a bit sadness for her son.

Clyde's mind immediately flashed back once again to what the middle-aged man had said.

“I once had a wife who didn't see me as a nice fit for her. She had come from a nice family and I was of a humble background. We got married due to the love we had for one another. But two years later, she demanded for a divorce, guess what? She had found someone else. Women who suddenly find faults in you and request for separation have one thing in common; they have found someone else and seek to ditch their former lover.”

He sighed and kept silent for a brief moment before responding.

“The sign was there, but I loved her too much and was blind to the truth. That will never happen again.”

The clearing stood in stunned silence as the night wind stirred the pine needles and whistled between the barrels of drawn rifles. The woman named Valeria stepped forward, her boots crunching softly against the gravel of the compound path. Her coat fluttered behind her like the wings of some dark omen. Her expression was calm, surgical—eyes like steel, calculating everything and giving nothing away.Derick stepped to the forefront, his weapon unwavering. “Last chance. Identify your purpose or turn around. This isn’t a diplomatic mission.”Valeria’s lip curved ever so slightly. “Relax, Commander. If I wanted war, your perimeter would already be ash. I came to speak. Preferably before the next decision you make costs you your command.”Danielle emerged from the shadows of the main building, her steps brisk, gaze locked onto Valeria. She stood beside Derick, not out of allegiance—but necessity.“Valeria,” Danielle said, her voice low, laced with bitter recognition. “I thought you were a

The moonlight barely pierced the dense canopy above, throwing ghostly beams onto the forest floor as Danielle sprinted through the underbrush. Every step forward was another yard between her and the charred remains of Seth’s crumbling empire. But the escape wasn’t complete—not yet. She needed extraction. She crouched by a moss-covered rock, pulling the radio she’d taken from the fallen guard. She turned the frequency dial, hoping someone, anyone, was listening. Static at first. Then a crackle.“repeat, team alpha has arrived. Targets neutralized. No visuals on the asset.”Danielle pressed the button. “This is Danielle. I'm in the woods southeast of the compound. Heading toward creekside. Respond.”A tense pause. Then, “Danielle! Thank God. This is Derick. Hold your position. I’m sending two men to get you. Do not engage. Do you copy?”“Copy that. Just hurry
